Because there is a zero percent chance that there isn't a single kid worthy of an offer from Texas, and I like UT kids to be from Texas.

I’m in the same boat. It’s a lot more fun to follow when you see kids you recognize from their high school days vs mercenaries from anywhere USA. And then you had that large study a few years ago that showed most NFL draft picks went to college in their home state. For a lot of reasons you should focus on homegrown talent and just supplement with out of staters.

So does it have to clear the netting for a home run?

You could make a stupid question greatest hits album just off baseball questions that astro fans ask.

Also Judge nodding to Wash after multiple IBBs and Wash's reaction is pretty great:

One thing that does annoy me about judge is his try-hard nice likable guy schtick. What happened last night was a fucking travesty, no fan pays all that money to watch the best hitter in baseball get walked for basically no competitive reason. No one on base, really? That’s terrible for the game and judge should’ve been pissed. Instead he makes a joke out of it, and soon will come the slump because he’s A-ok not seeing game-action pitches for a while. It hurts him and the game

Because I only have time to work out at home, so I don't have a built in spotter. I'm down to get jacked but I'm just busy as fuck

Don’t clip in the plates when you bench. Worst case if you can’t lift it up tip the bar to one side, those plates will slide off and gravity will make the other side slide after. I rarely had a spotter on my benching journey

  5. I just spent all of my 20s in the SA dating/nightlife scene. If you’re someone that age dating is truly terrible compared to Austin/Dallas/Houston. And I say that as a very fit, tall for SA guy that had no problems finding dates. I once went on a date with a doctor that was saying it was really difficult dating as a woman like that because of how few men there were in town that made anything close to her salary or even close to six figures. Which I had never thought about but the stats support it.
No one hot goes out to St Mary’s street. That’s literally just for fat poor people and wannabe goths. There’s probably 4 or 5 nice bars in town for an attractive single person. You also have to add in the fact that every year a handful or more of people out at bars get killed by stray bullets here and its really not worth it. SA has a lot going for it in other areas, but if you’re young and looking for nightlife or that kind fun it’s probably the worst city I can think of.

  6. I saw a game at the new Rangers park last September and thought it was fantastic, way better than the old one. Great food and drink options and that Loews hotel next to it is probably the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed. Such an easy walk, and then texas live was great after the game as well. Really surprising at how enjoyable it all was. I’ve been to 11 parks, my top 5:

    1. Wrigley

    2. New Yankee Stadium

    3. New Rangers

    4. Oracle in SF

    5. Dodger Stadium

    Close 6th: Fenway

I mean he didn't respond. It's literal Reefer Madness shit and deserves to be shouted down.

I had + repped captains response. To me something doesn’t have to be physically addictive to be dangerous or negative.

Also, to clear the air I’m pro legalization. If alcohol is legal so should weed.

THC addiction. Sorry, that’s horseshit. THC is not physically addictive. You’re not going to OD on weed. You’d have to smoke a ridiculous amount to “OD”, and we’re talking smoking thousands of pounds in like 7 minutes.

I’ve heard this all my life (always from people that happen to smoke all the time and can’t go a day without it) and it’s completely ridiculous. Plenty of people are addicted to weed, because it’s possible to get addicted to anything. If you think nobody is addicted to weed you didn’t know many stoners growing up.

We're driving to Cali in June for Disney, San Diego, etc. Anyone have any tips for the return trip, preferable through I-10. We're pretty dialed in for getting out there, since we have hard ticket date to Disney, but we have some more flexibility on the way back. Any suggestions?

Stop in El Paso and try to get Ryan Estrada’s autograph

Yeah, fucking barely. Nice try, but go back to your delusional world.

This “dumbass” schtick has long outlived what little humor it had when you started.

If you’re really that fucking dumb, it must be true bliss.

Now go back to your knees.

You called it “barely average”, when in actuality it is above-average. I am sorry you were wrong.

    2.  I've honestly never seen "teammate interference" called, but if that dude were the 3rd base coach, it wouldn't be interference because the rule requires that the coach
"physically assists" the runner, and that doesn't look like assistance to me.

But it was how Game 3 ended that made it especially memorable. Johnson thought it had tied the game with a two-out RBI in the seventh inning at Whataburger Field, but the Johnson runner barreled over head coach Gordon Gesell rounding third.

Gesell, who was waving his player home but was out of the coaches box, was called for interference and despite some disagreement with the umpires, the game ended with a 1-0 Carroll final, clinching the series.

Carroll third baseman Josh Cruz tried to make a throw to home, but was forced to step around Gesell who had stood up after the collision.

Carroll coach Lee Yeager successfully argued for the interference call based on a play he had seen at the 2010 state tournament.

Sidenote, those Carroll teams with Courtney Hawkins massively underachieved only ever bringing home one title.

Most players would kill for barely average production in October?

That’s actually still above the average MLB OPS. Maybe try learning about the game before chiming in.

DOGE got another one.  There is no way this huge uptick in air travel disasters isn't connected with Elmo's dorks tinkering around in shit they shouldn't be tinkering around in.

I don’t think there’s been any uptick in fatal plane crashes, this stuff has always happened. The only out of the ordinary thing that has happened is the DC collision.

    Pretty good list.

    Arod at 3rd?

Ichiro or Vlad in RF? Both would have an argument, but like Judge, neither did anything in the postseason (unlike Judge, neither had much of a chance)

Judge’s career postseason OPS is .768. Well below his normal output but most players would kill for that kind of production in October.

  15. That’s at the very least an honor code violation and grounds for expulsion. Didn’t they kick out their star basketball player right before the NCAA tourney a few years back for having consensual sex with his girlfriend?
