  1. Have they… Have they seriously become a fanbase that only plays bowl games they know they’ll win? If they know they are going to lose, they now want to just not play the game at all? That is fucking pitiful
  2. that’s really all his post was. Whining and complaining about something happening yet providing no examples or evidence for it. - He complained no other Texas message board has a politics forum when IT and Orangebloods both do (and most 247 sites do) as well as every college message board in the country. - Could not provide an example of CR spilling out into the main board - Is upset because the surly CR leans left (which I’d argue standing up for certain principles doesn’t mean some of those folks have moved left rather they do not like or want what has become of their current party) and says it hurts UT when it has no correlation to The University in any way.
  3. This is not Lunardi’s bracket. This is a Reddit users simulation based on Lunardi’s seed projections. This needs to be stated every time something like this is posted.
  4. No, HF was right to very right, Shaggy was definitely right of center. And, no HF wasn’t discussion oriented—I got banned by Katy many times for pointing out hypocrisy by posters and their leanings. IT has a politics forum. Horns 247 doesn’t, but other 247 boards do and they hide it, similar to ou who has a “hunting forum” on their 247 but when you go in there, it’s nothing but politics. Every other message board for colleges of the Big 12 and SEC also have political forums. If you don’t care what CR has to say, why are you whining about it? You haven’t exactly given a reason as to why it’s an embarrassment for UT other than you just don’t like to go in there. And if you don’t like to go in there, then don’t. Right now, you’re just bitching to be a bitch.
  5. This is more of a problem than people care to admit. And whoever that sock is, would they be complaining if the CR forum skewed wildly to the right like it did on Shaggy and HF (and it does on Texags)?
  6. They aren’t crews rather they are selected/chosen for each position based on criteria achieved. An all star crew essentially
  7. Yeah, as an administrator in higher ed, you’re going to have a bit of a problem with a college signing off on this. There are parts of this website that that a college or university wouldn’t want to endorse by promoting an internship opportunity. You *might* have better luck just talking to a department chair or faculty member (especially a PT member) who can spread it around by word of mouth instead of going through a dean. The other thought is to bypass UT and reach out to the journalism department at ACC. Community college students would love an internship to put on their resume when applying to 4-year institutions. But you do have to be prepared for folks to say “no” because of the nature of this website. It’s possible, though, that you can get sign off depending on how you frame the ad. My other suggestion would be reaching out to the Austin Chronicle to see if they have any interns who would like additional opportunities. The alternative newspaper could be a good place to start? That type of media is similar to this website.
  8. This isn’t true. Purity _______ has been around for forever. When I was in high school, the largest church in our town (FBC) was doing purity shit left and right, and this was the late 90s into 2000. Rings, signed forms, wristbands, etc. The weirdest part was the youth pastor who was promoting this was always seen around high school at lunch, showing up to athletic events (which isn’t too weird but was weird), and generally still trying to be a high school student. Purity balls (like actual events) still happen in West Texas as my friend went with his daughter back in 2012. I just quickly changed the subject because he believes in that shit but also drunkly told me he was gay. So no, it’s not something “most Christian’s have never heard of” and in fact, it’s the complete opposite—they’ve heard about and know about these purity balls and tests but because of the blowback of how indoctrinatory it combined with this general creepiness, they keep quiet about it.
  9. I don’t know about that. God’s Gift has an easy ass away schedule for the Big 12. Their hardest games are at ou (not a tough place to play), at houston, at Baylor (are they as good as people think?), and at tech.
  10. How many more ads for bras that an old lady cut up to fit the boobs of old women and keto pills as seen on shark tank do I need to report before it stops?
  11. When Jay Will called them the best team in the country last night I was like
  12. I don’t think we’re underrated either. And Alabama is not winning the NC. This looks like a computer simulation and not Lunardi actually picking the games.
  13. I think @Js1 has given an explanation on this before but why hasn’t volleyball had a FF in Texas? Next year is in Louisville and then Kansas City. Feels like this is a sport that would do well having a FF in Texas or even LA.
  14. The most storied rivalry in sports will finally resume next year:
  15. Well I got my PhD at Nebraska and I’m on their alum email and a few Husker accounts follow me on social media. I’ve been debating spamming the fuck out of them these last few hours.
