  1. They’re weaning him off the ventilator, to see how he breathes on his own, pretty normal after a cardiac arrest event, brain activity can be measured through different tests, severe damage can be seen on a CT, and brain activity measured on an eeg, anything in between its pretty much wake up and assess from there, the person who said earlier that oxygen is a drug is 100 percent correct, they won’t keep him on a vent longer than required because you can absolutely become dependent, someone already has a pretty good idea of what’s going on and they’re keeping it private as they should.
  2. I think a lot of that was probably third hand, I cannot fathom any waiting for a patient who is pulseless or even regained ROSC, the goal of paramedics is always definitive care and that’s a hospital every time. Now a doctor could of assumed care and stalled transport but if so he’s gonna have some questions to answer and a lot of liability.
  3. If his pulse is back it’s great and indicates discontinuation of CPR, it’s how long it was stopped and his brain without 02 that comes into play now.
  4. Speculation only, but if it was commotio cordis, it’s very survivable because it’s cardiac arrest without an underlying condition secondary to impact. Defibrillation(shocked back into a normal rhythm that allows the heart to create a pulse) is the only treatment, and it would need to be rapid, the 9 min down time if he was pulseless is an issue to long term brain function.
  5. No, EMS agency is gonna delay an urgent patient transport without someone overriding that, and it’d have to be a doc
  6. It’s more than likely not aneurysm, standing up like that and then falling over immediately is a rapid, massive drop in blood pressure
  7. Get hit precisely at the right place at the wrong time at the peak of the T wave can cause ventricular fibrillation.
  8. Commotio Cordis, or a massive aneurysm. Hopefully he wasn’t pulseless for 9 min before cpr began.

Used to enjoy this show, then secret service shot a bunch of stray dogs, because “security risk” dumbest shit I’ve heard of
  10. Disregard, reread the thread.
  11. Not sure how much land you’re on, and I’m certain you’re pretty well armed, but do you guys ever have any problems with animals, bears and wolves and such? Or have you been there so long you’re just a part of the background as well?
  12. I can only imagine experiencing that after eating a few edibles.
  13. This is fucking awesome can’t imagine being able to see it from that close.
  14. To throw a flag because the punter is practicing his gymnastics routine is an inexcusable decision.
  15. No one even touched the punter, he’s flopping every time, announcers saw it, noticeable pause, said nothing
  16. sure does seem like 9-10 passing attempts go to Worthy, maybe try something different.
  17. Laughed my ass off, was reading something on my phone when he came up to bad and the sound of contact caused me to look and stand up immediately.
  18. We will be lucky if they pull that extra large skeleton that seems to be unhittable.
  19. And then you’ve got that change up throwing scare crow mtfer
  20. This ump needs to be shot into the sun, even his own strike zone is inconsistent, I mean if you’re gonna call outside, cool, be fucking consistent about it.
  21. He talks as much as Romo, except with way less key insight and more knob polishing of the other team. I’d rather listen to Joe Buck
