Reminds me of the old days at Uncle Nasty's sucking down frozen margaritas by the pitcher.

Different standards of liability make that untenable.
Just because you're found not guilty doesn't mean you didn't do it. See: OJ Simpson.
Well, then, at least make the jury standard unanimous instead of majority for all civil trials.

I'd be more interested in abolishing the right of someone to be sued in civil court for something they were acquitted of in criminal court...

A new car built by my company leaves somewhere traveling at 60 mph. The rear differential locks up. The car crashes and burns with everyone trapped inside. Now, should we initiate a recall? Take the number of vehicles in the field, A, multiply by the probable rate of failure, B, multiply by the average out-of-court settlement, C. A times B times C equals X. If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one.
Or so I've heard.

Austin Gleeson? I had him for PHY303L and wanted to drop it because of the fear and loathing from 303K but hell week was the first week of class second semester. I went to Dean Margaret Baker on Monday (seventh day of classes) and almost cried to try to get out of it. No dice. She stopped short of calling me a pussy, but not by much.
I'm glad I stayed with it, Gleeson was/is one of the great profs at UT. He started the Physics Circus and that's him in 2017;
Gleeson was the best prof I ever had at UT. I was an EE major in the mid 80s...

Herbies kids going to Clemson. Can't believe they didn't SEC SEC SEC.
As part of its 2019 signing class, Clemson announced the additions of Tye and Jake Herbstreit, the twin sons of longtime ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit. The twins played high school ball at Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.

No MBA boy worth their salt goes to an SEC school unless it's Vandy.
