  1. Seriously. She looks terrible
  2. Chugging along myself. 1.5 lbs week is fairly easy compared to 2 lbs so I hardly ever even use the elliptical anymore. Currently bouncing around 196 which is 70lbs off my starting weight 14 months ago. Some sick part of me wants to touch -100 lbs but that may not be wise. I’d guess I only have 15-20lbs of reasonable fat left to lose and hope to get there by Feb/Mar. I bought a Medium Tall golf shirt last week and it fits great. Medium! So bizarre for a guy whose self identity was always the “big guy” in the room. Also comfortably getting into 34” shorts and looking at tapered pants! Good times
  3. This is a terribly named thread…
  4. We have a fairly active thread on streaming tv options Cord Cutters Thread https://www.surlyhorns.com/board/topic/457-cord-cutters-thread/page/58/#comment-5634760
  5. I don't believe the minority republicans could stop it alone. However, it would be difficult to win the nomination from the caucus in the first place if they knew of your plan to solicit Dem votes. You'd have to be sneaky about it. ETA: and even then you have to deal with the MTV rule that still allows Gates to tank the speakership all over again
  6. It's been discussed by the talking heads a few times that the house republican caucus is leaving it up to the nominee regarding when he wants to take the vote to the floor. Some have wanted to try to find votes first, while others wanted to go right to the floor to force public votes one way or the other.

  9. Hurt peoples careers?!?! FUCK that guy!
  10. Getting all aspects of truthful accounts about what happened behind the scenes has quite a bit of value for the country IMO. I know the cult members won’t hear it, or care if they do, but the historical record on this whole circus will need to be studied and understood for generations to come and these pleas will be pretty solid content for that.
  11. Good thing I practiced for it…
  12. Meant to tell you that threads recommend your account to me about a week ago
  13. Pro tip: to maximize your focus training, hit the range while the Blue Angels practice
  14. This is my impression. If you have nothing to hide, let the other party continue to expose it.
  15. Press and hold on a thread with multiple mentions like the one below and you can quickly follow everyone mentioned. Very nice for follow Friday posts https://www.threads.net/@aaronparnas/post/CwqXVfFupat/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  16. Surnames starting with B are grossly over represented on the House floor.
  17. I was wondering why we needed speeches again, but I’m glad Pete Aguilar was able to give this one
  18. They’ve started the MUG wait list 3+ weeks in advance and it’s already 60 deep. It’s going to be a cluster
  19. I’d guess pups are no more likely to stare at an eclipse than they are at the naked sun
  20. Button straddle kills more action than it creates in my experience. Blinds are much more likely to fold when they have so many players left to act behind them. At Bestbet it’s only allowed in time games ($5/10+). All others are UTG only.
  21. I'm pretty sure the problem is that someone has to jump on the continuing resolution hand grenade. It's a thankless task and whoever is in charge Nov 15 will be vilified on Fox and their families will be threatened by MAGA*. *but not single issue Abortion voters, if I'm doing that right
  22. That's me. 25 years in leadership roles burned me out on it so I specifically looked an IC role which I found in my current gig. Life's to short for that stress and drama. Of course, I've been sucked back into a management role "short term to fill a gap" anyway. /facepalm I've seen so many examples of the peter principle I've lost count. My experience is though I've been absolutely surrounded by highly intelligent individuals (software), many people just don't naturally orient themselves around others, making training/mentoring/strategizing/directing/delegating/leading difficult to execute well. Mistakenly thinking everyone lives/works/thinks like you sets you up for failure as a leader. Happens all the time.
