i wanna see old school oompa loompas. they were the best part. cgi famous face oompas doesn't do it for me.
oompa loompa doopity do. murdering children is good for you. this german fat kid is going to drown. that will turn our frowns upside down.
The dwarfs of the world should be shouting bullshit. Opportunities are limited as it is - CGI’ing oompa loompas is a kick in their crowded teeth.- 2

Someone should start a post about the most polarizing movies/tv shows on here. Looks like Wonka 71/05 would make the list.
Wilder version was magic, Depp version is just a movie.
Oh and F Grandpa Joe. Freeloading POS.- 1

Watching T2 right now for this first time in decades. Woof. Damn near every line that kid says is horrid. He’s got to be the worst actor in any $100mm movie ever.
Damn near ruins the movie for me. Just awful. -
Really enjoyed X, but Pearl was incredible. I can’t remember a horror movie performance that was more worthy of an Oscar nomination with the exception of Toni Collette in Hereditary.
Absolutely insane that neither were nominated. -
“Let’s just write something kinda like Lost where our viewers will be invested in what the hell jt all means.”
“So how do we end it?”
“Doesn’t matter, it will get cancelled before we get there. Just keep pumping out clues that lead to nothing.” -
This will be the last season of The Other Two
My first reaction when I hear “toxic work environment” when it comes to Hollywood writing rooms is entitled brats that wouldn’t last 2 weeks at SNL. The reality seems to be that a lot of these sets do, in fact suck ass to work at, and a lot of it does come from SNL culture. Sounds like the two creators Sarah and Chris are dicks. I read somewhere that Tina Fey called them out and even said Lorne has “released monsters out in the world”. Who knows if it’s really that bad. Or if that’s the reason it’s over. -
Rewatched Man on Fire for maybe the 5th time. Maybe my favorite Denzel movie.
Is the opinion that Man On Fire >>>> Training Day a crazy statement for the rest of you?- 2

Fully expected it but todays ebrake is going to be all Norm. Norm’s finest ebrakes.
Calling Norm during his interview with Mike Leslie was the perfect last e-brake. -
Have you heard of Triangle (2009)?
Triangle is severely underrated. Endless possibilities/theories.- 1

I've only seen season 1.
Phenomenal.
Somewhere along season 2 I lost track.
There's a season 3?
If you thought Season 1 was phenomenal, Season 2 is must see for you. I’m halfway though Season 3 and jury is still out. It’s definitely a lot different. -
I looked for a thread from back in the day but couldn’t find one. After hearing about this for years I finally decided to give it a shot and I’m glad I did. Almost finished with Season 1 and highly recommend it for those of you who haven’t seen it. I’ve read it gets better still. This is like Criminal Minds on steroids with better writing and acting intertwined with a sophisticated Hannibal storyline. Also, how was this on NBC? This show did a truly horrifying mushrooms storyline way before The Last of Us.

Went to see Mulholland Drive last night on 35 mm with Richard Green (The Magician) doing Q&A and the chick that sang the Spanish version of “Crying” hanging out as well. Very cool experience. Seen it 3-4 times through the years, but this was like seeing it for the first time. Still don’t know what tf was going on, but great flick.

Better episode this week.
-
Spoilers of course.
Great but not amazing ending. Pretty straight forward - if you come to terms with who you are - redeemed, if you don’t, not so much.
Completely agree that the Jim Moss storyline made no sense. No way he gets played like that.
We got great scenes from Fuches and Sally. Barry walking out and getting in to his car awkwardly with all that on his back was great.
I’m satisfied, but not texting all my TV friends “holy shit”.- 1

From “My Left Foot”?
That’s a deep cut….
I’ve laughed out loud like 10 times already half way through.- 1

NoHo Hank already in rare form.
“Add to cart….”- 1

Wizard of Oz is not appropriate to show your kids - is this a popular sentiment?

I had free time yesterday afternoon and so I got a ticket to Fool’s Paradise. I cannot say it strongly enough. Do not watch this movie. I left after 30 minutes. I stayed that long to see if it would get better. The person that greenlighted this movie should probably be a Wal-Mart greeter instead.
I usually am pretty middle of the road on movies and find enjoyment in most every film I watch, but this was just, well l, I’m not real sure what it was supposed to be.
Sometimes it’s on you. -
And I looked this up a long time ago, b/c I had to know where "If it's that kind of party, I'll stick my dick in the mash potatoes." came from...
I've used that line many times in my life.

Just seeing this post. Used this line many times in my life as well. Also loved it when Guzman drops it in Waiting…. -
I posted about this in one of the other threads - really enjoyed first season. Second season is a beating so far.

Missing: Dead or Alive. Watched the first episode and this is like a bunch of Facebook Moms decided to get in to law enforcement.

Can someone explain how the Kraken got this good as an expansion team?

Trying to turn an idea for a podcast into a radio station.

Arthur Knight? That name is such a give up. Would be like a Brit pretending to be a native Texan with a name like Davy Alamo.

Haha - I love seeing reactions to this movie. Last 30 minutes is….jarring. I’m a big fan. I actually think it’s better on the second viewing.
I’d you haven’t seen S. Craig Zahler’s other work definitely check out Dragged Across Concrete and Brawl in Cellblock 99.
