  1. Are you really worried about the moral ambiguity of getting one over on Walmart? It is being shitty to very slightly defraud Walmart? Is there fraud even occuring? Does this even fall outside the lines of Walmarts return policy?
Again, even if so.. you're calling somebody shitty, in defense of Walmart... Really?

    Yes. Dick maneuver.

  2. While I think this conversation begins and ends with Hendrix's version of Watchtower, SRV's version of Voodoo Child is solid, but not as good as his version of Little Wing.

Stevie's version of every cover he ever did is better than the original, with the only possible exception being Superstitious because it's not really a guitar song.

  3. I went to fucking Justin Timberlake tonight. Bought my wife tickets for our anniversary. I own all you idiots but also deserve all the ridicule all at once. So is the conondrum of being married.

Nothing wrong with that. Smart move.
  4. Our school had a little ceremony (just recognition, no walk across the stage or anything) for the kiddos who just finished 5th. In the school cafeteria. Took about an hour. Ours has been at that school since pre K, so 7 years. We're fairly involved, know all the teachers, etc. I thought it was a nice way to say goodbye.

  5. There's a bunch of good ones that come to mind: Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, Tool, STP, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, NIN, RATM, Toadies, Dream Theater, Muse, Deftones, Radiohead, Weezer, Janes Addiction, Collective Soul, Blackberry Smoke, CCR, Etc etc etc....

My pick out of that list would be Alice In Chains over Nirvana only because I like their music better.

  6. I'm not big on celebrations in general. My last company used to always use the example of "hey when we do something good we need to spike the ball and roll around in the end zone". I get that lots of people like this and as the leader I was supposed to encourage and be involved in this stuff.

I told them I'd rather just take the earl Campbell approach and hand the ball to the ref and jog back to the sideline. My aggy and SMU bosses never really appreciated it.

  7. I agree 100% on compassion, but I think that's on the parents not the school.

The real question that needs to be answered, and has been mentioned a few times already, is why are we as a society turning out so many more high school aged serial killers than we have in the past.

If we don't figure it out we will end up with highly unpopular solutions because no one likes anything that's been proposed.
