So... Why was closetohumping doing his own electrical work and the electrician just hanging around?

Have you ever caught anyone staring at your junk? I was wearing sweat pants even though it's like 90 degrees out here.  It's happened a couple of times and yesterday, I'm pretty sure I caught my electrician looking a couple of times.  Towards the end of the install, he said "hey man, I normally don't carry Tesla hooks around but you put off real good vibes so I can install this one for you.  Text me if you have any questions about the install."

But all these “bad” places are being overrun with folks coming from the “good” places. Here’s my advice: if you’re from California or Oregon or Chicago or New York and you’re now living in Texas or Florida or Oklahoma. Go the fuck home. Leave now. We dont want your whining about how great Portland was or how hot to is or that you don’t like our Mexican food. Fucking go back where you came from.

    No take backs.

interesting tactic, posting this, knowing your wife has her own account here and at some point will probably read it.

is this your pre-emptive "told you so" for when it happens?

I'm a dumbass who took two years of Latin in college, because I took two years of Latin in high school and I really liked the teacher, and aside from the language the historical context was interesting to me.  But I had no clue that I'd eventually end up in Texas where Spanish is a second language, and no sense of the value of learning a language -- Spanish, French, whatever -- that had some practical application.  I knew I wanted to go to law school, and sometimes people would say that Latin might be good because a lot of legal terms are in Latin.  Well big fucking deal, there are a few Latin terms, but I honestly couldn't tell you the translation of those terms, I just now the legal meaning.

If I had a do-over, I'd have taken Spanish or French.
