  1. True. I’m euro biased. As are many others. I hope it is the outlier.
  2. Yup. That’s what I’m worried about. No power for multiple days.
  3. Both. Euro went west again and has pressure around 940.
  4. Euro ensemble. This storm has me nervous. I don’t trust anything about 2020.
  5. This is what has me worried. I hope NHC knows something with their countless other models that aren’t public.
  6. Euro going west again. Supposedly this one initialized better.
  7. Also. Saw this interesting graphic posted somewhere. The wind field from Ike. Definitely don’t want Laura west of where Ike hit.
  8. Not all of the models. I still don’t feel comfortable yet. That HMON is like worst case scenario. UKMET shows something similar.
  9. 18z Euro run. Not an ensemble just one solution. Still shows East. For comparison then HWRF goes full apocalyptic: So we have no idea at the moment.
  10. GFS has Laura further north than her actual location. Euro will be interesting to see.
  11. Track guidance provided by NHC. Not super great for Texas: As a result, the new NHC track forecast favors a more southerly and westerly track solution similar to the preponderance of the track guidance. However, the new forecast track has not been shifted as far to the left as the consensus models in the event that the models shift back to the north. However, the latter scenario is appearing less likely based observed satellite trends since the previous advisory.
  12. I believe the buyer would already have to have their insurance in place to close. They wisely do not right now so closing would not be possible until the storm is a non-factor. It is a great property. Before Ike it was second row, now its beachfront. Let's hope it stays where it is.
  13. I’ll throw in a humble brag. I could have hurricanes hitting two beach houses I own. One in Galveston and the other in 30A. You should win a reward for that, right? The Galveston house went under contract this week but demand on the island is so high closing is pushing out to 45 days. edit: not that 30 days would help.
