  1. So... do the sanctions have a point? Like the whole point of the sanctions before was to bring them to the table. We did that, and we struck a deal with them. Now we back out of the deal and impose more sanctions. Does he see the point of sanctions as just having sanctions in place for their own sake? Are we holding out until Iran can somehow deliver WORLD PEACE?
  2. The very same. In plenty of cases these people are not visiting/browsing it directly so much as seeing content originating there or being linked to specific posts, but there's no dispute that all this Q nonsense started there. Definitely the sort of place where you'd expect to find a legit high-level intelligence leak that is definitely not a made-up troll. Also let's just take a second here and assume purely for the sake of argument that Q has proven they have insider info coming from high up in the Trump admin. All that would prove is that they are in or working with someone in the Trump admin. A rational person would probably think that this makes Q LESS credible when they make totally unsubstantiated claims about the political opponents of the Trump admin being a bunch of satanist cannibal pedophiles. Like, gee, I wonder if they might have an agenda here. Of course, if this whole thing doesn't go down in flames soon, Trump will absolutely find ways to wink at them and egg them on, probably wile maintaining some degree of plausible deniability. He's not good at much, but playing to his crowd is something he does know. And he likes to give shoutouts to people who say nice things about him almost as much as he likes to complain about people who say mean things. There's just no way he's going to do one rally after another packed with Q people and not find a way to pander to them.
  3. You could make an argument that Trump is a prank that 4chan played on America. I wouldn't go that far, but I'll absolutely say they saw Trump as a troll like them and they were exuberant at the possibility of a president who spends his time trolling everyone. They made multiple coordinated efforts to boost him, including being the biggest initial driving force behind the whole pizzagate thing. And at this point, 4chan trolls know perfectly well that they're performing for an audience of journalists and boomers who don't understand the weirder corners of the internet.
  4. This is fucking idiotic and despicable, even for Branco
  5. Of course the BBC article on this opens with a tweet from someone named “MAGATexAg.” Of course. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-trending-45040614
  6. This will never be topped. The way everyone is just standing around gesturing at each other is amazing. My favorite might be Kennedy and GW looking confused and pointing fingers at Madison, as if to ask if everyone sees this guy trying to catch Obama's poop.
  7. This dude is funnier on accident than most political cartoonists will ever be on purpose e: John Bolton is straight up hunting wabbits
  8. I can no longer tell what’s real so this might be a joke but anyway
  9. More than a lot of other colors, orange is very susceptible to lighting. The same exact orange jersey is going to look very different depending on whether the player is standing in the shade or in the sun or under fluorescent lights or under the big lights at a night game. Not to mention the different factors involved in the photo being taken. Do a google image search for any day game last year, and look at the different photos that show up. For example: Same game, same day, same jersey, same field.
  10. I refuse to believe that anyone married that dude. I don’t even think I believe that someone in an active, committed romantic/sexual relationship with a woman could maintain those hardcore intel/redpill ideas. One or the other has to give pretty fast. Garden variety casual misogyny, sure. But not like that.
  11. Going back to what I said earlier
  12. Are you now or have you ever been familiar with girls who wear fishnets
  13. Someone said girls don’t like NIN and I stopped reading the thread sorry
  14. Generally not the biggest fan of the huge arena type productions. Most of my favorite/most memorable shows have been at clubs and such (SXSW is amazing for seeing great acts in intimate venues). And I can't separate "best show" from "show I was the most into while I was there," except that I have to give extra points to any show that left a big enough impression to change the direction of my musical taste for a while. But anyway here's what jumps to mind in chronological order. Yeah Yeah Yeahs at Emo's in 2003 White Stripes at Stubb's in 2003 Shapestatic/Kri in the forest somewhere outside of Austin in 2005 Lemurians at Alex Grey's Chapel of Sacred Mirrors NYC 2006 Clipse and Re-Up Gang at Mohawk SXSW 2008 Girl Talk at 40 Acres Fest 2010 Neutral Milk Hotel at Fun Fun Fun Fest 2014 Cherry Glazerr at Cheer Up Charlie's SXSW 2017 White Reaper at 21st Street Coop SXSW 2018
  15. Zoom G1on and B1on both have a fully functional looper, a very basic drum machine, a great tuner, and like 100 other effects ranging from crummy to surprisingly decent, all for 60 bucks. You can easily spend more than that on a pedal tuner alone, so probably worth a shot. Really it's a great beginner's anything on a budget, at the very least it lets you experiment with all kinds of things and figure out if that's something where you'd want to invest in a non-beginner non-budget version. For a little more you can get one with an expression pedal. I'm sure you can get one from somewhere with a return policy if you have doubts.
  16. I've been using a Zoom B1on as my only pedal with my bass rig, almost exclusively as an always-on compressor. I've been thinking I want to add a very mild/transparent drive to give me just a little hint of breakup, and I've also thought I wouldn't mind having a better compressor. So I've ordered a used Durham Electronics Sex Drive. Can do that mild grit thing AND it has a compressor that is very well-regarded, even if it's not adjustable (one switch that toggles between soft, hard, and off). I'm ok with not having a ton of control over every parameter if the alternative is "you turn it on and it sounds good." A compressor good enough that the ovni lab guy said instantly became one of his favorites has to be good enough for my amateur punk rocking bullshit. And shelling out $140 for TWO boutique effects that happen to be the exact ones I want doesn't seem too crazy to me. I'm excited for it to arrive. Would've preferred to find one of the older, larger ones just because I think they look cooler, but the above is what was available in good condition at the right price at the right time. Old one for reference:
  17. Smashing Pumpkins being amazing at the Siamese Dream release show in 1993:
  18. Remember in 2016 when Trump won an election that no other GOP primary candidate would have won by going to the rust belt and pretending to be Michael Moore? Promising affordable universal health care and generally presenting himself as the champion fighting for the interests of the working class over the big businesses who sold them out? Predictably, the Trump/Ryan/McConnell machine has done nothing except reduce access to healthcare, favor big business over workers and consumers, and generally do their very best to make life harder for poor people whenever possible. Bernie also did pretty well in the rust belt/midwest primaries. That's why the good people of the DNC, after absorbing the hard lessons of their unfathomable pants-shitting faceplant in the 2016 election, have concluded that populist candidates have no chance and the party's only hope of returning to relevance is running tepid corporate-owned centrists (ideally a Kennedy or a Rockefeller or somesuch if possible) and being "civil." Now that the highest-ranking Dem in Congress got primaried by a left-leaning populist, they're doubling down and telling us that we might as well just give up on ever winning the midwest if such people are even going to have a seat at the table in a hypothetical Dem congress. Because they so clearly have their finger on the pulse of that region. How did these become the only viable options? And how hard did the Simpsons nail it on this one (DNC vs RNC) lo those many years ago?
  19. Poor Ron Paul just accidentally keeps putting his name on wildly racist stuff. Weird. Even if he honest-to-goodness had nothing to do with any of it and it was all employees and aides putting stuff out under his name, perhaps he should examine why he has these racist people around him and speaking on his behalf. Then again, at least it's honest. As if anyone warning against the evils of "cultural marxism" is not primarily concerned with maintaining the supremacy of the white Anglo-American heterosexual male in all possible spheres of existence.
  20. And there's already going to be more on-the-job learning than one would probably like, just because basically nobody has experience being the President. I'm sure there's a lot of concepts that carry over from being the governor of a state but it's most definitely not the same job. Pretty much everyone who's ever been in a position to comment, including Trump I believe, has said that it's harder than they figured it would be.
  21. Of course everything is not about race. But race is a thing. Enough of a thing that people categorized as being different races often don't have the luxury of just acting like it isn't. How willfully dense do you have to be to think hundreds years of slavery and systematic official oppression, not to mention widespread and pervasive prejudice, just vaporized in less than the space of one lifetime and everything got reset to zero where it's a level playing field?
  22. Alt-left is like, twitter tankies, not Bill Fucking Clinton. e: Also most of the women in the vagina yelling picture look like they'd be attractive when not actively making a rage-shout face.
  23. I do fine, not 1% or anything but comfortable. Professional, very low 6 figures, homeowner, all that. It’s not about me personally deserving more. I have plenty. Now. I didn’t always. It’s not about what I personally need anymore. It’s about all the people who don’t have what they need. It’s about wanting to live in a society that’s better than this. It’s about not being another useful idiot making $100k who has been suckered into thinking they have more in common with the billionaire class than with people who make $25k.
