Worrying about transfers in the first half of the winter portal is the new worrying about high school recruiting in the summer.
Players whose teams are in the playoffs have an additional 5 days in January to portal. And it’s safe to assume numerous players will enter after this weekend once their teams are eliminated in the first round.
Maybe our coaches are anticipating a wave of players entering after the CFP is over and are content letting other teams blow their wads before that wave hits the portal. Maybe they're content to let the market settle and not get caught up in bidding wars when we don’t need stars as much as quality depth that buys into our culture. Maybe they know they may have to spend more money to retain our roster following our CFP run and are being more measured than aggressive until they get more clarity on that. I don’t really know, but Texas football didn’t all of a sudden get broke and stupid so I imagine we’ll be fine.

Is it employer insurance? Your insurance agent may be able to help out. You may also want to call your state rep or state senator. They can reach out to UHC government relations, Ascension and the Texas Department of Insurance.

If nothing else it gives them a reason to say “we’re so close! Look at how talented we are.”
if nothing else the stars are hope for them.
Exactly. Because that’s all they’ve got.
They haven’t won a conference championship or even played for one since 98. So they have to manufacture shit to celebrate. Everything from WRTS t shirts to ‘Don’t Care Got Jimbo’ coffee mugs is an indictment of a program that hasn’t won jack shit and a school that can’t get out of its own way.

I totally agree...but I was reading your always comment as beyond Sark.
My mistake if otherwise, ai am just opposed to the idea that NIL can cure all ills on the coaching side...
Agreed that NIL isn’t a cure all for bad coaching, but a robust NIL program will be very attractive to the top candidates, so we don’t have to count on NIL making up for a shit coach.

I have GA floor seats to see Wilco Friday night at moody theatre. That’s probably my favorite venue, assuming GA floor, next to Antone’s.

What a dipshit. The play army thing is an embarrassment to the State of Texas. ‘When all the ags went off to war and all the t-sips stayed at home and they sipped their tea’ Go get fucked. I’m all for shit talking but he’s coming across like some dork dressed up like a super hero at comic con thinking he actually has super powers.

I feel like this was an exercise in more is more. Not an attempt at efficient design in any way whatsoever.Agreed. I think the only other thing they could have done is put one of the pickups on rails.

Watching that fat buffoon try to sell a no-name committed to Tulsa, who ATM hasn’t even gotten on campus yet, is both gratifying and hilarious.
Especially if he doesn’t sign with them.

Disclaimer- I don't follow this speculation or know these guys track records. Surely they're more accurate than Toilet Smurf but that's literally not saying anything
He made that prediction back in April

The nightmare scenario is Sark starts a hurt Ewers next week, who fumbles and throws multiple INTs. He's then forced to put in Arch, who plays like shit and aggy wins. So Texas has a hurt QB1 and unreliable QB2....and then the playoff committee treats us like Florida State last year.
What are you fucking smoking to make you post this kind of shit? Texas is all but a lock to make the CFP, and you’re pedantically shit posting and dropping nightmare scenarios. Go to bed.

He and William are confident that A&M did perfectly well with QB recruiting. Now seeking non-highly rated QBs because ratings are not really that important. Elko and crew are evaluating. Thoroughly. See Brauny for more copium.
When you’re five star qb recruit is from socal, grew up a fan of usc and is number two on their list…seems like you should have already done the evaluating and have identified a backup or two. But copium is gonna copium

i'm absolutely not going to read it and find out, but i assume the 1,600 page thread on the football board regarding a&m is mainly trading new york times receipes?
That’s 1600 pages of us pointing and laughing at y’all not bitching and moaning about made up slights.

I recently watched a recruiting review of Texas from 247 ( I think it was them) and the had the same sentiment as you do regarding the OL. They were mystified by what Texas was doing there. They really like the rest of the class though.
It makes sense that a recruiting service would be mystified at our OL class. If they weren’t, it would be admitting they don’t know jack about jack when it comes to OL evaluations.

What’s so aggy about them is none of this shit matters. You don’t see our guys railing against aggy and their schedule, falling back on some nth level stats to prove that Texas is the better team or worrying about what the media thinks about them.
That’s because we know that both teams control their own destiny. Settle it on the field; everything else is noise. But those yokels have little brother in their dna and can’t stop worrying that Texas is Texas and they’ll always be aggy.

For shits and giggles I added Fasusi, Hilson, Terry, and Littleton using the 247 Class Calculator. Those four bring us to 314.03, which puts us ahead of Alabama for the top class by 10.80 points. Last year Georgia was number 1 with 317.19, and in 2023 Alabama was number one with 328.

levitation next year will be sep 25-28. other than the consistently great lineup, the cool weather and halloween vibes were the best things they had going. maybe there's a great reason but i don't understand the move.
I’ve gotta think that’s to accommodate a headliner(s) whose tour coincides with those dates.
iirc, they only moved it to Halloween weekend because that’s when kikagaku moyo was available. Although I miss it being an actual festival at Carson Creek Ranch, I’m glad they’ve been able to pivot to a format that lowers their overhead and supports music venues around town.

one final four appearance in our lifetime and that took a generational player, what exactly are your expectations year to year for ut basketball ?
sweet 16 seems a little high, year to year
Fuck that shit. Our program doesn’t need to be defined by an underperforming past. With the right coach, we can be in the top tier of programs in the country.

I think this what the SEC wanted, new teams in the championship game. The formula they used handed aggy an extremely easy schedule this year and next. It what it is. We both benefited.
This is some texags-esque bullshit conspiracy thinking right here.
