  1. Can someone catch me up on the various types of mountain bikes?  I rode a ton in the 90s but bikes have come a long way since then.  I live in Austin and would mainly ride the Greenbelt, south trails, slaughter creek trail etc.

There's two water connections and a plug.

Disconnect all and take off.  Hard twist should do it.  Once removed take out spoon and beat whatever child that got it stuck and reinstall.  10 minutes tops.

If you can't get spoon out go to home depot and buy midrange replacement.

But wait til tomorrow.  Depot closing soon.

Buy a badger but buy it at Ferguson instead Home Depot or any other big box. The big box versions are cheaper since they're made with cheaper parts and won’t last as long.

    facts.

Make yourself look BIG and dangerous. If a cat attacks, fight like hell. A mountain lion will not risk injury.

With a bear, play dead if attacked. (if attacked by a bear in your tent, then you fight like hell).

The thing about mountain lions is you usually do not see them. Which can be creepy - especially if alone.

It’s recommended to play dead with brown bears but fight like hell and DO NOT play dead with black bears.

of course those two things went hand in hand; you recruit mentally weak players who can't handle being yelled at and you're going to stop winning. not absolving him of any blame- they're his players, and it's his program- just saying that Texas didn't stop winning because Barnes forgot how to coach.

What I am saying is he became a bigger asshole when he stopped winning. When the losing started he said he needed to ‘coach the players harder’ what that looked like was him being an even bigger asshole.

Rick's problem was never recruiting talent at the end of his tenure, it was that he stopped winning and become an even bigger asshole as his teams got worse.

    FIFY

He could get away with being a total fucking asshole when he was winning, not so much when he stopped winning.

Ricky answered the question well. And it is always possible that Coburn acted on his own. But if coaches are pushing it and Regis and Turner are our top 2 then we are either looking for a third spot or the coaches aren't totally confident in Regis and Turner or we are keeping some players warm. From my perspective, I would shoot for some combination of Regis, Turner and Ikechukwu and if only 1 commits then defer to 2022. Maybe the coaches like Murphy better than Ikechukwu  or maybe like Ricky says we are shooting for 3. Just curious. Nothing more.

Or we’re dealing with a bunch of unknowns and it’s best to have as many irons in the fire as you can.

I never would have thought of that.

    Edit: That's Burton's quote.

Make fun of the man all you want, but according to Looch, early season injuries allow the back ups to get quality reps and practice time and actually increase depth.  (I'm actually being sarcastic and admire the man for getting paid to write such drivel.)

  8. Onnit has a great series of 6 week at home work out programs: kettlebell, mace, bodyweight and durability.  I've done the first three and can't recommend them highly enough. 15-20 minute warmup, 20ish minute high intensity workout and a 15 minute cool down.  Unless you're a manlet, I'd recommend a 35lb/16k kettlebell

Contrary to what the resident couch burner thinks, bodyweight exercises are legit.  They're obviously not going to build muscle like free weights, but for engaging your muscles and developing motor control across multiple planes, they can't be beat.
