  1. Like I said, he's just an okay QB. A cog. We all subconsciously new this day was coming. Arch shoulda been getting solid reps since mid season and probably should replaced Ewers before the Georgia, or at least the Clemson Game. We came close tonight. With a better QB we likely would have won.
  2. I'm adding a FB and putting the QB under center on short yardage.
  3. 7 second half points. I'm noticing a pattern here
  4. Shitty play calling from the one. Take back that 7yd pitchout and have Manning run a bootleg right. TD for sure. Sark will not call Ewer's number. Ewers was a cog in a machine.. He was never really a take command of the ballgame type of QB. And he got us where he got us last year. Always the bridesmaid syndrome.
  5. We had the go=ahead drive going which then fell flat on its face. Couple of bad play calls and then that overthrow to Bolden. We gotta get past that shit
  6. A TD drive here and I think we win this sucker. Just a feeling
  7. That ought to put a little extra adrenaline into the D Line. Sack the fuck out of the QB!
  8. Mr. Blue! Ewers gets it done. Gets rid of that ball! Holy fuck!!
  9. Ewers isn't capable of moving around and waiting for someone to get open
  10. Blue looks like a difference-maker. Also, the throw that Wingo dropped was a little behind him
  11. Bottom line so far: we shit away too many possessions with a QB who can't or won't move. Ewers scrambling instincts are pretty weak. He hung Helm out to dry on that high pass. On the pass down the left sideline where the jersey was clearly grabbed - had the pass been anywhere near catchable, they probably would have called a foul. We've known all year that Manning's ability to scramble was probably gonna be needed to get us to the championship game, but we're probably gonna have to run with what brung us. The good news is we ain't out of it, but one scoring drive out of what? 6 or 7 possessions doesn't bode well. Something has to change and I have no fucking clue as to what that might be... unless we figured something out on our only scoring drive and we can unleash that in the second half. Hope springs eternal
  12. As I recall, Street threw wobbily passes (as did Staubach). Pretty sure the one to Big Play Peschel was no exception. Street didn't pass all that much and Peschel didn't catch all that many passes. Seems it was fourth down and a handful of yards and nobody expected what amounted to a bomb. Everybody's heart stopped when Street let fly. With two D-backs draped all over him, RP made the catch.
  13. I've never had any luck on Youtube and ASU was no exception.
  14. I think that OSU will look to mirror what ASU did against us defensively, holding us to what? 16pts in regulation? and they'll try to improve on the ASU defensive weaknesses. The one hole they'll leave us will be the long ball, because they'll risk that Quinn will continue to underthrow those receivers. If they'll have a weakness, that's it. Quinn has to make those throws to get them out of their gameplan. I'd like to see us control the ball, I just don't think the running game is up to it. On the other hand, two or three early long passing TDs will force them to adjust and hopefully Sark will make them pay with some sustained drives. If Ewers can't make those throws, our D is in for another epic struggle, and it'll take more than 16 pts to win it. Would be nice if the D forces a couple of turnovers. Might be worth the gamble to up the pressure on their QB. We have a good secondary who can make some big plays on underthrown passes..
