  1. Does life get any better? https://img-9gag-fun.9cache.com/photo/arnDKqp_460svav1.mp4
  2. Does this story sound familiar to anyone? A long time back, say about the Dave Campo era, Jones interviewed Pete Carroll. Carroll says let's do this, I'm ready to sign - then Jones makes him an offer that would have made him the lowest paid coach in the NFL... Needless to say, Carroll told Jones to pound sand. It brings up another question: When Jerry hired McBarnyard, what other head coaches got hired that year? Anyone notable that Jones should have taken the time to interview. As I recall, Jones rushed out and hired this shithead without talking to anybody else.
  3. They blew it. Should have let him score a TD once he got that first down
  4. If a receiver can run 40 yrds in 5 seconds, you can hit him at the goal line with 9 seconds left. In theory, they'd stop the clock within a second of an incompletion. My scenario is a lot less flawed than Barney McBarnyard's. I don't think there's another coach in the pros stupid enough to try that play - and apparently, Choke ran the play they all agreed on. Huh? Earlier in the game, one of those referees fucked us on another snap count, so you sure don't want to trust them to get it right. Which brings me to a bigger point, The NFL with its 40-second clock and not stopping the clock after a first down or after a long pass play late in the game, is an inferior product that is only appreciated by fans too young to know how infinitely more exciting it was before the rule changes. You may think it's exciting now, but all I can say is it was a hell of a lot better before. I mean, how many minutes would it add to the length of a game to do it right? Five? The five at the end, when the game has reached a fever pitch. Another thing I see the refs do is failure to give a runner credit when he drags one or two tacklers out of bounds to stop the clock (what an exciting play that is, yet those bastard refs will keep the clock running, so there's no time to stop and appreciate an amazing effort.) Sometimes he his dragging them back downfield slightly, but as far as I'm concerned his fucking forward motion is wherever the hell he wants it to be. When it was a thirty second clock (or 25, I forget which) the kind of last ditch effort we saw yesterday was commonplace, because one team could not kill an entire 2 minute period. In every close game, the losing team always had a desperation 4th down play where everything was on the line, and the ball was turned over, but if they'd saved their time outs, they would get one last shot, just like we saw yesterday, with 20 or thirty seconds on the clock -- commonplace in the 70s. Basically the league is run by brain dead morons who don't give a fuck about the game, just the money - perhaps like Jerry Jones. Compare the NFL's amateurish game management to pro baseball playoffs, when fans might be on the edge of their seat for fifteen, twenty, sometimes thirty minutes without a single commercial. the NFL is a subpar product. If fans got together, they could demand more.
  5. Look at the alignment. There would have been zero rush, especially if Choke is going to release the ball 5-6 seconds after taking the snap. So he steps back and tries to thread the needle at the receiver who looks like they'll be open. No fucking ally oop pass. from 40 yards out, we have 4 receivers streaking toward the end zone. At least one gets held. Another is interfered with. You do that 3 fucking times and you have a shot. The fact that McBarnyard and Moore envisioned something better (especially something in the middle of the field) is proof they didn't know what the fuck they were doing. Get these losers the fuck off this team.
  6. If Quinn gets offered a good HC job, he's outta here. I sure wouldn't stick around waiting to see if my boss (McCarthy) was going to be fired. Maybe he ought to be McBarnyard's replacement? They did shut down the Niners in the second half. "Just one year after inheriting Mike Nolan’s awful defense, Quinn has the Cowboys in or near the top 10 in most important defensive categories. One team that has been hot on Quinn’s trail lately is the Denver Broncos, who could look to add a coach with experience and a history of success in order to compete in a very tough division. 7. They had an ENTIRE.... FUCKING.... SEASON... to correct the problem. 14 penalties tells you all you need to know about this coach. We knew all along Rodgers was right about him. Look at the motherfucker. He's a fat undisciplined slob. Get him the fuck out of here. At least Jones is sounding like firing the bastard. Said the team never should have been in a position to lose like that. Once again, we see a fucking coach make an end of the game call that goes against all reason. You do not get caught in bounds when you're out of time outs. Period. No discussion. This sorry jackass apparently didn't know that, and his secret plan was to get ONE fucking shot from the 25. This secret fucking plan, which apparently they worked on a lot, was so fucking brilliant that they would risk running the clock down to one second to get a shot. With fourteen seconds, you can run three motherfucking six-second plays. Not good enough. we need one super duper play that our genius teenage prodigy OC or our barnyard zen-master coach designed while taking a shit.
  8. McBarnyard obvioulsly doesn't understand the significance of having so many penalties - and can't coach these stupid motherfuckers out of committing so many.
  9. Choke looked like a rookie QB out there. Deer in the headlights. He doesn't have a feel for what's going on in the game, and based on that last play, I've gotta think he's just a little bit fucking stupid. Although it sounds like McCarthy was married to taking one shot from the thirty vs two or three from the forty, so he's part of the problem.
  10. Switzer didn't win that Superbowl. It was Jimmy's and Troy's team that won it.
  11. There was like 17 seconds left. At 8 seconds a play, you got 3 tries for a bullet into the end zone. Such a play shouldn't take more than 7 seconds.
  12. Who the fuck made that play call. We had three shots at the end zone. First fucking rule. Don't get tackled inbounds
