  1. Those are some nice stats. 350 passing. 200 rushing. Excellent per touch numbers for most of our offense. There's no doubt we weren't hitting on all cylinders, so if Sark gets these guys on the same page... look out. I give Ewers a B-. His performance wasn't near good enuf to run the tables.
  2. A lot of the runs for Gibson were straight up. Nothing fancy. No deception whatsoever. You throw in some deception and give him an extras step and he could be kicking some serious ass - maybe as soon as next week.
  3. Gibson comes right back with a nice run
  4. Didn't Arch tuck the ball, dodge a tackler, then pulled it back out to make the completion. How often do you see that? He's a natural
  5. When true freshman Earl Campbell came in, he was running behind Rosy Leaks who was a great running back, but slightly hobbled as I recall. It didn't take long for Campbell to establish himself as the starter. He was THE fucking stud. Maybe Gibson will rise up. Looks pretty good in traffic
  6. Sark gonna need that running game to open up the passing game when we hit the tough teams. I'm at least glad he's getting the ball to the backs. Blue and Wisener are legit threats.
  7. Sark tries to fine tune the offense - without revealing too much of his future plans to our upcoming opponents in the final battle for the SEC Crown. First get that run game going. Reintroduce play action passing to Ewers. Score a few TDs including one by the D. Kick a few FGs and sit on the lead in the fourth. Final - UT 38 Florida 24. Is there such a thing as Steampunk Football? Fuckin' A (I).
  8. He coulda said, "We'll fuck and suck." Maybe they were making plans for after the game. Or just an old fashioned proposition. Like when you meet a woman at a bar and she wants a guarantee that your not going to your place just to brew some coffee.
  9. Why do I get the feeling Jerrah is impotent. Signing Dak for a premium was to show the world how big his balls were, when in reality, if he truly had big balls, he woulda told Dak's agent to take a hike and start rebuilding. Maybe get a guru like Jonah Hill in here for some advice. He could have started a thread on Surly under a gay name asking for advice on running the team - and curing impotence. Hindsight is 20/20.
  10. There is one bright spot. Maybe this team will suck so bad that it will literally drive Jerry into his grave. At this point, here's hopin'!
  11. The only reason Dak did anything today was because he finally began running the ball. Guess the fuck what... He's fucking injury prone... as in Injury Prone. So put in a fucking running QB and let him run, then occasionally, throw a few. i.e. Trey Lance. Come on McCarthy. Show us he's not capable. On the field in a big game situation. McCarthy to Jerry: Fuck you. No Trey Lance for You
  12. Dak's gotta get up in the air and make that throw - not some half hearted pass to the receivers feet
  13. Dufus defender. That was a lateral, would have been ruled a fumble on review had the shithead had the presence to grab the ball and run with it
  14. Hey, thousands of innocent people would die... OTOH....
  15. Maybe we'll see a few paper bags covering heads in the crowd today, although I guess you'd need the network to show it. In any case, looking forward to another near comeback loss.
  16. Speaking of the devil
  17. Tough shit psu. your QB coulda walked into the end zone on first and second down. FU
  18. Sorry for the delay. Didn't hear anything for a few weeks and the thread dropped off my radar. In no particular order. Talk about a detailed answer. Thanks. Would like to get these turned around. Planted a couple of Red Oaks in Lost Creek back in the day and all I ever did to them was cut off lower branches - and they grew like crazy. Looked pretty good IIRC. I want to say in ten years they grew to maybe 30' high. Suspect having good soil helps. Might be a bit of the problem here 70mi west. That stump just broke off in my hand. Def will angle cut it. Thought I'd get it all done at one at once. Did the base of one last weekend. Probably could have been a little larger. At least exposed a little root flare. Used some kind of porous black paper screen covered with Cedar Mulch to fill. Pulled out a bunch of grass. poisoned the rest. Hope the Round Up wasn't a mistake. Definitely will make a larger "bed" around Tree number two (multi-branch). Clean up instructions pretty straightforward. And, just to be clear, the concensus now is trim the small one now, don't wait, mainly due to all the cross growth? Should I wait on the taller tree? FWIW, I did not know that the grass roots were bad for the tree roots. So they don't die if they can't get any sunlight? Thanks for all the advice! Go Horns!
