  1. Finally, some recognition: Poll: Eagles, Cowboys Voted ‘Rudest’ NFL Fans, Sean Payton ‘Rudest’ Coach Eagles, Cowboys Voted 'Rudest' NFL Fans, Sean Payton 'Rudest' Coach (breitbart.com)
  2. Don't worry, he'll be playing against UTSA or whoever, next week. It's pretty much the same thing. My scenario had him (and a boatload of other 2nd and 3rd stringers) kicking ass in the fourth quarter, gaining absolutely invaluable experience as we head toward a championship run beginning mid-season. But let's face it, that's not a valid opinion. Not enough sunshine.
  3. Would have preferred to leave Michigan with a spanking they'd be moaning about ten years from now. When true freshman Garrett Gilbert walked on the field in our 2009 National Championship against Alabama, he brought with him something like 15 of 22 completions in his previous 9 appearances that year. Heck, that's almost 2.5 passes per game (okay, most likely against crappy opponents). Shoulda been ready. Against Alabama, he went 15 of 40. Even with that, seems like we were still in that game up until the waning moments. (FWIW, after college, he spent 7 yrs in the NFL.)
  4. Great call, Cleveland. Refs can't help you now
  5. Looks like the refs have stepped up their efforts to keep the game close (for the benefit of the viewers, of course).
  6. Anyone here who thinks Sark didn't take his foot off the gas in the Second half? I'm debating whether it was because he didn't want to tear a rookie head coach a new asshole in front of the nation, or was it because he didn't want to share any more of our playbook. I think a better option would have been to go balls to the wall and have us up say 55-10 one drive into the fourth quarter, let every schoolboy in the nation get a look at America's next dynasty (in fucking Austin fucking Texas, not some backwoods dirtwater town) , and let Arch play almost the entire fourth quarter. Final score UT 65, National Champions 13.
  7. In Ewers last possession or two he didn't do much, but I think he threw one or two passes. There might have been six or seven minutes left. Game fucking out of reach to Michigan, and it would have been awesome to see Arch complete a pass or two, maybe get a first down or two, run five or six minutes off the clock and end the drive with a TD. Coulda easily happened. Talk about excitement. Talk about a confidence builder. And don't think for a minute that because Arch's folks like Austin or belong to some fucking country club, etc, that they didn't care if their all-star son, that every college in the country wanted, a kid who had a stellar high school career, only got to hand the ball off three times into the line. They have the highest expectations in the world for their kid. As do we all. We know what he's capable of. I'd like to hear Sark's reasons.
  8. Yeah. If only that had been a 65-yard run...-)
  9. The OU game will be awesome. I don't think we've seen a Texas D this good in a while. If they could plug up OU, we could blow those motherfuckers out of the stadium. Can Mich be that bad after its natty?
  10. Maybe the Longhorn Channel needs to move to Chaterbate
  11. Did you have to pull the sheets out of your ass?
  12. I think that's what Oklahoma told Troy Aikman...
  13. Fuck off. Our second string QB needs quality snaps. There may have been years when your starting QB gets injured and you just shrug and say "well, it's not like we were going to win the National Championship this year anyway." THose fucking days are gone. If, God fobid, something happens to Ewers, I want a backup ready to win it all. And we can have that by mid-season if Manning gets some quality snaps. It's a new era and there's no reason not to get him those snaps every single fucking chance you get. For all we know, some Sooner fuck is gonna lay a late hit on Quinn early in the game (remember Bama). I want to see a primed and ready Manning come on that field. You stupid motherfucker. I love the way we won today, but my one criticism is totally fucking valid.
  14. I hope you're right. I'll add one other thing. How do you think Arch's family, his uncles... whatever... felt when with five minutes left and an absolute insurmountable lead, Quinn comes back on the field? At best, they'll think that Sark isn't even thinking about getting their kid playing time. It's just not cool. If he plays half the game next week, all will be forgotten. We'll see. Sounds a bit optimistic. Wouldn't be surprised to see a little blowback on this next week.
  15. You're afraid of a QB controversy? That's not gonna happen. As far as Sark goes, I'd like to hear his reasoning. Quinn needs more reps for next week? Not really buying that.

  17. So much the better. Less risk for Manning, more confidence building. That game was over at the end of the third. Quinn had a qreat three quarters. Don't leave him out there to finish that triumph with some quagmire play calling. We want our backups to get quality time, dammit. Now. They may be starting in two weeks.
  18. No, it's more like Picasso forgot to sign the one he left me in his will. I wanted to see Arch make some plays. He's fucking awesome. Get him in there early and often this year. Next year he has to be ready on day one to lead us to a Nat'l Championship. He might need to be ready this year. Get him some playing time in the big games when a hundred thousand people are screaming.
  19. Fuck no, I'm not joking. Manning had a chance for some quality snaps on a National Stage against the Nat'l Champs and Sark forgot about him... for what, so Ewers could get a couple of extra snaps? Ewers could risk getting a late hit by some pissed off linebacker? or as someone suggested Quinn could fully enjoy his great win? Bullshit. Manning could be a giant part of this team, this season, and he needs to be treated like it. Not as an 3-play afterthought handoff jockey when we're up by 30 pts. We scored 7 points in the second half, btw
  20. Great win. No turnovers. Dominating Defense. Offense moved at will, except when the will wasn't there.
  21. If I was Arch, I'd take not being put in until complete trash time as a bit of a slap in the face. No fucking reason whatsoever to not give him a few quality plays at the five minute mark. Sark sort of told him to go get fucked. He'll suck it up, but he won't forget about it anytime soon.
  22. Damn nice work in the secondary today. D gets another A. Offense A- or B+
  23. Pussy motherfucker squishy wishy announcer. Fuck it was a fumble. Go analyze your ass
  24. Ewers should not be in there
