  9. Figured there was a chance he'd miss it at 45yds, but after that run... What a bunch of fuckheads
  10. I'll take that deal over Dak any day. Evers is smart. Fucking Dak.... He's also accurate, just like a young Troy Aikman. Aikman fucking rocked almost immediately (yeah, I know. That first year was more like rocky... but there was never any doubt that he was gonna be great.). Imagine old Jer' shuffling off to Buffalo about the same time. New, non-barnyard coach? Get some excitement back into the mix. The team probably needs to take a bath this year. Get some very high draft pics. Another good reason for dumping Dak. The sooner he's a bad memory, the better.
  11. Longhorns, 45-14
  12. It's hard to believe a QB who has never been a starter in the NFL can't simply come in and immediately give an all-star performance. Obviously Lance needs to go. But suppose over the season, a thousand reps helps him improve by 50%. Next year he only throws 2 pics per game, or maybe one? Next year he improves his ability to tuck and run, maybe makes one or two fifty yarders per game? He's fast, right? How's he gonna look behind a team that adds an extra fifty million or so to their cap? Maybe a couple of unstoppable young pass rushers? Two or so premier offensive linemen (who will pull up those around them)? Fuck Dak. He's injury prone. He peaked a couple of years ago.
  13. So much the better. Deliver a little Texas hospitality to those Alabamans
  14. Ran into a '63 grad last weekend. A few fond memories. 1963: Roger Staubach brings in his #2 Navy squad to face #1 Texas on New Years Day in the Cotton Bowl. National Championship on the line. Duke Fucking Carlisle at QB and we kicked their asses. Something like 28-6 as I recall. Carlisle led the team in rushing with 54 yards! Tommy Nobis only sophmore starter. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=texas+vs+navy+1964+cotton+bowl+ Joe Namath bring Alabama to the Cotton Bowl. Late in the game they're at our one yard line - a score and they win - and a Namath keeper falls short. Friend had it on good authority that the ref told Namath that he was "Two Inches Short." We saw some great football in those days. UT was perenially in the Top Five. 1969 Cotton Bowl: Joe Theisman and Notre Dame lose to Texas for Nat'l Championship. I think Street was our QB. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=texas+vs+notre+dame+1970+cotton+bowl Theisman returns next year. UT 32 game win streak on the line, and even with nine fumbles, Eddie Phillips gets us to the ND ten yardline in the final drive, but we lose, dammit. Phillips first home challenge earlier that year against UCLA. 22 game win streak on the line... Fifty yard TD pass with 12 seconds left.
  15. So Barnyard Mike and Hillbilly Fart Parade at odds (good riddance): From Athlon Sports/MSN Serious Internal Tension Reportedly Brewing Within Cowboys Organization
  16. Mother fucker. Geez. Well the game would be over if it wasn't for those two Motherfucking Errors.
  17. Nice play at first
  18. There's something awkward about that SS's throwing motion. It looks a little too sidearm for accuracy
  19. 247Sports updated preseason rankings. Georgia, Ohio State swap places. 20. Breaking news: Fat Mike announces eminent release of his new "Barnstorm Offense" which will feature schemes so sophisticated and unstoppable that it won't require good players to implement. He developed the offense back when he was unemployed and evaluating trends, but has waited to "unleash" it until the time was right. "Who wants to watch a bunch of primadonas anyhow," he was quoted as saying... by someone... "It's more fun to watch a bunch of average players led by average players pulling together as a hard-working team... Kinda like a team of oxen or horses..." Also, "Put on your workboots. Next season gonna be a real hoe-down."
  21. MSN headline: Cowboys draft nightmare comes true. Panthers select Brooks
