No I meant Gabriel leaving to make way for Arnold. But Ohio State regards thinks that because Quinn is likely staying, Arch will transfer there.
Arch is now a little too old for Ryan Day. He prefers coaxing high school juniors to reclassify and come in a year early.

I thought he was at Texas state
Eh maybe. I thought he was redshirting this year, but maybe that was last year.

Does this mean Derrick Brown is in the portal?

Ah the ole hire your positional coaches before the coordinator strategy. Seems like he's a worse Robinson as a good recruiter/bad coach.
If Elko is going to be the defacto DC, then it's probably fine to hire defensive position coaches first.

Great coach, happy for him and wish him the best. That's the second coach that's gotten a promotion under Sark at Texas.
Linebackers improved a ton and have a great batch of guys waiting in the wings
Hopefully no one else this year.
For those in the know, anyone in particular to target?
Does Sark get credit for Stan Drayton?

Can someone make a plausable argument as to how the fuck we get in over an SEC champion and/or undefeated ACC champion? I’ll hang up and listen but Jesus this committee won’t do us any favors

Love how they talk about the down B12 (BDF), not realizing that the top 4-5 team would’ve boat raced them this year. Just like always, they would have finished middle of the pack!
I hope whoever plays them in the Texas Bowl (KU or KSU ?) beats them by 20+!
Hook’em!!!Yeah, but it will be with an interim coach and Weigman injured, so it really won't count.

The portal doesn't officially open until Monday (except for grad transfers or teams that lost their coach). So a majority that will eventually enter it are still on the sidelines.

I don’t think I want the kid from MarfaBe careful. @Helobious has been watching that 5'7" 140lb LB from Marfa since he was in 6th grade, and is sure he's going to be a difference maker for a Power5 team, and Sark better not miss out on him.

I would love to match up with Michigan this year.
100% chance Michigan and Washington will be ranked 2/3 and play in the Rose Bowl.
We could match up with them in the National Championship.

I hope Sark takes the trophy and tells Yormark to get off the fucking stage and then throws that dumb belt into the trash.
So you're a big Tom Herman fan, huh?

This is the first time all year I've heard Blackwell's name twice in the same game.

If Robinson finally moves on, they'll have 7 IOL counting incoming freshmen on their roster. The Ogunbiyi guy, who I thought was being investigated as a serial rapist (not trying to be funny, I thought that was a thing), used to play a lot, but he had only 15 snaps this year. Maybe he was hurt? Robinson didn't play against LSU and I can't remember if he was injured or not as well.
On the tackle side, Fatheree took 13 snaps all year. I assume he intentionally redshirted at some point before this season due to the RS label above, so it was a wasted year. Zuhn took more snaps than any OL on the team followed by Foster. Crownover and Bisontits split time at the other tackle spot. Neither were worth a fuck. Bisontits was horribad but somehow Charles Power at On3 awarded him freshman All American honors. Wow.
They are comically thin across the OL, and they are comically bad across the OL. The guys coming in are good, bad and ugly. The IOL from the state of Washington is good. It's stunning to me that they're going to hang on to him. How bad of a recruiter is Deboer? Jesus. Blake Ivy has a high rating but there are multiple people now expressing concern about the long term health of his shoulder at a position where leverage is kind of key. The Echols guy has an inflated rating associated to his high school and ATM taking him. Outside of a desperate Auburn and a hapless Tech, no one else better than UAPB put in any effort to land the guy unless various schools carpetbombing the state of Texas with noncommittable offers last spring is your jam.
Unfortunately, as Texas fans, we all know how fucked up and challenging rebuilding a roster's OL to just the level of peer competence can be. They're going to need to make a good OL coach hire, and then he's going to need to land true difference makers quickly, add quality depth on top of that, and then endure several lean years while getting everything right. Fuck up the hire and you're toast. Fail to evaluate well, toast. The portal is a bloodbath for landing good to great OLs, so that's not really an option.
It's going to continue to be fun to witness.
This was the report on Ogunbiyi. No clue what ended up happening there:
