  1. Great weekend in Fredericksburg.  Lonestar Cabins was great even though we didn't use the kitchen.  It was nice on the back porch in the mornings looking at some Barron Creek grapes and wildlife. Had an armadillo come and visit this morning too.  Ate at Altstadt and Auslander for German fare, but NoName can be trusted with his recommendations...Woerner Cafe, Alla Campagna, and Prometheus were all excellent. A lonestar red in Luckenbach capped it all off nicely.

Yeah, I ended up keeping my seats in 108 as well. It is crazy to me that all these germania club seats are sold and it’s the same 20% of people I see at every game with most seats being empty all season.

It's not just Germania club, but the whole arena.  In 123, there's several regular groups around us and the rest of the time is always somebody different or empty.  I was able to move up 2 rows just now and keep my aisle seats which was a surprise.

  3. Never really hung out here other than a meal during a day trip to Enchanted Rock. Wife and I are going to do a long weekend at the end of this month. Staying at the cabins @Trey3216 recommended by Altstadt. I'll be reading all the recs from @NoName a few times and try to pick out 4 or 5!

Early 90s IIRC. Open bar, floor and concourses with tables piled with peeled chilled shrimp, gobs of other foods and deserts throughout. I want to say Richard Marx as musical guest. The glory days of AMD and Jerry Sanders spending beaucoup bucks.

I think it was some random AMD celebration and not a Christmas party but I went with a friend to Lyle Lovett concert at FEC in the 90s.

I'm only seeing the single game options on this page now(available Thursday at 10am), does that mean the all-session ones are sold out?

I see all-session tickets. There's 2 left in L5 and the rest are in L7

I actually thought my pool water was too cold today emoji2371.png It’s officially blast furnace hot when pool water feels like bath water.

Mine’s at 85 now. I’m good to 89ish and then it’s bath water. Got a few weeks

I bit hard to tell and the colors are a little muted, but I'm going with Eastern yellow-bellied racer.

It did have a yellow belly and raced away pretty quickly so this checks out.

  8. I’ve learned a lot about sneks from this thread but still suck at ID. What is this guy that was waiting for me at the back door.

Last year I discovered a great product for fighting algae -  PoolRx.  I've struggled for years to keep algae under control.  Last year I tried PoolRx and it kept my pool algae free with no effort.  I wish I had discovered it a long time ago.  Just chunk it in your skimmer basket at the beginning of summer and forget about it.  It's a copper based mineral puck that costs about $60 on Amazon.  Good for the entire summer season.

Beware of the copper adding up over time and causing other issues.  I have a salt cell chlorinator so pretty easy for me to combat algae with chlorine and only chlorine (never had any in 4.5 yrs).

Smoking my first pork tenderloin.  It’s a small one, as it’s just me and the wife.  Don’t want to overcook and dry out, but want it plenty cooked.  Thinking 3 hours at 225?

That’s probably way too long. Pull it at 140F.

Just got done texting the guys that sit around me. Mine and another's emails regarding ticket requests both got sent to our spam folders (no idea why) on the 28th. Another guy sitting by me hasn't even received the email but when I told him to look into his UT ticket account, the message was there.

Sounds like system may be F'd up. That, or they saw us taunting the farmer bubble dorks on the way out of the Disch on Sunday. 🤣🤘

Yeah, no mail in any folder but the form is in my account.  Looks like season ticket seats only.

40 Days and 40 Nights by Lazarus Brewing. West coast IPA. 7.5% abv. I’ve never had it before, but they have it on tap tonight at the Disch so I gave it a shot. Very nice. Would order again

Had a couple of these last night too. Usually get a Jellyfish but this is a good alternative. Great night...beer at the Disch is some of the best beer.

They changed the shape of the bat to shift it's center of mass towards the handle.  Still the same weight and length, but you can swing it faster.

No they are swinging it the same speed but with a concentrated mass. It's a smaller sweet spot of more mass.

With so many of us left, it’s getting to be tough choosing the highest confident pick vs mapping out a route to the final…I’m probably screwing the pooch today with my strategy.

This is the day it ended last year (I remember being drunk at a good Catholic Good Friday celebration).  Mostly chalk bracket will get this. Strategies will be tested...
