  1. Played Crystal in a scramble June 30 and the greens were mediocre/bumpy, but the rest was good/fine?
  2. Sen. Mike Crapo from Idaho introduced it. As to why, some combo of religious nanny state horseshit mixed with being able to falsely say this will bring in another $100m a year in tax revenue.
  3. My last 4 rounds include an 81, an 84, and a 104. From 1996-2020, I broke 85 twice total. Did it once each in 2021, 22, 23, and 24. Have done it 5 times in 2025, and also have an 85 and two 86s. Golf.
  4. Summary is wrong. So basically you can deduct whichever is smaller, your winning sessions or 90% of your losing sessions.
  5. WPT Club Gold isn’t a subsidiary of WSOP I don’t THINK that’s right, but I couldn’t testify to that.
  6. The new senate bill added a provision that completely turbofucks gamblers. Can only claim losses up to 90% of the loss amount, while still having to pay on all winning sessions. Garbage law by garbage humans, surprise surprise.
  7. I really liked Blackhawk back in the early 2000s. They messed a couple holes up when they put more houses in but it was still good. Then at some point it just became a shithole. It’s a shame.
  8. 100% they had a deal. But that happens allllll the time. Don’t think anything should happen to the payouts. But if WPT Club Gold wanted to object, decent case.
  9. I would love to be playing Kizer this weekend, water drained or not, but couldn’t line up at 6a to get a Sat morning time so driving an hour to Kingsland to play Lighthouse instead. I love the vibes at Lions and often find myself enjoying it and then have 17 shots in a row off of softpan or rockdirt or what have you, and being a yard off and bouncing 25 yards down hardpan mountain.
  10. Kinda disagree? Lions tilts me because I get a relentless barrage of bullshit bounces and lies. Clay is solid with a couple really asinine holes. Kizer and MoWilly are great. Of course virtually impossible to play any of these on a weekend morning. Most other courses in Austin are either abhorrent conditions or egregiously expensive. I live two miles from Avery but they want more on the weekend than I paid to pay fucking Bandon Dunes. I usually end up driving an hour or so to get reasonable conditions and pricing. Oklahoma City has way more and better cheap good golf options. San Antonio is way better. These shouldn’t be the case.
  11. Getting checkraised there is a disaster spot, he’s only getting one street of value from hands he beats and can induce bluffs on the river.
  12. You aren’t actively shitting the food but the grease can grease the skids for pre-existing material, to my lay understanding
  13. Haha! Big Yip candidate, I have a history of some pretty crazy net rounds, very high variance player. My career best is 77 on a par 70, I was about a 21 at the time. Next round was a 108. I also have been +2 on the 11th tee and finished +21. 38-55. Was 6 up on my dad in our match on 11 tee, lost 1 down. I played two days after the 80, hit 7 GIR and still shot 101. Was +16 on 3 holes. At least this one got posted as a 94 instead.
  14. I really like it, other than the annoyance that there are two par 5s with forced layup off the tee. Was in great shape. Greens were just finishing recovering from being punched, rolling well and quick.
  15. Played Plum Creek again Saturday on 3 hours of sleep. Was +6 through 6, then hit 9 of the next 12 greens, including 8 pars and a birdie. Again got to 18 needing a birdie for 79. Sadly drove into the fairway bunker, but then hit a fantastic 5 iron to 20 feet for a very real look at the 79. Buddy's putt on similar line was really fast, and I left mine 8 inches short in the jar for another 80 and my second USGA Exceptional Score Adjustment in 3 months.
  16. I guess I had to log in to my PokerAtlas account. No reason to make it so difficult to get to this info.
  17. I mean, yes? When I go on their website and they have a tourney calendar and I click on a tourney in the calendar I should see the structure. On their site right now, literally zero tourneys on the June calendar. Not super helpful if I wanna plan. I then clicked the “view poker atlas” button. Once I found the June 1 tourney, click it. The structure is greyed out, can’t click it. Useless.
  18. Not to mention how it would compare to 25 years ago, but Black's on Guadalupe would be the best BBQ available in 99% of the cities in the United States right now today. The idea that it is "shit" because maybe 100 other places on earth do it better is incredibly stupid.
  19. Stiles Switch Cedar Park on 1431
  20. Hard to say I guess? Can't imagine they are struggling too badly. They did, hilariously and predictably, walk the $5 checkin back already. Told my wife the second I read it that there would be a meltdown and they would walk it back. So they just negatively impacted their perception and goodwill for no gain. What did they think was going to happen, people were going to say "oh cool, I get to stand in a different line and pay $5 every time I come in, sounds good"? How does that either not get filtered out by someone with a brain, or if they actually have to charge it to be viable, they just plow through the backlash.
  21. I do like some Tavern! And trust me, there was zero judgment in the post, I have probably spent $200 in a day many a time on food at the Texas Fair, and have had many fat ass BBQ trays snarfed down. Respect. It was more that I do like places like Louie, but I would be immersed in regret, darkness warshing over me darker than a steer's tuckus at midnight, in the post-nut clarity of what I could have done instead with over $100 vs "pretty good" cue.
  22. you spent over $100 on lunch for one person at Louie Mueller?
  23. hopefully TCH launches a good promo to take advantage of disgruntled Lodge people sure would be cool if TCH's website didn't suck and tourney structures were online. why is shit so FUCKING hard for everyone?
  24. $25 annual membership helps that some but yeah gross.
  25. I was going to say the same about Lewis, though I haven't had it since 2019.
