  1. Made a play when we needed it. Good work kid.
  2. Terrific dime to Golden in a have to have it situation.
  3. Another game, another atrocious third quarter. Sark needs to look in the fucking mirror on this one, as it's on his shoulders to fix.
  4. Why? Does me getting behind him change anything at all about how he's going to play? Positivity for positivity's sake is such a bad look. Just be direct about shit, good or bad.
  5. Outside of the first drive, the whole Offense has looked liked hammered shit. Quinn has played the same as he has all year long, though the pass he missed to a wide open Moore is not one that he typically misses. The performance only further validates that he's fine to good, but not the kind of player that elevates our offense. There were two over the top plays to be had in that half, and he made neither.
  6. I bought a GTS secondary and the guy offered me a CYPB for $400. That was an easy pass for me. But I mean, yeah. If others are willing to pay that much then it's a good play I suppose.

There is some connective tissue with Inquisition, but it's basically a whole new cast of characters that you play with. I honestly don't even remember the fighting system used in Inquisition because of how long ago I played it. I'm sure it's been modified at a bare minimum.
  8. Total meltdown.
  9. Our inability to put these guys away looks like it's going to come back to bite us.
  10. No meat pulled at 110 has risen to 128 while “resting”. Carry over cooking doesn’t work that way. And yeah, let people cook their shit however they want. There is no universally correct way to cook anything.

I've played through Veilguard twice now (to see what happens on the other side of major story decisions) and really enjoyed it. While it didn't quite break new ground, I thought it was very well done. Tons of side quests and really good character development across all of your companions. The combat gets repetitive after a certain point, but upping the difficulty on the 2nd play through definitely made things more interesting. It's for sure worth picking up for any RPG fan. You're looking at ~50 hours worth of story for each campaign.
  12. Except we had a team record 11 guys drafted last year. And we’ll have several more taken this year. Please stop acting like Quinn’s supporting cast isn’t a critical ingredient of the success we’ve had during his run as QB1. He’s benefited from a significant increase in our talent floor combined with a consistent coaching staff and offensive scheme. A guy like Ehlinger never had any of that. Quinn has plenty of skins on the wall, but he sure as shit didn’t hang them up all by himself.
  13. Except it’s actually not astonishing. Astonishing would be doing this somewhere like Tulsa or Tulane. What’s also astonishing is how badly we hired guys like Strong and Herman that were unable to build a winner with the level of resources available at Texas. I am not shitting on Sark, btw. He’s done very well and has gotten way more right than wrong. He’s also benefited from a sea change in the talent acquisition process (i.e., NIL + Transfer Portal) that has tilted the scales heavily in his favor. To his credit, he’s taken advantage of those changes far better than others (eg., Dabo). I have come to like Sark and I’m glad we have him. That said, Texas should be a very easy place to win at, even if others have inexplicably failed to do so.
  14. Why? There was zero smoke that he was breaking our way after his visit.
  15. Sounds like you already made a call here, but I will put in a plug for Flat Track coffee. Their single origin selection is always strong and they are very adept roasters.
  16. Weather conditions for this Everton match are fucking brutal.
  17. It’s a fair point and valid question. I don’t know the answer. As fans, we can only react to the outputs because we have zero visibility to the inputs. What is irrefutable is the 2nd half drop off in production. And there have been some seriously questionable play calls in high leverage situations that make me believe that another coach with serious play calling chops would do more good than bad.
  18. Maybe a 2nd voice in the headset to offer a different opinion sharpens the decision making? Crazy concept, I know.
  19. Again with the false narrative. It's a team sport, and the outcome of a game is rarely decided by the performance of a single player. It just so happens that QB is the most important position in the game, but it's not everything. It's entirely possible that Quinn could even play GREAT and we lose because our Defense falters, our ST lets us down, or the other team just plays even better. And if that happens, you can count on me to come own it and give Quinn his due. No different than I have multiple times in this same thread. Just like it's also possible he could continue to play fine and we could win out. I'd much prefer that scenario, for the record. You really want to hang me with the "Quinn hater" tag, but there is no evidence for that. I have been vocal that I think he is good, but generally not good enough to be a difference maker at the position. I think tonight was validation of just that.
  20. Oh it's only this long because of "that bullshit"? Not because there are a pack of zealots that rush in to defend every post that dares to be critical? That's rich.
  21. Do you think that I did that on accident? This thread doesn't need more wrought over analysis of individual plays at this point, so I am not going to contribute to that. You and I both know there were more than 1, which isn't even the point. Quinn is fine. He can occasionally reach good, but I am in no way confident that he'll reach that when we really need it. One of us will be proven wrong and one of us will be proven right. I'm fine waiting for that moment.
  22. I'm responding to a statement that I disagreed with. Sorry if that rankled you, Mr. extremely high level operator man. But hey, way to pluck one sentence out of a reply and make a huge fucking deal about it. You managed to completely avoid the macro point.
  23. Almost all of his usual issues were on display and all of those have been beaten to death on this thread already. There was some good and some bad. The good outweighed the bad. But there was more than one mistake, and that's just you being hyperbolic in an attempt to avoid having any sort of nuanced conversation on the topic. Likely because everyone here is pretty much done with re-hashing what he does well and what he doesn't.
  24. You're taking an output (slow 2nd halves) and then building a false narrative that Sark is intentionally managing the inputs such that he's getting the output he wants. I fucking promise you he's not. There is not an offensive minded coach on the planet that loves seeing his offense bog down and allow teams to get back in games in the 2nd half.
  25. Why? Because you say so and you have more internet points than me? I don't give two shits. Ewers played "fine", which has emerged as his ceiling. It was good enough today and it'll almost certainly be good enough against ASU. We will need more than "fine" to win the semi-final game, regardless of the opponent. Hopefully we get it, but he's struggled to exceed "fine" for much of the year after returning from injury.
