  1. Down nine. May want to turn it back on.
  2. Still blows my fucking mind that this staff went into the season with Onyema as our second big (especially with how often Shedrick is injured). Onyema is a mockery of a P4 post rotational player and borderline unplayable at times.
  3. Makes complete sense given there is almost no identifiable or consistent offense gameplan other than jack up random shots and play hero ball.
  4. I either want Texas to be firmly in the tournament, or miss entirely. I want there to be no ambiguity around RT’s job security. I agree with you, though. Getting run off their home court at a pivotal point in the season may start a slide they just can’t overcome as it relates to their tourney hopes. This is certainly more likely if Shedrick misses any extended time with this injury. Regardless, I don’t see RT losing his job after only his full second season if his makes the tournament. Nevertheless, I have no faith in his long-term viability at Texas.
  5. He’s not getting fired mid season.
  6. https://texags.com/forums/34/topics/3526052/1 So, let me rehash this for everyone here... This dude pleas down a bunch of charges (see above) to a 14-year sentence (for now what is attempted capital murder) after he (allegedly) strangled his ex-wife and threatened to kill her if she called the police (among other things) in front of their two-year-old son. Ex-wife now has a lifetime restraining order on him. Then, on the morning he is set to go to jail, he gets married at the courthouse at 7am to an attractive elementary school teacher with three kids of her own; ostensibly so they can have conjugal visits. https://www.facebook.com/DavidnAshleyHamilton Oh, and of course, they both maintain the ex-wife (victim) is the crazy one in this whole situation. WTF is wrong with these people?! Also, check out this troll job by someone in her engagement announcement...
  7. He suffered a fractured L clavicle (collarbone) on October 25. Unless there are atypical complications with the healing or rehab processes, it should take an otherwise healthy adult 12 weeks (at most) to fully recover and be cleared for contact sports. If he had surgery shortly after, we're at that 12-week point. However, Blake Munroe said this on 1/23: Schloss added this on 1/24: https://x.com/CJVogel_OTF/status/1882865557604880584 Sounds like he just wasn't ready to throw/hit yet, given he's left handed (throwing and batting). It's been almost two weeks since those updates. I'd wager he's there or close. There shouldn't be any reason he couldn't contribute as a pinch runner, relief pitcher/OF later in the season - especially midweek games. He certainly should be a full participant in fall camp for football.
  8. 3-of-5 with a long of 58 as a freshman last year at USF.
  9. I’m almost 34 - born in 91. My father had season tickets when I was in elementary school and I grew up in the Austin area. Amazingly, I saw Ricky break the record in person. I’ve been attending basketball and baseball games as long as I remember. 4th & 5 was when I was in ninth grade. 2009 was my freshman year at Texas. Obviously, it was downhill after that. I’m old enough, and have been a Texas fan long enough, I’ve seen an era of largely fantastic Texas Football, as well as an inversely shitty one. Regardless of my age, I’m happy to learn about the greater history of UT Sports from everyone here. Most of all, I’m happy Texas is a legitimate contender again. Anyways, everyone back to shitposting.
  10. Article here: Sources: Steve Sarkisian hiring Ohio State's LaAllan Clark to work with Longhorns' defensive ends Notes: Clark was the defensive ends coach at Southern in 2022 before joining Ohio State as a graduate assistant in 2023. has an excellent reputation as a recruiter, especially in Louisiana. As the CEO of LC Performance, Clark has trained current and former NFL defensive linemen, including Ed Oliver of the Buffalo Bills, Jeffrey Simmons of the Tennessee Titans and Danielle Hunter of the Houston Texans.
  11. Only one team from Texas, and it's Houston. Really weird to see.
  12. The good news is that neither are expected to be top-tier starters. One of them would probably be the fifth guy, right now, and that’s without Grubbs or Whitehead factoring into that list.

  14. Agreed. He’s pitching pretty decently. Looks like his tendency to give up HRs is still there though.
  15. This is a big game in terms of guiding the final tide of the regular season for Texas. Not a game we want to lose (as it pertains to our tournament/seeding hopes). I really hope Texas either firmly makes the tournament -or- there’s no ambiguity and we miss by a lot. The former will help with program buy in, RT’s support, and recruiting. The latter might usher in a new era, which should garner the same positive consequences.
  16. His running motion when holding the ball reminds me of Leonard Fournette.
  17. Interesting that 247 lists him as a safety. Mack Brown running the show over there now? To be fair though, his player rating/national ranking falls under the ATH designation.
  18. NTTAWWT Yep, Bobby means “light in the ass.”
