I'd set the O/U at 1.5 and smart money would be the under probably

We’ve pulled (2) 5* each of the last 2 classes, the smart money is over if we’re setting it at 1.5, especially considering this class is off to a much better start.

I'm not sure you've noticed, but homeboy is struggling today with the basic concept of accountability for the things he writes on the internet. To paraphrase his other posts, stop taking what he types on the internet as something he actually means.

I’m not sure you’ve noticed but the guy you’re arguing with rides the short bus.

Both are wrapping up their visits today.

Proctor, the grad transfer out of Virginia, is about to fly out in the next 30 minutes or so. He tells me he had had a great visit overall. He'll hit Ohio State, Oklahoma, Florida State and Houston in the coming weeks (in that order).

I'll try to catch up with Proctor tonight or on Monday, but it sounds like Texas made a strong impression this weekend.

JUCO OL Willie Tyler told me yesterday his visit was going really well. No offer yet from what I can gather but I'll keep an eye on that one. His parents are both with him on the trip and as I've mentioned previously, if Texas does offer, it wouldn't be a shock for Tyler to make a quick commitment.

Like Proctor, I'll try to track down Tyler when he has more time for a detailed report, but he did tell me it's been a very good visit.

    ******

Noon update - Okay, I was able to track down both players before they caught their flights home.

    Some highlights ...

RJ Proctor said it was a great visit overall and he loved it from the second he touched down on Friday and it was 89 degrees.

"Everyone here is really close, really friendly. It feels good coming to another place and feeling like it’s home," Proctor said. "All the players are really close. It’s kind of like an upgraded version of Virginia. Texas football is just something different. People don’t take it lightly here. They were telling me some history, how they had like 105,000 people at a game. That’s just crazy. I would love to play in a place like that."

Proctor was hosted by Christian Jones and Denzel Okafor.

Of note, Proctor said he hasn't been told that he has an official offer yet. It's my understanding after talking to both him and Tyler that the coaches are going to wait until Parker Braun visits in a couple weeks before deciding which offers will be extended. If Texas does offer, Proctor said he liked his visit so much that he might alter his plans to take four other visits. If he gets the UT offer, he may talk to his parents about his options (they were both on the visit this weekend) and he could possibly take another visit or two, but he won't take four.

Willie Tyler said his visit was great and he got a home feel from it. He really connected with the coaches and players. He was hosted by a few guys ... Christian Jones, Tyler Johnson and Junior Angilau.

No formal offer yet ... he was told the staff will let him know on that after they have Parker Braun and one other OL visit on the weekend of March 1 (need to figure out who the second one is, but Tyler was told two guys will be in town that weekend). If Texas offers Tyler, this one is done.

"I would definitely jump at it immediately," Tyler said. "I feel like no weight room program can compete with theirs. It would be great players all around me, so I would obviously get better whether I redshirt or come in and play. I just feel like that the O-line chemistry, it’s not like that at every school. Some schools have groups, at Texas there’s a bond, there's no separation at all between the players."

12:50 p.m. update - FYI, Tennessee grad transfer Drew Richmond told me he's not visiting Texas March 1, so the second visitor (if there is one) has to be someone else.

I think somebody else reported Jonah Jackson the Rutgers GT was visiting March 1

He hasn’t really said much about Texas to indicate we are the likely destination, correct?

Is this going to be like 2019 where we have to go national to match his talent?

Supposed to be in for the whole weekend of March 9th.

Well his little brother Jonathon is going to be a top 2021 LB himself (I think they have 2 more younger brothers as well). This guy combined with Floyd, Bru, and Adimora -- would be HUGE.

A family pipeline of LBs would be nice.

Such says Garth gave him commitment quotes three weeks ago.

I believe it's been @Fud that's been perplexed by aggy optimism so let's see the spin on this one. Liucci has been saying Garth is the best OL in Texas. Other than Lindberg there aren't any other elite OTs in state so it'll be interesting to see what they say moving forward.

Perroni has also been touting Garth as best OL in the state, had him at 11 overall.

Some measurements from the UA Houston camp:

    Shadrach Banks 5’11.75 207lbs

    Hayden Connor 6’6 312lbs

    Bryce Foster 6’4 318lbs

    Tunmise Adeleye 6’4 255lbs

    Derrick Harris 6’2.5 213lbs

Wonder what Donovan Jackson came in at, convincing him and Foster to be the Guards in 2021 would be nice.

Super K thinks the silent commit will announce on Monday.

I’ve seen a couple of kids on twitter mention attending a “Texas preview” on Monday, do we know if this is just part of the junior day? Possibly it happens at this?

    Couple notes from Super K:

-OU has backed off Brennon Scott
-Texas is out front for Prince Dorbah right now
-Quentin Johnston is visiting this weekend and holds a Texas offer.

Do we know if Scott or Dorbah will Be back in town this weekend? Would be nice to close 1 or both of those soon.

Yeah. But if only there was another school not too far from Austin where he might be Encouraged to take kids he's chaperoning from California that is sponsored by Adidas. A school that they'd probably never before considered as an option, and that may or may not just drop off a bag of fucking cash while they're visiting.

The guy can seem on the up and up, and the guy can seem to really like Texas, but circumstances change, and we never know what level of influence or pressure is currently being leveled on this guy, but more importantly what that dynamic will be in the future. One thing for certain, however, is that his affiliation with Adidas will NEVER be a positive for Nike schools.

Well I don’t know how to embed a tweet on my phone but he posted one yesterday of him and Flowe doing the 🤫 (tagged Carrington) and he’s wearing Nike gear, so apparently Adidas doesn’t have quite the stranglehold

    Really? Fuck.

They are definitely sponsored but Adidas but I question how much of a difference that will really make, only 2 PAC schools are Adidas (Washington and Arizona State) and he has connections to Bru and Gabe so didn’t hurt there. Plus he seems to be pro Texas on twitter and has already brought kids to Texas on more than one occasion.
