  1. Yep, or a sack of cubes. Or if you get caught naked, tell them you are going after a load of hay.
  2. They say you only get one good dog in life, ever ones definition of a good dog is different. Some years back I had that dog and lost her. A Queensland Blue that would do anything I asked of her, and I thought at that time, the smartest dog I would ever have. She developed liver cancer at seven years old and went down hill in two months. Buried her under a two hundred year old Post Oak tree at the old home place and went to the monument company and had a marker made for her. A hundred years from now the successors of the family are going to see that Llano was a damn good dog. Had several dogs after her but to me at that time they did not measure up, until I realized that I was comparing them all to her. Once I gave them all a chance they were all the one good dog I would have in my life.
  3. I hate to admit it, but every house floor pisser, yard dog, or guardian dog here has a birthday and on it they get treated. Dogs are a big damn deal to me.
  4. Sheep and goat feed. Squirrels that they catch. And the cream de la creme, John Armadillo. They absolutely love it.
  5. Most of the guardian breeds---Pyrenees, Akbash, Anatolian, Bernese, Maremma, and Komondor make outstanding pets, companions, and protectors. Loyal to a fault, more so than Labs. Take one of these breeds as a pup and bond it with a kid and the ice cream man ain't ever gonna kidnap that child. Komondors if they are old line breeding are one of the breeds a little tricky to own in that they eat azz pretty quick. Have to watch them around strangers for they are on point for their humans and if they don't like the strangers tone or body movements it could get on quick. Make great dogs for women who aren't sure about their safety at home or in public.
  6. Across the Red River, Indian Territory. Is it appropriate to say fuk OU? Cause I hate them more than the Burnt guys do.
  7. Yep, mammie. Not a herder such as Babe the pig, a working cow dog or Border Collie that you see in the UK or Oz. She is a livestock guardian---one of the guardian breeds developed in Southern Europe a couple or three thousand years ago. Most of the old line breeding of these breeds have extra dewclaws on their hind legs--process of evolution where they had to climb steep terrain and even trees. Momma has been working in the wilds with a herd for the last six months. Had the litter under a steep up and down bluff that a person would hav been bit fourteen times by coontail rattlers before they ever got close enuff to try to get them from under the rocks. I knew when she had them and knew close to where they were and I figured if they survived I would get them caught when she brought them out. This morning she took them to work and I was able to get them caught in an opening before they got back in the roughs and got away. Brought the pups back to the house with their mamma following and put her and the pups in an old stock trailer for the time being. Went and checked the migrant family just a bit ago and momma has become re-socialized and the pups are wanting to dance a bit when you "puppy, puppy " them.
  8. Pyrenees pups four weeks old. Born on the range and just caught them today. About got ate up, little Tasmanian Devils. First time being touched by a human, like trying to hold mad cats.
  9. Think he might have been referring to Chocolate gravy. Like cream gravy but its got chocolate in it. Usually cocoa. Big thing around here.
  10. Ya, I just as soon ya'll kicked our ass last week. I get my hopes up ever damn year and then poof----the balloon busts. In 2011 i thought well, hell I'll never live long enuff to see an NC and then I get reeled back in like an Agru. I believe I ain't gonna let that happen no more.
  11. Got tired of playing with the dogs and came back for more. I only watch O State and you other guys in Burnt. Fuk, I don't even know what good football is supposed to look like anymore. I did catch part of a game a couple weeks back that was on a week night. Think they were called Cincy or something? That looked like good football. But surly not cause they weren't on TV on a Saturday? I don't even know anymore.
  12. Nope-----fuk em. Gonna go play with the dogs.
  13. Yep, pissing it away. Maybe next year. Fuk you Texas, why can't you get your shit together and beat OU. We ain't ever gonna be able to do it more than once a half century.
  14. Punching out for the shift change. Wile E is just out of photo and the Road Runner is in a limb in the tree.
  15. Mine----between house dogs, yard dogs, and livestock guardian dogs, 20 dogs on this ranch.
  16. Rural land in Arkansaw and Oklahoma has went batshit. Medical weed is causing it. Fifty acre tracts where the soil type and topography is like you would find around Monahans is three thousand an acre. I'm talking rock piles with no improvements.
  17. My theory prob don't make any sense. That opens up other avenues.
  18. First thing I thought when I read it the other day, was a hit. From the family of the daughter. Southern people don't take a wronging too good. Might be they got to thinking that rich kid was gonna skate so they took the reigns in their hands. Maybe they got to thinking not enough blood was drawed so they went after the old man.
  19. Naw, fuk that. Was there though for half a semester. Weirdest place I ever been around. Pots, silver taps, muster and the way they want to treat incoming students. Just total ass crazy. Knew I made a mistake by the second day. Was lucky enough that the original U that cruited me took me at fall break without any loss. Anyhow to hell with A&M.
  20. Vet Parasitology----Should the average American dog owner be concerned? Not really. Echinococcus granulosus (dog tapeworm) are really not that prevalent. The majority of tapeworms that dogs here host are cattle or sheep tapeworm. EVEN if they are miles away from sheep or cattle.
  21. Ivermec ain't gonna kill the tapeworms----it takes one of the white wormers, such as Safeguard or Panacur . Fun fact---back in the day not all that long ago the Native indigenous tribes of the Arctic (Eskimos) suffered frequently from insanity. Research determined that it was due to them being invested with dog tapeworms because of their close association with dogs and also the using of dog milk---at times when the infants had a milk shortage due to the mother they suckled the babies on a dog with pups. When humans contact dog tapeworms they have a stage where they migrate through the brain causing damage and insanity.
