Sounds like Frank Haith is our next coach

I will continue to contend that hiring Haith is RTs biggest mistake at Texas.

Haith was a comfort hire because he's RTs friend.  RT clearly needed to bring in an offensive mind to draw up some fucking plays already.

Feels like we need 6-1 or 5-2 against the "non-ranked group" of LSU, arky (x2), Vandy, SoCar, Georgia, OU.  That gets us to 7/8 SEC wins. 7 may get us in, 8 would guarantee it with the strength of the SEC.

IF we take care of business against the non-ranked group, we don't really need a win against the "ranked group" (aggy, Ole Miss, Alabama, Kentucky, MSST), but would increase our margin for error if we stumble against the non-ranked group.

Feels like for every additional loss to the non-ranked group, we need to pick up a ranked win.   Can RT and co take care of business against LSU, arky, Vandy, SoCar, Georgia and OU and pick up another ranked win to seal the deal?

I agree with your analysis overall. I think it's almost certain we lose 1 or 2 of the "should" win games, though. Which means we probably have to win 1 or 2 of the "shouldn't" win games to make the tournament.

It's gonna be interesting. Feels like the season could go any which way from here on out while RTs job hangs in the balance.

  4. Tonight is a must win for RT and the boys. ESPN gives us a 71% chance of victory. The line is Texas -2.5 and the OU is 147.5.

I'll go with Texas -2.5 and under.

Personally I'm headed out to see Del McCroury tonight so I'll miss most of the game but the simplest way to put it is if we lose this one we're really fucked

  5. Alright everybody, today presents a big test for our guys against a high scoring Florida team that beat Tennessee by 30, yet just lost to Missouri at home. A W today would put our guys on the right track. An L would keep the RT train on its current path out of Austin and back to a UTEP level coaching gig.

ESPN computers give us a 31% chance of victory. The spread is Florida -10.5 and the over/under is 153.5. KenPom says we lose 81-71.

Take the points and maybe the over? Hook 'em!
