  1. True, but guys in the 7th would probably be an upgrade over what they have now as well. Not a great situation for a team allegedly dedicated to running the football.
  2. Waiting out the fourth round with no pick is a fuckin' beatdown. Compensatory picks added another 10 slots, and you're seeing some good quality fly off the shelf dirt cheap. I'll go ahead and curse it, but Ollie Gordon at some point later could be intradesting. Seems like a type they could use.
  3. Maybe they don't need a 1000 yard RB because they have so many receiving weapons. Uh...
  4. Not a bad round for a DT or right tackle, but still a crapshoot. Yeah, there will be a RB in the 5th, but it's not gonna be the guy you wanted in the 4th that was more talented and a much better fit.
  5. Running backs coming off the board like free samples at Costco.
  6. The first three Cowboys picks aren't terrible, but they look like a haul for a team picking at 25 rather than 12.
  7. The Mingo trade pick is... Trevor Etienne, RB Georgia. Probably more of a complimentary back, but a pretty good player. I don't haver high hopes for Mingo, but I'm not writing it off either. He has skills to be productive if he has any kind of brain to match. They didn't have much time to work him in last season. Odds aren't great, but he needs to be worth this pick, even as a competent third guy.
  8. Walker DT from Kentucky was a dude I was really hoping the Cowboys could pick up cheap. Big dude can move and mess shit up, super high ceiling. He gone. Fourth round. Furk.
  9. The biggest failure has been not acquiring another mid round pick with a small trade down. Really, the biggest failure has been the pre-draft trades with which they shit mid round picks away like they were Burger King coupons.
  10. Raiders would be a good spot, except Pete probably ain't tryna mess around with a future guy.
  11. I'm thinking he'll be a fourth round steal, or somewhere abouts. Just doesn't have the underwear olympics numbers.
  12. And a 4 probably could have gotten a good RB, but they shit that away already.
  13. There were a couple of good value DTs at 12, or a few picks later. That's probably how they should have gone. But I don't hate the Edge pick because it's a good value. He could be around and be a factor if he pans out as hoped. He's probably a big step up, but the numbers at the position are weird now.
  14. I'd feel a lot better if they had a fourth round pick.
  15. I mean, I wouldn't hate it if it gets Parsons in OLB mode more often to play all over the field. But they have one third round pick to get a starting RB and a number 2 WR. And a right tackle, safety, etc...
  16. The best remaining does look Edge heavy. Maybe the Tenn RB. Quality has dropped off bigly at RB and WR. Please, no aggy.
  17. Man, Collins would have looked good with a star on his hat.
  18. The Cowboys best OL at this point would be: LT - Smith, LG - Booker, C - Beebe, RG - Hoffman, RT - ? (somebody that sucks). Booker played on the left side, so plugging him in Martin's spot is a bit of a transition, that is awkward for some players. He should play left guard. You let Guyton and Steele battle it out for RT. Maybe one of them sucks less this year. Maybe that's the thinking. But it's probably too logical.
  19. The Hall Of Fame guard that they lost played along with a hall of fame left tackle and a multiple All pro center, and other guys with accolades. How many playoff games did they win? Two? Three?
  20. Booker will probably be damn good, that's not an issue. But at 12 a guard, and where the Cowboys are at this point, it is a massive misappropriation of draft capital. Teams with starting guards drafted in the mid rounds will be winning championships and have much more well rounded teams. The Cowboys will have the most OL in Pro Bowl, and the biggest part of the salary cap. That don't win shit.
  21. Epicly shitty sports day. Oh well, tomorrow will be better.
  22. First time in my life I'm walking out on the draft, and the first round. I have no fucks left to give.
  23. The Cowboys best tackle by far is stuck at guard, and the starting tackles suck ass, so they overdrafted a guard, even though the other guard they started last year played well and is cheap, they signed a guard in free agency they like, and had another guard that was in close competition with the starting guard. The only way they seem like they could be better is with Smith moving to left tackle, figuring out which shitty tackle starts on the other side, and having a bunch of interior options.
  24. Dallas seems like they want to be the first team in NFL history to start five guards.
  25. Not judging, but when he was being introduced he seemed like a better fit for the Oilers or Packers. Two snaps up!
