In thses types of cases, blood draws will always be well after the time of driving. In this case there is a boating accident a distance from a hospital so far more delay than a traffic stop in an urban area. There will be lots of issues there. What kind of draws. Legal blood draws or medical blood draws are not the same. Time of draw. Was there both? BAC. Extrapolation factors, if known. Medical treatment prior to draw. Warrant issues, if no consent.

I don't know the answers to your questions.  I've heard from people that saw/talked to him earlier in the evening that he was pretty liquored up.

It can, particularly in the case of an accident where the driver is injured. Also it is more likely in a case where there is a boating accident. There may not be standardized field sobriety test administered in that type of a situation. There may be a medical blood draw which is subpoenaed by the investigating officer or the prosecutor. Or there may be a legal blood draw and it takes quite some time for the results to be returned, as there are many legal blood draws.

What I’ve heard is a blood draw was done some time after the incident at the hospital.  Not sure if the guy was injured. Due to the length of time, they had to extrapolate his BAC at time of accident.

Why do so many Texans heat their homes with electricity instead of gas? Because electricity is so cheap?

If so I never realized that. I’ve never heard of anyone having an electric heater for their home. It’s all gas here.

My furnace is gas but the blower is electric.

#TeamPepper. Instead of dealing with a fuckton of pepper packets, I asked the waitress if she could just bring me one of those salad dressing cups about half full. She did.  I tipped well.

That seems like it would have a gritty feeling in your mouth.  Also, I generally find the pre-ground pepper one finds in restaurants to lack flavor.  Fresh ground or go home.

Luccese black cherry ostrich - thoughts?  I’ve always thought this color was pretty cheesey, but as I’m looking for an add to my boot collection I saw some and thought “not bad”, so considering a pair. Just not certain I will like once actually wearing.

The variance of rain in Greater Harris County is beyond wild.  Along the coast ranging from 1-4 inches.  Most everything  I=45 (around Hobby) and north 1 - 3"  Southwest Houston starting at 288 west were pounded overnight and into early morning with 11-13".  I'm close to Galleria and we've only had around 8" in 24 hours.

It is pretty wild.  All about whether you were in the path of those training bands.  I've had close to 12" at my house in the past 24 hours.  Based on the radar, we should get a reprieve soon.

Do you know what brand you have?  There are 4 or 5 docks on the lake I live on that have underwater lights and I ride around and hit them at night a few times a month, so I know they work well out here.  I do worry about the bulbs going out or the wires getting snagged by other fisherman doing the same thing I do though.

It's pretty fun to troll up to a light and see all of the action swimming above them, do you get the same effect from your overhead light? @Dry Elbows

Has anyone ever run an underwater light off of their dock/pier?  I'm looking at the ones that sit on the bottom and have a timer - the ones that look sturdy are expensive af.  The cheaper ones look flimsy and like they won't last for very long if they are left on the bottom 24/7.  This if for fresh water, something like this:

I have underwater green lights on my dock. One overhead and one underwater. In less than 18 months the underwater one has gone out twice.  It has been fixed, but not sure what was wrong, as it was warranty. But I understand this is pretty common.
