  1. Crested Butte is a nice little ski town and relatively inexpensive.

Telluride is my personal favorite, although price may be closer to Vail at this point.

Durango is not a ski town IMO.

Created Butte would work. Only issue with Crested Butte is your discount airlines like Southwest and Frontier only fly to Denver. I think Frontier flys into Colorado Springs as well.
  2. My wife wants to go somewhere with snow and nightlife. She loves the feel of a ski village but not interested in skiing. Any recs for a nice ski town that may be cheaper since it's not right next to a ski mountain? Thinking Like Durango ish

Breck fits your criteria well as far as being close to the main ski area. Now most of your ski destinations are going to cost you a premium during the peak weeks. But Breck is a little easier on the wallet vs Vail, Aspen, and Beaver Creeks. This is assuming you want to go to Colorado and flying into Denver or Eagle west of Beaver Creek.

That and many of them are just too young.

It's not always the case, but it's hard to command respect as an authority figure when the players you are coaching are a few years removed from your college days.

Look at the greats and some of the better current coaches.   It took them a decade or longer to just get a HC job and usually that was at a no name school in the sticks.  For comparisons sake....

Doing and coaching are two different skill sets. It’s pretty true in all sports. Those that are good teachers do well coaching. Those that were great doers but are mediocre teachers do poorly.

    Very true...

  5. Stay a fricken mile and half away from Samsung.  I bought a package deal at Home Depot for a top loading washer and dryer and both have been repaired more than once in four years.  The dryer just had the motor replaced for the second time.  It was under warranty,  but damn waiting for the warranty service company to come over and diagnose the problem and then waiting on them to get a part just sucks while laundry for four people including two stinky kids piles up and you have to go to the in laws to do laundry.

My refrigerator and dishwasher are champs.   I bought them  in 2005 when we built our home and they are Kenmore brand which I think is made by Kitchen Aid.  Other than an issue a few years ago with the ice maker and a  factory recall on the dishwasher circuit a year or so after we bought it, they have both done well.   Now that I said that, they will probably break down and say replace me in 2019.  LOL.

Indeed. He is what we thought he was.

Seems like the recent coaches who were hot stuff as college players don't quite make it as HC's.    They do well as coordinators or position coaches, but totally just blow it as HC's.

Look at KK at Tech as another example.  The coaches who were pretty much bench players or didn't play college ball at all do better at the HC jobs.  IMO.

Not football ... but I just had to pay $20 TO WATCH MY SON PLAY BASKETBALL! Makes me wants to pull for the terrorists.

Does he play college ball?   Dang if not.

41-36 with 12 minute quarters isn't a track meet, even with that lull in the 3rd quarter?  Maybe it isn't these days, I don't know.

In the 3rd qtr it looked like both defenses were taking over the flow of the game.   No one could've predicted how the 4th qtr was going to flow, but it certainly looked like it might follow the 3rd qtr when both had scores in the 20's.

I bought a Louisiana Grills brand pellet smoker/grill. The one I got was made in North America and that is a big reason I got it, instead of another brand.

We really like it. I've gradually increased the difficulty, so to speak, of the meats I have done on it. A month ago I did a 6-pound pork loin and it was amazing. I used a dry rub and fixed it up nice. Smoked it for about three and a half hours at 250 degrees and it was extremely juicy when we finally cut into it.

Christmas Eve I am doing another large pork loin, 8 pounds this time, as well as a prime rib.

I have not yet done chicken. That is coming up in the near future. I did do a turkey breast on Thanksgiving and it too was awesome.

A really nice thing about this one I have is that it is also capable of getting to 550 degrees for grilling steaks. I have enjoyed this one so much that I got rid of both of my gas grills.

Which one did you get?   I'm gradually getting interested in these grills.

Yeah, no one thought that.  At least no one that knows the first thing about football, both defenses were way too good for that to happen.

The only one that kind of kept it real during the whole game broadcast and pre game was Craig Way.  He's seen and called enough of them to counter the conventional thinking.

well thank you FSSW for that 10 hour pregame so my DVR only recorded into the third quarter you assholes. Every game recorded fine until this one god damnit. So I hear it was a good ending.

Funny thing is all the scoring until the forth quarter occurred in the first half and it really looked like at one point in the third qtr,  the score could stay as is thanks to  both defenses doing well.  And then bang in the 4th all chit happened.  Considering all the pundits were thinking this would be a track meet type of game with scoring at will on both sides.

Well...  That pretty much rules them out.

Reading the article and some of the reference links, it looks all these discount international carriers based in Europe expanded too fast without figuring out how they were going to pay for it in the short term, much less the long term.

  13. He could have won 70-0 today and would never see the light of day again in that regard.
Dude's scum. When's your wife's 8 months pregnant you go strange.   Nah uh.

Dang how did I forget about that?

    Screw that idiot!
  14. Funny how they moved up to 6A where they belong and got their ass whipped then fudged the numbers to move back down to beat up on 5A teams. They are not a true 5A team any longer but they feel safe there because they will be exposed in the classification they belong. They know how to play the system.

Funny how HP always comes right under the cutoff, regardless the number . So much to the point it’s a joke with the state sports media and others who pay attention to the politics with the realignment thing. Im not suggesting a conspiracy, but........
