How many times have we read shit like this from aggy after every coaching change and signature win in his first season?   And I got news for the aggy ass clowns.   The LSU win was not a signature win.   My gosh I had to stay off Facebook most of Sunday because I know a lot of aggys and it was nothing but tripe about the win on Saturday night and how it was going to take them to the next level.   Good fricken luck with that!

This clown should check the LSU schedule for next season.    We are going to get beat LSU first......Then what in hell are they going to say after that???????

They’ll never let Aggie play a Big 12 team unless they were heavy favorites.

Or the SEC wizards of smart  might think   aggy is heavy favorites and let them play a Big 12 team  thinking they could win one.  I would say Okie State would be the perfect bait for them to bite at because if the Okie State who beat us along with WV and should of beat OU sucks shows up, then it will be a long night for aggy.  But if it's the one that lost to TCU last week or Tech early in the season, then it will be a bragging point for the sheep lovers.    The SEC might just look at these games  they lost and say it's a safe game for aggy and the SEC brand whatever in the heck that means.

no way a coach knows everyone who has sideline passes, and it IS a problem and it IS going to end up with a fight between players/randos or something along these lines. not that it matters a ton, he is a "football manager" so he is on the sideline anyway i think?

same for rushing a field, it's going to end up really really really really really really really really really ugly when you have half a football team getting into a fight with students of the other school and it is broadcasted from the skycam

Not just Aggy specific,  but there are way too many people on the sidelines during college games at all levels.   If I were a numbers guy wanting to get the best for my bucks at some of these athletic departments, I'd be questioning why so many people are needed on the sidelines dressed up in university gear, etc.   This is on top of the sideline passes given to VIP's and others who could very well afford their own tickets and suites.

I just want to add a data point to my dissertation as to why Super Conferences are garbage and terrible and why a 10 team Big 12 must be preserved: This is the third fucking time Northwestern has played Ohio State in a decade. The third fucking time these two schools, from the same fucking conference, are playing since 2008. What a joke. What a bunch of fucking bullshit. I have no idea why so many on this site want us to join one of those horrible things.

I mean going into this game Texas has played Wyoming more than Ohio State has played Northwestern since 2008.

Same shit as the SEC! SEC! SEC!.   Look how many times Bama will play UGA in conference in the next seven years.    Hint... We will play Bama more than UGA will.   Which is the same amount of times the sheep lovers will play them too.

Say what you will about the old Big 12, but at least the conference was more proactive with rotating the crossover games.

Yeah...no...Ohio State is going to destroy them. They will roll over like chumps.

Odds are you are correct about a Ohio State victory..  But if you look at Northwestern's results, they didn't roll over in their loses to Norte Dame and Michigan......   Or any of their other loses.

On the other hand, Ohio State rolled over for Purdue and nearly was upset by Maryland.   Other than dominating Michigan which was probably aided by the rivalry dynamic, they really haven't  "rolled" anyone  from  the Power 5's  other than Oregon State and Rutgers who both sucked big time this year and Tulane who they should of beat in such fashion in a cupcake game.

Don't be surprised if Northwestern causes chaos next weekend!

This. There will be some media calls for Michigan as well.

Michigan has no business in the discussion after what an overrated Buckeye team did to them in Columbus.

I hope Northwestern is able to play ball on Saturday and upset Ohio State.  The shit storm in the media about not getting a Big 10 team in the dance will be fun to watch!

And the win over Notre Dame in the 1988 Cotton Bowl. THE MOST DOMINATING PERFORMANCE IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL HISTORY.

    I forgot about that one!

Well based on how things went down in the 1980s when they won a few big Cotton Bowls they would act...basically the same as they do now. A&M is better than everybody at everything and is the center of the universe. SInce they are always champions in their own minds, during the few times they actually do achieve success it actually makes very little difference.

When A&M beat us 10 out of 11 years I thought their gloating was insufferable and I couldn't wait to turn the tables yet...when we beat them six straight times their reaction was exactly the same as when they were beating us. Gloating. Trash talking. We suck and they are great. It makes no difference how good they actually do, they respond the same way.

So people sometimes will say things like 'oh wow can you imagine what A&M fans would be like if they won the National Championship?' and you don't need to wonder because you already know. TAMU is the best school in the universe and the entire world worships College Station. That is just a given, so the facts will be interpreted to fit that narrative. If the facts just so happen to support that narrative, then great, but the narrative is still the same.

I recall the era well.  Most of my friends were Aggy  because they had family going to Aggy at the  time or were offspring of Aggy.  And of course they had a lot of "t-shirt fans" which is ironic because they like to throw that term around about our fanbase, especially a few years back when we were way up and they were stuck in Sucksville.  Anyhow I was one of the few UT kids around (we were in stuck in Sucksville most of that decade)  and judging by their most recent behavior and of course after Saturday night, they haven't changed one bit!

After the 1986 Cotton Bowl  when they beat Auburn and Bo Jackson, you would have swore  they won the national title.   They forgot they were actually favored to win the game and were ranked higher than Auburn, but it didn't matter.  They beat BO FRICKEN JACKSON for crying out loud and that's all that counted.

  10. Every damn Aggy I know acted like they won a championship yesterday.

I pointed out to one, you must be real around of your SEC defense and he smiled until I told him a real defense would of never allowed a seven OT game to happen.  They would  have come up with a stop during the second OT  and ended that joke of what is now being called the game of the century by the kiss ass SEC media.

  11. This Brenham team is in serious rebuilding mode.  If they were still in Region III, I'm not sure that they would have even made the playoffs this year.  I'd love to see them go compete, but I fear that they're in over their heads next weekend.  I'm still very impressed with how this year's team picked themselves up after an ugly 1-3 start.

They are kind of young and maybe unfair to compare them to the Brenham teams of the not so distant past because of that. The team we faced in the Semis in 2005 had a number of players who went on to big boy schools to play college ball.
