  1. Ed Marinero was a Heisman runner-up. He was a regular on Hill Street Blues, an excellent cop show from the 1980's, and had a respectable TV acting career. His speech was long (and humorous), but it's not like he is up there because he finished 14th in a county spelling bee.
  2. It is almost a double album length. There are, IMO, only two mediocre tracks, Low Desert and Zither. My favorites are: So Fast, So Numb Leave The New Test Leper E-Bow the Letter These rank with their very best work. Great thread, about an unjustly forgotten superb album. I would rank it my 3rd favorite album behind Life's Rich Pageant & Automatic for the People. Incidentally, I am one of about 10 people who really enjoyed their next album, UP. And it is "Binky" the doormat, not "Blinky". I wonder what that's about. Thanks for the recording background.
  3. Father Christmas - Greg Lake
  4. I skied CB today. Once I knocked the rust off (i'm 64, and I have not skied since 2019), it was a great day. Great snow, and the mountain is opening up. Paradise Bowl is open.
  5. Really good list. Love's Forever Changes, Who's Next and the Velvet Underground and Nico are indispensible.
  6. I would go with Blonde on Blonde, a double album that never drags (I should have included on my list).
  7. Crested Butte is a good choice. Lift lines are minimal most of the time.
  8. That is the wordiest and lamest commercial in recent memory.
  9. Mostly from a few years ago: Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run The Who - Who's Next Replacements - Let It Be REM - Life's Rich Pageant Rod Stewart - Every Picture Tells a Story Love - Forever Changes Zombies - Odessey and Oracle Steve Forbert - Alive on Arrival
  10. No one is worse than Charlie Strong.
  11. John Lennon Jim Croce Members of Lynyrd Skynyrd
  12. I like the show. IMO, Seasons 1-4 A/A+ Seasons 5-6 B+ Season 7-11 C (although there were a couple of great episodes in Season 7 & 😎 Best character: Phil, with Claire a close second Worst character: Gloria Best Season: 2 Best Episode: Caught in the Act
  13. I don't think Watson waiving his no-trade clause is going to matter. Maybe I am missing something. Some team is going to have to trade for him.
