  1. Gerry said on the IT recruiting podcast that Sayin told him straight up he isn't coming to Texas after Arch committed. I think the 2024 QB will have to be a Charles Wright type.
  2. Wouldn't the computer models actually be underestimating how good we are since most of our results are with Card as the starter? With Ewers at the helm we have had statistically the best offense in the country. Granted, his two fullish games were against two of the worst opponents we will play all year, but that is still damn impressive.
  3. I wonder what the role of Billingsly will be. So far this season we have really only thrown the ball to six guys: Worthy, Sanders, Whittington, Bijan, Roschon, and Keilan. No one else on the team has even 5 receptions. Is Billingsly good enough to take the ball out of the hands of any of those six?
  4. Besides Burden who I assume we will buy a lottery ticket for, some other receivers I could see entering the portal looking for a an upgrade in location are Kevin Coleman (JSU/Deion) and Tetairoa McMillan (Arizona). McMillan is having a really solid true freshman campaign, but I can't imagine the NIL opportunities at Arizona can compete with bigger programs.
  5. Luther Burden has to be one of the guys we are going to make a run at, though that will certainly be a national slugfest as has already been alluded in this thread.
  6. In the current recruiting landscape, money talks. I grew up a UCLA fan and can tell you that football program has terrible alumni support. I doubt there are really any good NIL opportunities being provided to their team.
  7. I listened to Gerry talk on the IT recruiting round up from earlier today and it sounds like the staff already has a WR and DT in mind they are gonna go after in the portal, which is good to hear.
  8. The best part of NIL is seeing goofy shit like this.
  9. Texas 38 Iowa St 14 38 attempts for 180 yards This offensive weapons for Texas are too potent to be stymied for long, and ISU doesn't have the offense to keep up.
  10. Can someone with more football knowledge than myself weigh in on why Worthy was fairly quiet this game? Did the 0U sell out to take him away which left Whittington and Sanders open? I was surprised he only had like 3 catches and 30 yards given how great Ewers was slinging it.
  11. The RB situation will be the most interesting thing to watch in next year's Spring and Fall camps. I wonder how Keilan fits into the picture. Is Brooks the heir apparent to getting the majority of carries? Will he split them with Baxter?
  12. You are only allowed to practice 5 times a week, so one of the 6 days between games will always be an off day.
  13. Texas 52 Okla 24 Bijan + Xavier 307 yards
  14. I wonder is the thought that us and A&M will split Baxter/Owens? If A&M does bag Baxter and get him to flip, circling back to Owens seems like our best bet. Though I don't know if we aren't willing to put up with how much of a headache he could be.
  15. Texas 35 WVU 31 RB Yards - 269
  16. Texas - 42 Tech - 21 WR Yards: 254, including Worthy going over 150 and getting 2 TDs
  17. Can we start the fund to pay Roschon $10k again?
  18. It'll be interesting to see what we do at WR in the portal this off-season. We are losing Milton for sure, and I am guessing Whittington leaves if he thinks he has any shot at the NFL? So we aren't losing much to graduation, but I am guessing Omeire and Alexis are the most likely to portal. I can't see us being a destination for a top WR like Stewart who might be transferring given we will have Worthy, Neyor, and the new freshman guys like Cook all vying for targets.
  19. Texas 42 UTSA 7 Yards: 224
  20. The defense just held the reigning Heisman trophy winning QB to 20 points, but now we think some dude who plays for UTSA is scoring 28? We are winning 42-7
  21. Y'all being bitches about Card are idiots. He lead us to a 20 point win against ULL last year, and both our defense and OLine are greatly improved from that game, our offensive weapons are another year older and accustomed to the playbook. We will win by 35 at least.
  22. Yeah that's not how it works. "Texas is undefeated this year". Well we were briefly undefeated after one game. See how dumb that sounds?
  23. Murphy was not a 5 star, he was a low 4 star
