  1. Oh, and anyone not watching on TUDN/Univision is missing out; infinitely better than the FS1 crew.
  2. Canada should have been cruising 3 or 4-nil. Can’t waste chances against quality opponents. Massive error by the Gk.
  3. Happy Birthday, Merica.
  4. Lightyears ahead of when Arteta took over.

    USMNT 2024

So it was a John Terry & Wayne Bridge-type situation, which broke a few months ahead of the 2010 World Cup. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/may/03/betrayal-and-bombast-surreal-story-terry-v-bridge-scandal

    USMNT 2024

I saw this old quote pop up again on Reddit, and it's on-point. Before Zlatan was Zlatan, he was the son of poor immigrants who moved to Sweden, developed a love of the game, and got noticed. I doubt his parents had the equivalent of $3500/yr to get him in a good club team.

    USMNT 2024

The response is funny, but the original quite from Weston... Well... obviously not. The fact that they are so rooted and attached to the MNT boss is absolutely part of the problem. They needed a new voice after the 2022 WC. Everything that has happened since is just further proof (wins vs La Tri aside, because fuck La Tri).
  8. Like with Locatelli... Juve know most Italians (likely) want to stay in Italy and (likely) play for Juve, they'll agree personal terms with the player, get the player to go public (even if it's "liking" a tweet/x/snapface post from one of their preferred journalists) with his preference of a move to Juve, and then force the selling club to accept 2m/yr for 20 years. Same as it ever was.
  9. Yep. We have us some racing at the moment; multiple teams vying for poles, wins, and podiums. Midfield battles have been good as well.
  10. Colorado, who finished 124 of 133 FBS schools last year in team defense, gets ranked #20 defense?
  11. Gasley reups with Alpine, "multi-year deal." And, shocker, Daddy Stroll keeps his kid on the payroll. https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/breaking-gasly-commits-future-to-alpine-after-agreeing-multi-year-extension.2fTOrdhn0AgZa4r4UVkktt https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/breaking-aston-martin-confirm-stroll-to-remain-as-alonsos-team-mate-after.2jFNF8IKenDvIeDXEpblBD

    Euro 2024

We may bitch about Gregg's idiocy wasting a good crop of MNT players, but Southgate is out there proving it could be worse.
  13. Whoever invented naoch needs the damn Nobel Prize.

  15. Happy for him; getting in the France XI is an achievement.
  16. Pre-ordered the first day it was available to do so. 🤘
  17. Of note, yesterday a mixed unit of troops from the 101st and 2nd Rangers fought a delaying action against elements of the 2nd SS Panzer at Ramelle, keeping a bridge over the Merderet out of German hands just long enough to allow 4ID to reach them and finally drive off the German attack. Had 2nd Panzer taken the bridge, they could have driven into the flanks of invasion forces driving inland from Utah.
  18. At his best (first half of 22-23), Partey is still one of the best No 6 in the world; his skillset is unique. Problem is, we cannot AT ALL rely on him to remain healthy. If we can get 20-25m, I say we take it and use the funds to get a replacement. Saka plays infront of Benny Blanco and Ode, and that stability no doubt helps his production. He knows what they're going to do and vice versa. Part of Martinelli's drop in form last year is the the revolving door of LBs and left 8s playing behind him. In 22-23, he played infront of Zinny and Xhaka damn near every match, and had his best year. Last year? No so much. Get stability in those positions, and he'll return to form. Crazy to think he's only 22; his best days are ahead of him.
  19. Ten Hag In. https://www.theguardian.com/football/article/2024/jun/11/erik-ten-hag-to-continue-manchester-united-manager-after-season-review
  20. Salmon seared and finished with butter and garlic. Corn and squash salad with bell peppers.
  21. Wonder if these are all things Deschamps still doesn’t like. 100% Aerial duels won, 95% successful passes, 98 touches, 8 duels won, 3 balls won, 2 successful tackles, 1 interception.
  22. Needs to be more than Uncle Ian calling out this shit. “Now more than ever let's get behind & support these young people. We can all see what's happening & who's being set up to be the face of defeat. We are going to be gas lit with explanations & justifications, but those deciding who goes on the back pages know what they’re doing. Let's keep our energy focused on giving these players pure love & support throughout the tournament.”
  23. Øde with one hell of an assist on a Haaland goal. https://streamin.one/v/eb8c1671
