    2025 NFL Draft

Fwiw, he actually has a high pressure rate, he just struggled to convert those into sacks. Some teams might look at that and think they can turn those into sacks, and some might look at that and think consistent pressures are good enough at that pick. Also, draft twitter/fans always underrate power rushing from the edge compared to what the NFL sees. Coaches value edges who'll bully lighter tackles or TEs/RBs, and at Shemar's size he'll potentially offer that I think he starts to become a surplus value pick in the second half of the round. Taking him first overall over Aiden Hutchinson is a different story

He’s huge and athletic. His lack of production is priced in and is why he’s not a top five pick

    He'll do whichever makes sense
  6. Yes hiring from the coaching tree isn't necessarily a bad thing. Others in the tree can potentially do better than Slowik, and if you stay within the tree, Kubiak naturally will be a candidate Hiring from a different tree that has different (arguably better) rules for pass pro is intriguing though. I think the OL is set up for a different run scheme too, outside of the light center(s)
  7. I saw a report saying that the assistant OL coach (don't remember who reported it) was also let go, but that appears to be inaccurate https://x.com/RapSheet/status/1882883757268746365
  8. Firing the both the OL coach and assistant OL coach makes me think it won't be an internal hire It'll be an outside OC who'll pick an OL coach who fits his offense, imo

  10. First question is, are they staying in the McShanahan tree that about a third of the league is in now, or are they zagging? Either way, the OC needs to be aligned with the OL coach
  11. While I think it's the right move, I'm surprised Demeco pulled the trigger. They don't want to waste Stroud's rookie contract

    2025 NFL Draft

Daniel Jeremiah went on Mcafee and some clips that made their way into my timeline had him saying - Has Will Howard as a top 50 pick right now but needs to do a deeper - Carter is the best prospect in the draft - Milroe will be a day two pick - League is split on Sheduer - Quinn had a disappointing year

    2025 NFL Draft

I think it’s more likely they just don’t understand Houston roster

    2025 NFL Draft

I think they’ll just take a guard. Maybe it’ll be a guard with tackle flexibility like Donovan Jackson, but it makes no sense to spend premium resources on four tackles

    2025 NFL Draft

I think Tet is a stud. Young Mike Evans
  16. It was both, imo
  17. Tee Higgins will be too expensive I'd want to keep Fatukasi, if he's not too expensive
  18. I think interior OL is a biggest issue than WR2 Shore the OL up, and everything else on offense gets easier

    2025 NFL Draft

That's the second recent mock I've seen that has Houston taking an OT in the first.. which is absurd. They already have three OTs.

These would both be plug and play starters for Houston day one. I'd prefer Warren or a high end DT, but these are fine options too
  22. It's always nice when Pelosi buys a stock that you're holding and then it goes up 25+% immediately after it's disclosed

    2025 NFL Draft

I'll be surprised if Tre Moore gets drafted
  25. I'm thinking TE or DL makes sense in the first round, and an interior OL at some point in the first two days. There are some really athletic high upside DL that could be in Houston's range that could help take the defense to another level Also need to sign a veteran interior OL to start for next year, and need to at the very least replace the OL coach. I'd also replace Slowik, although I doubt that happens
