  1. Conner is adequate in pass pro at guard, but in the run game you have to game plan around him likely fucking up his assignment. I'm skeptical that he'd be adequate in pass pro at tackle He's good depth if he'll stick around for it. If he's beating our others in our "best five" on merit and not injuries, that's a really bad sign
  2. I don’t think DE is necessarily off the table. When in doubt, you can always add pass rushers
  3. They’ll sign a couple of guys with the money they didn’t spend on armstead and cobble together a rotstion, and it’ll be fine I don’t think this necessarily means they’ll go interior DL in the first if there are better players on the board
  4. Russinni didn’t mention houston, and this chronic guy says Houston didn’t give an offer
  5. Supposedly Houston was worried about Collins' medicals going forward
  6. Jacksonville is doing the wasting Andrew Luck in Indianapolis thing, and Tennessee traded away a star WR and then fired an above average head coach and appear to have an unhinged owner. Indianapolis has a good GM and head coach, but might have an injury prone QB and aren't quite the dumpster fire that the other two are, but it feelsgoodman that half of our division appears to be poorly run for the foreseeable future
  7. Regarding Jimmie Ward, institutional knowledge is important for DBs in this Fangio based defense. Ward can play both safety spots and nickel, and even if he goes into the season as a backup, I think they could keep him around
  8. So per that Athletic guy, this was a potential backup plan deal for in the event that Houston missed on Hunter

    2024 NFL DRAFT

    No, they don’t
  10. Not sure if Houston can give the biggest offer at this point and still fill out the roster with guys they need (a safety, especially), they might need a discount
  11. He did before drafting Kenyon Green
  12. That report came out a little before Hunter was announced. It was also reported that Atlanta gave Hunter a competitive offer ($75 over 3 with less guarantees, I believe). That might have been Houston telling him "take this offer now, or it could be going elsewhere" I'd love to add Armstead, but at this point I wonder if someone like Tennessee will be more motivated to sign him I have no doubt Houston will add a quality safety. I'm wondering if they add two though?
  13. Houston is filling out depth needs to they can focus on best players available (within reason) in the draft
  14. I think it's best player available from several positions (DL, edge, WR, corner, maybe OL) My best guess based on who might be there is Darius Robinson
  15. Powers-Johnson might not even make it to Houston at #23 (not that they're taking a center after drafting two last year)
  16. Nickel corner might be a good option in the 3rd round - Mike Sainristil - Adru Phillips - Renardo Green - Max Melton - Jarrian Jones
  17. After re-signing Noah Brown, I think they can wait until after the draft to fill out the roster at WR
  18. Pre combine, Brugler he had 7 RBs all in the same ballpark in his rankings, from #70 (Jonathan Brooks) to #92 (Trey Benson), and he's since said on his pod that he has about 9 guys he likes in the same ballpark I think Houston can wait at least until round three, and probably until round four to find one (these have presumably changed since the combine, for instance Benson and Wright's stocks have probably gone up while Estime's has probably gone down) 70) Jonathan Brooks 73) Blake Corum 75) Braelon Allen 81) Bucky Irving 87) Audric Estime 89) Jaylen Wright 92) Trey Benson I'm guessing the top not in this top 100 are Ray Davis (who I like- he played in the Shanahan/McVay offense this year at Ketucky) and Marshawn Lloyd I think you can do better than RB in the 2nd round
  19. Unless there’s someone they can’t pass on, like Brian Thomas Jr at 23 or Legette at 59
