  1. Dude, read what you just wrote. You're criticizing a character over his inability to immediately master the skills of: Transferring your mind into a living creature (and controlling said creature) Time travel Granted, we're talking about a fantasy series, but I think this makes Bran a more believable character than if he just knew how to harness his new powers immediately.
  2. Aaaaaaaaand, San Antonio passes on his rights so he’s now available to the team with the lowest W-L record. Hilarious. His hometown team, in a new league looking for push ticket sales, says “nah, we’re good.”
  3. I'd have to rate our worst Shaka losses as: 1. UT-Arlington 2. Kent State 3. Radford I can't believe those letters just came out in succession on my keyboard.
  4. The Baylor loss in Waco says hello...
  5. Hello, Mrs. Smart.
  6. Luckily, I'm not. Haven't seen a single episode.
  7. I’m sure Buzz Williams will also be in the mix, but he’s another guy that just signed a big extension recently and the buyout number would probably be pretty large. It will definitely be an interesting offseason, but the worst outcome would be if Shaka is still on the 40 next year.
  8. Solid points. However, I think too many of our fans think that Beard is completely enamored with UT and can’t wait to get here. Yeah, he went to school here and he spent a year as a grad assistant, but he’s spent over a decade at Tech. He’s got some pretty deep roots there. He’s making over $3MM a year while running a top 10 program at the moment. Could he end up in Austin someday? Sure, there’s always that chance. I just don’t think it will be in the short term, especially this offseason.
  9. Who’s on your list? GTFO if you think Beard is leaving Lubbock to come to our shitshow of a program.
  10. I think CDC should be reaching out to Frank Martin at South Carolina. He had some damn good teams at KSU, so he knows the conference, and they were always a tough team to play. He hasn’t had quite that same success at South Carolina, but they did make the Final Four two years ago. We probably aren’t in a position to hire away a top coach right now and I don’t think we can afford to take another chance on another up-and-comer. Martin checks a lot of boxes and I think he could turn this shop around pretty quickly. If he did it at KSU he could do it in Austin.
  11. Haha....the website on the poster just redirects to his own website where he hawks merch. Gotta love Tommy.
  12. I’m sure this will be like almost every other true crime doc out there where the perp probably did it but there’s enough evidence out there to make it plausible another answer is out there. Still, makes for good tv.
  13. Exactly. Reward one of those good small conference teams with an actual chance of winning a game in the tourney than this soft, weak-minded, offensively-deficient Texas squad.
  14. I think we're the garbage team...
  15. The first spinoff will take place during the Age of Heroes, set 8k-10k years before the books/tv series timeline. We’ll probably see stories about legendary characters like Bran the Builder (founder of House Stark, builder of The Wall) and Lann the Clever (founder of House Lannister), among others. Since this time was before recorded history, most of what is though to have happened during that time came handed down in stories and legends, so the “true” stories that we’ll see in this series are likely very different than what is currently known. FYI, Ser Duncan the Tall is the name of the knight you’re looking for. I wouldn’t be shocked to see a spinoff series on him as there are three stories to go off of and he is one of the most legendary figures in Westerosi history.
  16. Jon ends up on the throne (which comes open after Cersei is killed by/dies with Jamie) after he defeats the Night King in single combat, thus destroying all the other White Walkers and wights. My guess as to the “unhappy” ending is that Dany sacrifices herself in some way to save Jon, fulfilling the Azor Ahai/Prince That Was Promised prophecy.
  17. Perfect ending
  18. Who let Jabba the Hut sit right behind the announcer’s table?
  19. Of course he goes to this game and Harden’s 30 point game streak ends. Is there anything this guy doesn’t fuck up?
  20. He reminds me of a taller, slower, slot-version of Jerry Rice
  21. Can we let LJH play an NFL down before we compare him to a Hall of Famer?
  22. Shaka during every late game situation
  23. Was there any doubt that possession would be anything other than a complete abomination?
  24. Amazing what happens when you focus on playing inside...
