  1. I know their roles don't totally overlap - but if RoJo stays at RB, Ty Jordan will have to fight to get reps over them. RoJo has shown a ton of ability and will only get better - he's still so new to the position.
  2. That's a strategy tailor-made for Le'Veon because he just stands there and waits and waits and waits until someone overpursues, and then takes the space created from that. I'm not sure it's the best strategy for Hubbard. I watched some of the Tulsa game, and the run blocking by the OSU O line on many of the runs was absolutely incredible - holes sometimes looked wide enough to drive a car through. Our d line needs to hold their own and disrupt plays when possible.
  3. That's gonna be a helluva matchup. I hope Cosmi's aware of Chaisson's chirping.
  4. The shirts didn't say, "We're DBU." They said, "There's only one DBU" - which is a pretty clear shout out to LSU (and also possibly Florida and Ohio State). But definitely to LSU, who we play this year. It looks like you've got a nice thesaurus with some fancy words there. Unfortunately there''s no Roger's guide to reading between the lines a little bit. Either that or you've got on blinders as big as Liucci's conch.
  5. LSU's academics suck, but Penn is better than UT. Advantage LSU?
  6. Huff, who is on our coaching staff and therefore represents the university, had the idea for the shirts. So I get it if they're a little pissy. Also, if we can get upset at Chaisson for talking shit, they can get upset at our DBs for talking shit (with their shirts).
  7. BUTTFUMBLE U T T F U M B L E
  8. this was an offensive scheme designed around 0 passers.
  9. how is 20 carries "running him into the ground"? that just seems like a busy day at the office for a RB1.
  10. Hopefully Young and Kirk Johnson will be back by the OU game, and RoJo has looked good... As long as Ingram and Sam stay healthy and don't get injured due to overuse the next few games, this shouldn't derail the season. And J Whit should be back by mid season too.
  11. DeMarco Boyd would have been nice to have on the roster rn...
  12. we won't have to. machinator's already broken down why and what the breakdown could look like. smith and dev can take a few as well.
  13. If Whittington, Young and Johnson get healthy this season, maybe RoJo can move back to QB despite the burned redshirt, and then redshirt next year... that would be a decision for him and the coaches.
  14. RoJo could develop into a starting QB. If Ehlinger and Casey Thompson return next year, he can redshirt then and learn the QB position more - the RB depth will be much better next year.
  15. It makes more sense to dare us to keep running the ball, and make us figure out how to distribute 40+ carries. Focus on the pass in RPOs and show favorable numbers for runs, and see if we can sustain drives and not wear our runners out.
  16. I guess it's nice we saw Duvernay execute a carry well against LA Tech... if things come to that on Saturday.
  17. I get that, but as Rod Babers said on Longhorn Blitz... We desperately need running backs right now. Why convert people from other positions instead of using the guy who was the HS NPOY while playing a lot of RB in HS? Jake can go back to focusing on the slot and returning punts when we get some guys healthy. We have other options at slot and returner. If we have to use Gbenda and he looks like ass out there as a RB... this decision will be very questionable.
  18. I like using RoJo. But why use Gbenda over Jake Smith?
