Oh, I see you have heard of Brisketexan’s FreedomEagleJesusGunLiberty Academy of Freedom, Jesus, and Guns. We’re accepting applications now from truly outstanding applicants*.
* Anyone who can pay $20k a year to have kids taught 100 at a time by an AI model regurgitating stuff from NewsMax with one proctor/supervisor in a cheap metal warehouse.I need Jesus in the school name for a 3rd time.
And your school should only be about teaching kids how to make a brisket. That's it. They want to eat lunch each day? Better show up at 3am ready to cook or go home hungry.

Good choice with the Kiwis. Nice folks who are pretty understanding about the craziness going on here. Same with the Aussies I meet.

Colorado too...rural mountain and desert plain maga abound. but >50% of the state lives in Denver metro-Ft. Collins corridor, thank god.
The mountains are a maga paradise, but you know there are a few sane people up there. You just have to search a bit. I can recall meeting some people there that definitely were not candidates for the cult. I think that one good idea is to buy a small plot of land up there just as a possible refuge in case you need it. I know land prices are much higher now, but look around and at least see what is available. Some land backs right up into BLM lands so it gives you more room to roam or places to be at in case the entirety of diet breaks down. Hopefully that last part does not come to pass.

Part of me wants to just shrug this post off as a nonsensical rant, but it’s not that simple. Saying get help here does nothing either because there have been too many of these rants from this poster to count. I just hope they find a modicum of peace in their life. No more no less.

ngl i'd like to strike down with great vengeance and furious anger the tyranny of evil men who are poisoning and destroying my country.
You may get to shoot your shot on this. Every country has a very fragile veneer holding things together. If the destabilization reaches the point where food scarcity were to hit then find yourself a nice spot up in the mountains to live at.
None of this has to be happening. Not one bit. The whims of an idiot and his cult put all of this stupidity front and center so we all get to revel in them destroying society.

I think @Derka would say she goes hard in the paint. I know I say it about her. One of the few things Texas has done right is getting Crockett elected to Congress.

The times I was rude to teachers and coaches in high school come to mind. As a young adult I went back to the ones who were still in my hometown to apologize for my actions. One apology was to Mark Bell, the father of former Baylor QB Shawn Bell. I saw him when I was in college. I was a student assistant at the time on the men’s basketball team as I had decided I was done being a mediocre football player at the university I attended. They were there to watch a guy on the basketball team who was also from my hometown.
I told him I was sorry and he said it was just water under the bridge and I was just being a teenager. I had more interactions with him when I was broadcasting games for Gatesville from 2000-2004 and China Spring was in their old 17-3A district. He was always nice to me when I called him up.

If I recall, he said he and his family were being pressured by the gangs. He didn't say he was a member.
I met quite a few El Salvadorans when I lived on Long Island. I remember one guy recounting that he and his family had a farm and that they refused to pay money to the gang that was controlling the area they lived in. He told me the name of their town, but I cannot remember it. Anyhow the morning after they refused to pay they came to the farm and found several of their workers murdered as retribution for not paying. He fled the country shortly thereafter.
I would bet on a similar reason for Mr. Abrega having filed for asylum. Just horrible that he now is stuck in a prison full of gang members because the ‘Merica portion of America has gone full on fascist and does not care about him and his family nor do they want him living here.

I assume that the poster you are replying to was responding to the post I left. I have had that poster on ignore since last year around this time so if it wasn’t about something I wrote then I apologize in advance.
I do not talk just to talk or send out a reply to two posters just to write something for no reason. I try to articulate my thoughts like I figure most folks would when responding to a post where my opinion differs from theirs. I stray away from posting something like “You’re a moron and wrong.” when responding to someone with a different view or thoughts.

Saw it with my 4 and 6 year old. The 6 year old already asked if it "was on TV to watch" (streaming).
Such a cool movie. I try to watch movies like this by attempting to see these movies like I would have when I was a child. Seeing stuff like this reminds me to always keep that childlike love for a movie like this. I left the movie just feeling better and that's a great thing for a movie to be able to do.

Is that supposed to be impressive?
Considering that the only things that Angelenos usually will show up en masse for are a Lakers or Dodgers game, yes that is pretty cool.

I’ll go into it with low expectations, Civil War had no commentary or point to make and was essentially a mindless film. Which is fine for action movies but don’t try to shoehorn human drama into a movie like that. If this is just explosions and fights and knows it I think it could be enjoyable.
It’s a recounting of a firefight from a first-person perspective. There is no plot development other than showing the harsh realities of war and the effect it had/has on those that were fighting. Very good movie.

I saw this last night. It was direct and to the point. I appreciate a film that depicts what actually transpired without any character development. It showed the hell that being in a firefight is. War is not fun and this film definitely drives home the message of not glorifying war.
For someone such as myself who never donned the uniform it gives me insight into what it was like for those that did. Those men have all of my respect for what they do as well as women who are frontline combatants in the service of our country. I would recommend seeing it if you are okay without all the character and plot development we have come to expect from war movies.

I think Denver wins this series. This is still the Clips and they still employ Not Big Game James. Counting on him to deliver in clutch moments is humorous.

He loves the game, he just hates the bullshit that comes with being a player of his caliber. He’s very Tim Duncan. When he’s done he'll retire to his horse farm, grow dreads, and eat bonbons.
10 hours ago, Brothahorn said:You don't get that good unless you love the game. The talent can be natural. But the work ethic, conditioning, knowledge is what happens when you love the game.
There have been so many talented guys come through the NBA who did not love the game. And they are now footnotes in history.
Now he may not love the NBA life and politics, but he absolutely loves the game.
I concede that my thoughts are only my own personal opinion. You could also be right and that’s fine.
I do not believe though that every great athlete that thoroughly excels at the sport also loves the game. We as fans use this quite a lot. Being a professional athlete is a profession. It’s a highly paid one, but a profession nonetheless. Nick Kyrgios is one example, perhaps an extreme one, of someone who has a rare skill set, but does not totally love the sport he has excelled at.
If I were to look at people who excel as accountants for example I am going to put forth that the best of those in that profession do not all love what they do. They are well compensated and money is more important than love of the work for many I would posit. I won’t go much further than that at the moment because it’s a longer discussion about human beings and how we all operate.
I think if someone in Serbia told him tomorrow that he could earn as much racing horses as his next extension will pay him (212 over 3 years I believe) he would exit stage right and head home to hangout with his family, friends and horses. The NBA makes that lifestyle possible though back home. I do think he enjoys playing basketball and I enjoy watching him. It’ll be more fun when he is wearing a Purple and Gold uniform as part of a two man game with Luka. 😊
/ducks and runs from the grenades @Chewbacca will be throwing my way.

So it's a Danish study saying there is no link. In the Trump White House that is an act of war against 'Merica and means they can now go take Greenland.

Or you could stop and reread what you've written. Seems kinda weird to claim to have met someone in person and then completely misspell their name, twice. Didn't seem like a typo. Seemed like you didn't know who you were talking about
Yes you’ve caught me. I never met him, asked him what it was like up to that point of being a freshman representative in Congress or what was his biggest adjustment to the job. I must’ve met the old wrestler instead. Find something better to do with your time before the fascists in charge decide they want to take away your business for not being part of their cult.

When the bill comes for the United States it is going to be hell to pay from the rest of the world. Generations of people are going to hate the US and I completely understand and agree with how they are going to think of us even if I vehemently oppose the aid being stopped just like almost all of us in this forum.
