  1. This is why you should have that dumbass of mute, because now I was subjected to that terrible take.
  2. Austin is a Georgia guy and I do appreciate him calling out the bullshit from all the other UGA 9.95s. He definitely is a ball don’t lie kind of guy and acknowledges what Sark and Texas are doing.
  3. Well Texas must be pissed at Atkinson, Wesley and literally all the other top end recruits that also shopped their offers because that’s what elite talent does.
  4. Beck was so bad that by the end of the season the fans wanted him gone. Similar to how Texas booted Auburn, Beck single handily cost UGA games and it just would have been toxic if he came back.
  5. Beck was allowed to walk and I don’t think anyone at UGA was all that upset about it. He was in the same boat as Ewers in that he came back and then underperformed expectations and was politely shown the door.
  6. That’s a Florida State screen shot.
  7. Georgia didn’t win shit for 40 fucking years until Kirby showed up and started dropping bags that made even Saban blush.
  8. I disagree with the A&M take, they’ll drop to their knees and suck off the old guard and try and trauma bond with them over evil TU. The real interesting one is OU, they’re to justifiably proud to cuck themselves to the SEC.
  9. Lasts nights OTF made me physically ill when Jeff and CJ started talking about the 2020 season and all the close calls that could have saved Tom Herman’s job.
  10. They’re the SWC trophies that are converted into national title trophies for those DKR teams that won the conference and title. Tons of schools are paying to have fake national title trophies made for retroactive titles and almost all of them are using the crystal ball coaches poll trophy.
  11. North Shore + UGA = Felony Fleeing and reckless driving. So Calicut but I don’t know if that’s enough to end his career at a place like JAWJA.
  12. Highly doubt it’s Tech. Tech has an openly and visibly committed source of funding in the Double Eagle guys and they are firmly entrenched in both Tech and State politics and their fortunes are secure unlike the Ruiz guy at Miami. Tech’s checks aren’t going to bounce but I doubt that they can buy enough talent to overcome Lubbock’s and McGuire’s suckitude
  13. By the time that appears to happen this class will be gone which is what I was try convey. The NCAA was doing a stellar job of enforcement.
  14. This just reinforces my belief that this recruiting class is absolutely cooked. Because nothing gives me any indication that Texas was actually prepared for this. Maybe Texas is proven right down the road and this blows up in people’s face, that fallout will happen after this class in on campus.
  15. Something I haven’t seen answered anywhere is how exactly are revenue sharing payments structured? Are these players signing contracts with athletic departments? Because if that’s the case there won’t be flips and you can basically punt on this class,
  16. The fuck does the UT endowment have todo with any of this?
  17. No company cares about this. The dude could tweet out “fuck Texas Football and it’s bitch fans!” and it would have zero repercussions on his career prospects.
  18. The one thing that’s different is that the actual Athletic Departments have money on the line and have to keep actual books. The power of the old bag system is that it was cheap and entirely outside the AD’s so they could simple play dumb and deny anything. Light is the best disinfectant, with both player mobility and legalizing pay people are going to way more willing to go on record and speak about that topic. Coaches and fans can now openly complain about paying players and the media will discuss it.
  19. I think a lot of people are hung up on the old concept of the Mega Class that Bama, UGA as OSU used to sign back before NIL. Where the gap between #5 and #6 was bigger than the gap between #6 and # 12
  20. If you listen to national CFB media they have developed a narrative about Texas becoming a title contending program by leveraging NIL to buy elite trench recruits and that’s what made Texas successful. There has been an extreme case of downplaying Sark’s staff and culture leading to players developing to their potential and instead they say Texas just loaded up via NIL. It’s pretty clear that tech and A&M are trying to copy that same narrative format without the critical coaching and culture leadership element.
  21. If boosters had millions of dollars to pay collectives to money whip recruits with we would have seen other programs doing what they are doing now for the last couple years. There is another source of money being tapped now that the house settlement is in effect for schools to all of a sudden start offering 2x what Texas is.
  22. How do you think I feel being a Texas and 49ers fan and getting close to winning it all but falling short. I have said this before in this thread, athletic departments are not going to be able to hide going over the Revenue cap. ADs are subject to audit and lying to auditors who have legal power to inspect your books is not the same as telling the NCAA to piss off. If ADs are blowing past the revenue cap then that means they openly have zero intention of ever following it and they’re going to be able to pay their classes to sign in December. I highly doubt we have any clarity on the revenue cap before this class is on campus.
  23. We’re in a NFL style era of championship windows, Sark has to win a title in the next two years with the roster he has built before we are in rebuild mode. I just don’t believe that Texas is going to have some late surge of flips and sign a top 3 class, that just strikes me as wish casting. Either Texas just doesn’t have the free funds to match other offers given how loaded and expensive our roster is. Or we are going to see the most epic, meltdown, drama filled plane crash if schools are the lying to the order of millions of dollars they don’t have. I really just don’t believe it’s the latter, as much as I want it to be.
  24. I just don't see how on earth an athletic department is going to hide millions of dollars in excessive revenue sharing long term. ADs can and will be audited and millions of dollars will attract the attention of regulators with actual teeth and now you're creating situations in which fines and jail time become a risk for playing games.
  25. Who has a better roster than Texas and currently has a better recruiting class?
