Based on the results the last three years at GT I'd say no.

Hard to get excited about acquiring an assistant coach from a shittier program than ours.

I guess the RBs are happy, though. He'd better recruit his ass off.

aggy fans are getting close to being done with Buzz Williams. They lost to a bottom feeder Big 12 basketball program last night for the 2nd year in a row (TCU).

Now that UH is "officially" P5 - not that it matters in hoops - why the fuck would a good baller go to aggy?

I don't care what anyone says. That is the most selfish decision I've seen in a long time. The school that you work for is about to sign the number 1 recruiting class, is knocking on the door for a national championship. You are a DC. And you leave to go be a Head Coach at a basketball school? Like wtf. And you already are heavily compensated for 3 mil a year

There isn't glory at Duke, he could win a title here and go be a head coach somewhere better. That's ego to me

    😁🙃🤪

    HC > DC

    Raleigh/Durham > Collie Station

An opportunity to run your own program, for more money, in a more desirable location.

    Don't overthink it, aggy.

I've had that same conversation with some of aggys in person and other message boards and they insist on going back to the fiction that every week in the SEC is hell for each team... so a 3-4 team conference record team in the SEC is no where close to the same in the Big 12, Pac 12, Big 10, etc.   Those four give me wins this year hid a very mediocre to bad aggy team..  The aggy win over Bama hid it more even though the Bama win later lost it's shine as the struggled with the bulk of their remaining games until last week when they beat a UGA team which might not be as strong as the media and SEC would like us to believe because of the strength of their SEC schedule.    I hope Michigan comes out and absolutely destroys UGA and Cincy gives Bama heck or pulls the upset.    The fallout is going to be glorious to read and hear....  Then whatever aggy likes to thump their chest about this year would be totally worthless and all those T-shirts and cups they printed for their Bama win will end up at Dollar Tree or Dollar General in the Bryan/Collie Station area.

    tl;dr version

    Fuck aggy and SEC mouth-breathers

Oregon has to be getting pissed off with getting their coaches poached in many sports

One may conclude that being beholden to Phil Knight and Nike ain't really that much fun.

After the win against Ohio State last week, I expect we'll see Michigan wear the blue pants regularly for the foreseeable future. It's unfortunate, because the maize pants are definitely the better look for them.

The all-whites is a better road look, too, IMO

Sideways does not mean a forward pass. That is literally the definition of lateral.

    Sideways is a fumble.

You won't find "lateral" anywhere in the NCAA Rule book. When in doubt, a pass is ruled to be forward. So, yes, "sideways" does mean forward to Big 12 officials.

    That wasn't a fumble.

Kent State broke out the powder blue jerseys for their game against NIU last month. For the rematch in the CCG they’re adding throwback helmets.

Only team that looks good in yellow hats is Green Bay.

Sark doesn't know shit about defense. He's a full time OC. he wouldn't know a defensive scheme if it hit him in the face.   he hired PK because he did well against his O in a playoff game.  thats it.

Looks like PK played a lot of Cover 3 at UW which makes me wonder why we're playing Cover 2 with two deep safeties who couldn't cover their asses with both hands.

Heard an interview with someone who knows USC and Pac-12 football.  He thought Riley would do great but then went "Not So Fast My Friends."

Said the current talent level is complete dogshit.  Everyone knew for years Helton was gone so no one went there.  Also said the S&C is even worse and the OL and DL is just awful.  Said Riley will have to actually build a culture and a program, which is something he didn't do at OU.  In fact, you can make the case they got slightly worse.  Said he thought they'd get a lot of transfers and such but winning even the Pac-12 might be 2-3 years away.

Considering Riley brought OU's S&C coach with him, that's not a good sign.

Are you talking about Texas or USC?

Might be an odd dynamic taking a backseat to DC. But he could help whip our players into shape like Dick Tommy in 2004. Or like Greg Robinson in 2013, he could slide into the DC role if Sark fires PK early in the season.

I would not be opposed to hiring that sweaty fat fuck.

Edit: And he could probably land a decent DC gig. Why go to Texas for something less?

The article said "analysts" don't have to recruit and aren't allowed to interact with players. It's basically a consulting type gig, where Fatterson can analyze film and advise the defensive coaches on personnel and scheme. Sounds like a good deal for a semi-retired guy.

His track record IS better. However, the fact that this misalignment between PK and the DB coaches was tolerated for this long is a huge red flag and could be indicative of Sarks inability to manage all three facets of the game. Once again, we'll see how this is handled during the offseason.

Sark should let PK hire his guys, minimum, this offseason IF  he believes in his scheme.

    If not, PK should go.
