From a revenue sense, sure, but those are both fun schools that really like their football. Much more engaged on an average night than a Cal or a Kansas.

You can say the same thing about K-State, Iowa State, and WVU. Tough, competitive opponents with good fan bases in college towns, but they don't really move the needle for TV or most Orangebloods. I'd much rather watch UT vs the Pac's name brands.

  2. A Big 12/Pac 12 merger or scheduling alliance is desirable provided we don't have to play Wazzu and Oregon aggy too often. Other match-ups are cool - even Utah and Colorado. It'd be fun to see us as CBS's new showcase game every week.

Just dump Gary Danielson and the broadcast will be okay.

Weren't his Florida defenses pretty good?

To CTJ's point, Charlie's UF defenses were probably good due to the "Jimmy's and the Joe's" and the SEC's predictable, vanilla offenses 14 years ago. Not Strong's X's & O's nor in-game adjustments.

LMAO, of course Gabe Cuck and texaggy would try to latch on to winners like this. They did the same comparison when Clemson won the NC with Watson.

    Bullshit, Gabe

This is absolutely correct. Well I actually wish conferences were regional for everything, but that's obviously never gonna happen in the big sports.

But it's absolutely stupid that West Virginia's women's tennis team has to fly to Austin for a conference match.

Hell, that's a vacation for those hillbillies. I'm sure they've embraced it.

I know it's Tuesday and all, but what the fuck is up with all the traffic on this thread lately? I mean, we all know nothing is going to happen, right?

The aggy thread is 500+ pages long and those bumpkins ain't changin' either.

    Good times

The PAC divisions are too weak. If the goal is parity, they’d move Texas and OU to the PAC. If it’s eyeballs, then either would work because the PAC would get a marquee game in the Central time zone every week. The question is if can the RRS survive?

Texas vs OU has simply got to be preserved. The okies will flounder without that game. Biggest mistake the Big 12 ever made was not protecting OU vs Nebraska, IMO.

not a chance in hell that BC, Wake, Rutgers and Baylor are dropped and replaced by Boise and UCF

especially Boise in the PAC 12 with TCU, BYU, and Tech as the other three new teams

and I doubt that the ACC is chomping at the bit to add UCF they would keep BC or Wake before that

    Nope

This is Kyle's wet dream, apparently. Just passed it on.

I'm sure this will get all kinds of 'feedback' from the mob that inhabits this forum. Fine, just take it down the hall to somebody who gives a shit.

You don't give a shit, but felt compelled to post on a "sip" forum, anyway.

    How aggy of you

I mean an undefeated G5 should have that shot. Boise State, UCF, Memphis and pre-P12 Utah have all played fun major bowls against big powers.

    Agree

Watching Boise St. beat OU was the most fun I've had watching a game outside of UT's big wins. The statue-of-liberty play was glorious!

Both of them will be under the microscope this fall. Hawaii doesn't have a lot to lose. We do.

At least we have upgraded our staff. Maybe significantly at some spots.

When has Hawaii ever been on the national radar let alone under the microscope?

    Seriously

A couple of days ago an aggy co-worker was saying that all of the transfers and players leaving for the NFL were doing so because they could see that the incoming freshmen were going to pass them on the depth chart, so they, as good aggy, were getting out of the way for the betterment of the team.  Because they are good aggy and would do anything for dear old aggy.  So, it's not attrition, and it won't hurt them like it will Bama and LSU.

That is the aggiest fucking thing I've read in awhile, which is saying something.

I'm sorry you've gotta work and converse with aggy. I hope he's not your boss...yeah, I know. Unlikely
