As far as shitty coaching, staying in a league that pays less with a bunch of guys that drove their last conference into the ditch doesn't trump moving to a conference that pays more and is infinitely more stable.  Mike Riley and Bill Callahan's staff would suck wherever Nebraska found themselves.  We just are getting paid more to suck.

Show me your athletic department's earnings YOY comparing your last in the Big 12 to what you're making now, corn-aggy. I'm sure most of your fans just love your craptastic "rivalries" with Iowa, Minnesota, and Illinois now, huh? You're funny.

What hurts Nebraska is not being able to take in 5th grade reading level kids anymore and getting them qualified to enroll.  Mizzu still recruits the state.

Yes, Thomas Osborne was the patron saint of partial-qualifiers and Prop 48 athletes. NU's formula back in the day was farm boys on steroids + inner-city skill players with bad grades. That formula worked well until UT and the Big 12 disallowed it.

By the way, Arkansas has been irrelevant in the SEC in 28 years and I think it is largely due to losing a recruiting footprint in Texas.

I'm sure Nebraska misses having a recruiting foot in Texas, but they claim to recruit nationally.

    I know Mizzou does.

    Don't forget Mike Price.

    Alabama[edit]

Price may be best known nationally for an off-the-field incident during his brief stint at Alabama. In December 2002, he was hired in principle to replace Dennis Franchione as the head coach of the Crimson Tide. Price was at Alabama during the 2003 spring practice, but in May his contract was rescinded shortly after news reports surfaced of Price being seen at a strip club during a trip to Pensacola, Florida, where Price was playing in a golf tournament, and he also had about $1,000 charged to his hotel room by an unknown woman staying in the room. This development came on the heels of an earlier reprimand for visiting campus-area bars and drinking into the early hours in Tuscaloosa.[7][8]

The issue is that it seems like Aranda should be in line for a much better job. He’s arguably the best DC in college football and has been for years - and he’s going to UNLV?

How many people even knew UNLV has a football team?

Let the SEC slot their teams to the bowls and then let the bowl committees choose bowl eligible teams from their contracted conferences to finalize the match-ups.

The SEC conference leaders choose their bowl assignments, the Big 12 lets their bowl partners choose in a set order from any remaining bowl-eligible teams. Under the Big 12 method, the bowl committees get to select which team they feel would be their best choice and get to promote the interests of the bowls they represent. Under the SEC model, the interests of the conference supersede the interests of the bowl committees.

But the bowls signed the contracts with the SEC and agreed to the selection methodology, so they get what they asked for.

...and now aggy can play Big 12 also-rans in the Texas and Liberty Bowls, chant SEC SEC SEC, and claim superiority without actually playing the fucking game. Whoop!

And the next season Akers added the "TEXAS" to the front of the jersey.

Take that shit off of there. Very junior college look.

Oh, we didn't wear the stripes until Earl's senior year? That's the first Longhorns uniform I remember.

    My bad

You shattered your credibility with your idiot, snowflake idea of incorporating grey, which is not even a school color, into some of the most iconic uniforms in the history of college football. You should have stopped with that one craptacular idea.

So, once again, wait until the off-season to parade your ignorance.

You got the wrong guy, dumbass. I never advocated grey or black in our uniforms.

    No need to apologize.

Sadly, they'll never top Air Force's P-40 Flying Tigers helmets from 2016

AFA has had some really cool helmets over the years, but their Thunderbirds motif is my fav.

It's not the off-season yet where idiot snowflake ideas like yours are paraded around for all to ridicule.

    Give it another month.

Texas should begin incorporating the color Gray into it's football uniforms.  The baseball and basketball teams already do, and I believe Gray and Burnt Orange look damn good together.

I think we all agree Black on the uniform would be an abomination, but a touch of Gray here and there would look dope as fuck IMHO.

    Discuss.

No to gray football uniforms, but what about pant stripes? They looked good on Earl.

Tough thing for them is that USAFA already has the best helmet that matched their look

    No doubt.

Maybe AFA should add the bolts to their sleeves and pant stripes? Didn't they have that look before?

I don't care enough to cut and paste them all, but most of the XFL unis are predictably terrible, the Dallas team in particular.

I actually kinda like the lightning bolts on the DC Defenders pants and sleeves. It'd be a good uniform template for a Chargers high school team.
