  1. The Beyma 15G40 works out to less than $10/year if your amp track record longevity continues. You could possibly have the worlds first sleeper amp. Looks like an old clapped out 80's Peavey. Plugged in, it sounds like the wrath of God....
  2. https://usspeaker.com/us speaker 4 ohm speakers-1.htm More options here. Some are significantly more than you are looking to spend.
  3. Can we try a joint custody arrangement for the stadiums? April/May/Sept in the old ballpark and June/July/Aug in the new one?
  4. So, how does it sound at home?
  5. So, own one guitar per song? I am comfortable with this plan.
  6. https://8thstreet.com/Product/Get/20305/peavey-1508-4-sps-bwx-black-widow-15-inch-2000-watt-4-ohm-speaker Listed as a PA speaker. Would it work? They have a 12% off promotion going on too
  7. Same video, just less safety equipment for the workers.
  8. To be honest, you lost me at "being casual enough to not be able to justify a new amp"..... Talkbass is usually pretty positive on the Eminence bass speakers. Looking at Sweetwater, one purchaser had the exact same amp as you and it works well/easy swap. Rated 5/5Great Speaker at a Great Price Point I recently bought one of these Eminence CA154 Legends to replace a 30+ year old Peavey 1505-DT 4 Ohm Black Widow in my mid-80s Peavey KB300 Keyboard amp. The original speaker had developed a nasty rattle when pushed with my Vox Continental organ. The new Eminence speaker was a simple swap out and used all the same screw holes. The magnet is much lighter than the original, 56 oz compared to over 14 lbs on the old one. I didn't know if that would make a tonal difference or not but I figured I'd chance it and see since the 1505-DT 4 Ohm is not one of the speakers that Peavey offers a simple re-cone kit for. I installed the Eminence Legend today which took all of 5 minutes and the amp sounds better than new. If you're unfamiliar with the KB300, it's a typical old Peavey - LOUD and a ton of low end - and this speaker handles my Vox organ through it with no problem at all - not a rattle to be heard anywhere and the full range of even my Korg SV-1 stage piano is clean and clear even when pushing the volume. For just over a hundred bucks, this is a great speaker. I might be upgrading my old GK Backline 115 with one of these soon too now that I've heard it. close by Bob McGrath from Poestenkill, NY on October 2, 2019 Music background: Keys, Bass and Guitar in local Classic Rock bands for almost 60 years
  9. Omega will generally do exactly that when they discuss what you would like to have done to it. If you can get down to Houston, the Omega Boutique in the Galleria would take solid care of you. Boutique stores are a bit more service oriented and frequently have a watchmaker onsite that you can talk to. If you decide to go independent, Little Watch Co in Houston or possibly Time Tech in Dallas https://time-tech.biz/ would be good options.
  10. Agree, Omega tends to value the history and originality of a watch more than Rolex (who will just replace everything and you will deal with it because...Rolex). With a watch that old, I would send it back to Switzerland rather than the US service center. If you live close to one of the boutique stores, you can just drop it off with them and they will handle the rest. With my last Omega service, any original parts that were replaced were returned with the watch. This is pretty cool, I would definitely do it if I were you: https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/customer-service/certificates-and-extracts
  11. Deej - aesthetics aside, do you care if it has a gloss or satin neck? It looks like the green has a gloss neck and the roadworn has a satin neck. There is also this delicious buttercream option. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PBassPMBCR--fender-player-series-precision-bass-buttercream-with-maple-fingerboard
  12. Well, looking on Reverb, the seller actually has a good reviews. It looks like G&L may have discontinued this run for 2020.
  13. If you are open to other options you can get a US made G&L Fullerton Standard for close to that price. You only have 2 color options, but I picked up one like this in white for $950. However, I would avoid the linked seller. Horrible reviews. https://reverb.com/item/29289180-g-l-fullerton-standard-lb-100-electric-bass-vintage-white https://reverb.com/item/26474032-g-l-fullerton-standard-lb-100-electric-bass-emerald-blue It sounds fantastic and plays like a dream. Was my favorite bass until the Yamaha BBP34 arrived. However, between those 2, Seafoam but I would probably change the pick guard color.

  15. Out of rep today. I didn't realize your prior post meant that you pulled the trigger on that. Sweet!
  16. If loving stripes is wrong, I don't want to be right.
  17. Team Yellow Stripes.
  18. Reverb ad: Mint condition, never left my home studio, all case candy included, plastic still on the pick guard.......
  19. Me: I just got a new bass. I really don’t need anything. Also me:
  20. Anyone tried these yet? Pricey but could be just the thing for around the house. Sweetwater rep says their next preorder shipment is sold out and they expect more in March or so. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/WazaAir--boss-waza-air-wireless-guitar-headphone-amp
  21. So, is this like the old Netflix business model where we have a que and when we send the current guitar in we receive the next one on the list? What is the subscription fee? I’m in.
  22. Is anyone else using the Forks Over Knives meal plan? I just moved to plant based this year and it takes a lot of the guess work out of meal planning and shopping. It seems to have a good variety of options so far and the food is tasty (although I frequently bump up the seasoning). Even my family (not plant based) has enjoyed them as side dishes to their main meal.

  25. Glad you started this. I've been experimenting with some of the instant pot recipes from their book and online. I have also found several of the Gamechangers recipes to be solid. https://gamechangersmovie.com/recipes/mexican-lentil-soup/ https://gamechangersmovie.com/recipes/mexican-garbanzo-salad/ This one is good but way under seasoned. I doubled the balsamic vinegar and added some salt to the veggies as they were being sautéed. https://recipes.instantpot.com/recipe/ratatouille-with-black-olives-and-quinoa/
