  1. Yeah, the cost of the Smarties and Bit o’ Honey is certainly higher than Costco, but I appreciate the toy prize they included in the package.
  2. Going forward, I am blocking all calls from Ft.Wayne, Indiana. Roasted Maple necks are the bomb though.
  3. I can see that. I think Fender did a signature bass for Mark Hoppus a while back that was a Jazz body with a Pbass pickup. Not sure what neck they used for it though.
  4. I have some sock puppets, styrofoam balls and a few pipe cleaners to walk you through the process.
  5. He did Good Eats: Reloaded last year. It was basically an old episode that he would pop in and voice over a tweak to prior recipe. It was an appetizer (pun intended) to the new Good Eats episodes coming out now. He does make things complicated sometimes, but every recipe of his that I have tried has come out pretty awesome. I am in for the new show.
  6. Wow. That doesn't suck. Not one bit. Paging Gordeho to the white courtesy phone. You are on deck.
  7. It's Friday. Is it here yet? If you could post the tracking number for us, I think we would all appreciate it. TIA
  8. https://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/fender-limited-edition-american-professional-telecaster-with-rosewood-neck They list an open box one for $1159.99. With your discount, that would bring it to about a grand... I looked at the bass version and it was really nice. The neck felt fantastic.
  9. I'm still here. I've been playing 3 months. Just started trying to butcher My Girl and Sir Duke this week. That thing is ridiculous. I have a thing for natural finish and maple necks. I couldn't resist picking up a G&L Fullerton Standard last week. I can barely play the Fender I posted above, but found a killer deal and I have impulse control issues.
  10. They are pretty easy to work on. https://www.quadratec.com/categories/jeep_electrical/ignition_system/ignition-cylinder-locks https://www.quadratec.com/categories/jeep_electrical/ignition_system/ignition-switches
  11. I think it is totally salvageable. Fix the ignition switch yourself. The parts including a new key are pretty cheap. There are a several YouTube videos on it. Assuming it then runs, change all the fluids. Patch the soft top for now, you could easily replace it later. Assuming everything runs well and you still like the Jeep, strip the interior yourself and get it painted and the wheels refinished down the road. It was a POS before, now is your opportunity to bring the phoenix out of the ashes. Or maybe see that Spicoli guy. His old man is a TV repairman and has an ultimate set of tools. He can fix it.
  12. The items in that store....good grief
  13. Attempting to move on from JB... I know this is a guitar centric group, but any bass players here? I just took it up 3 months ago. Having fun so far.
  14. Standard CL response: I see some dings in the headstock and the fretboard looks worn. Case has quite a bit of damage. Straight up trade for a 1987 Charvel with gig bag? Red 80's rock machine with serious mojo.
  15. https://kochleather.com/collections/accessories/products/adjustable-horween-leather-guitar-strap-for-acoustic-or-electric-guitar This guy makes the straps for Larrivee. If you wanted one a bit longer, email him and he will make what you need. Solid guy and Horween is top notch leather.
