  1. Other stupid noob question - do tickets to the game automatically admit you into the fair?
  2. I assume food coupons here will work for beer? https://www.etix.com/ticket/p/5293305/foodride-coupons-dallas-state-fair-of-texas?partner_id=1385
  3. Went to One Fifth last night and thought it was excellent. We didn't have the gumbo, but the jambalaya was top notch. Hush puppies and boudin balls were also memorable. It wasn't full, which was a little surprising for a Thursday night, but we'll be going back.
  4. Happily living in Houston the rest of my life. Annual flooding > scooter trash everywhere everyday
  5. I got all 8, so all of that was stress for nothing. Thanks again for everybody's help. Super pumped.
  6. Appreciate all the help, although it sounds like I should know soon. I just reached out to my uncle. And shameless but I feel like I have to say it...if you guys are looking to unload even 2 tickets I’d be happy to take them off your hands.
  7. They told him it would be September for the allocation of OU tickets. How many are you typically allowed to request?
  8. Questions for the experts in this thread. I’m organizing my bachelor party for OU (my dad is best man so he’s sitting it out). I need 8 tickets. My uncle has 2 season tickets and has had him for at least 20 years. He has requested 8 tickets to the game, but neither he nor I have any idea if that guarantees me any amount of tickets. What should I expect? Should I focus on the secondary market...and if so, when is the right time to buy? They are like $400/ticket right now just to get in the stadium once you add in the fees. Thanks in advance to anyone who can give me some direction.
  9. Looking for 4 tickets on the Texas side.
  10. I graduated from Trinity in '07. Loved it. It is expensive but I had some scholarship money and some financial aid....still had $35k of student loans when I graduated that I paid off as soon as I could after I graduated. To state the obvious, it is a totally different type of school than UT. There is effectively one college bar (Bays) and the rest of the social scene is small local frat/sorority life, which was actually a ton of fun if that's your thing (although to be clear - the greek life is on a totally smaller scale than what you would expect at UT). There was a moment after my freshman year I contemplated transferring to UT, but at that point I had already made a bunch of new friends and was enjoying the school...and Austin is only an hour away. I'm in Houston now and I wish Trinity had a bigger network in the business community, so that's probably my biggest beef with the school even though that's just the nature of a small school. I feel like the school's reputation continues to get stronger only because UT and A&M are becoming increasingly more difficult to get into.
