I understand the need for limits on avatar size, but an exception should be made for UnivTex34, right? I usually stop and watch it for 3-4 loops everytime I see it.

a really grandiose and incredible WW1 movie is so very long overdue.

Funny you mentioned that. I teach AP World History and AP European History and every year around this time I go on a rant about how there are no good WWI movies. We get plenty of WWII epics, but nothing from WWI, even though it is arguably more important from a world history perspective. My argument is that WWII has a built-in "Good Guy, Bad Guy" narrative. Everyone agrees that Nazis are bad (at least most people, no CR), but WWI is so much messier and doesn't lend itself to a simple movie narrative.

  3. Have you looked at the Khan Academy SAT prep? They partnered with the College Board to create it. I use it with my own students when prepping for the PSAT and it's been real helpful. It's a free option that works just as well, if not better, than some prep courses.

With two boys in the house, my wife often says, "Why are y'all screaming?" She rolls her eye when I answer with that line, but deep down, she loves it.

And, of course, you have the prospect of the client not following your advice, which, as a lawyer sucks, but makes you a ton of money most of the time.

It will make you a ton of money if your client pays you. That's not guaranteed (or  likely) with DOTUS.

Got tickets for Thursday night at the Alamo, hope they'll have some cool stuff to go along with it.

I enjoyed the book, and like others said, I'm expecting to be entertained and not enlightened.  My 10yo, however, is obsessed with the book and is in a state of frenzied anticipation, as though the Rapture is coming.

My kid is the same way. We got our tickets last week and he was shocked that there were tickets available for opening night. He assumes everyone is as excited as he is.
