Clearly, he doesn't care about teachers because if he did, he would stop holding funding hostage to please some West Texas theocrats. But honestly, I would forgive the lack of a pay raise if he promised to stop promoting policies that hurt my students of color, my LGBTQ+ students, my non-Christian students, oh, and also my female students. If you add all of those groups up, they comprise about 95% of the students in my classroom. So fuck you, Greg Abbott, for demonizing 95% of my students, who I love like my own kids, and then turn around and use me as a political prop for a goddamn tweet.

I spent a lot of time in SLC for work, but that was all before Covid, so I don't know what's changed. There are surprisingly some really nice breweries downtown. The Beer Hive is a great beer bar. Just pay attention to the idiotic alcohol laws there. Bottled beer can be any ABV, but draft has to be below 3% (or somewhere around there).
Lots of nice hiking trails close to the city. Ensign Peak is a nice one and it's a five-minute Uber drive away from downtown.
Park City is a beautiful area.

As long as you don’t mind associating with people who call black folk monkeys
Icono and The Deacon don't mind it all.

The SEC and southern schools are getting better. The states are growing. And the schools are attractive due to weather, better looking women, sports, and happier students with less screeching weirdos with purple hair and pierced septums. There are all sorts of articles discussing how applications to southern schools have been exploding. Them staying more open and having less restrictions during Covid was another factor.
You think high schoolers are choosing where to go to college based on which states had fewer Covid protections? That's asinine.

Exactly. CHIEF Jr., being an engineer, would probably have some intel tendencies if we let him. One rule we set after graduation is that he was not to work from home. He needed to be in an office setting, and go in daily to interact face to face with people. Sit across from people and solve problems. That is how the real world works. He is not a sharp dresser until he needs or wants to be. That shit had to stop. Go into the office dressed nice, properly groomed, and with a good attitude. That is the way young adults are supposed to learn to be on time, meet deadlines, build comradery and maturity. Working from home is for those old and mature enough to manage their time and stay on schedule. The office is also where you meet women, not necessarily one for a romantic relationship, but many want to hook up a friend, niece, daughter, or granddaughter with a successful young man that is sharp, educated, dresses nice, and is groomed properly.
So far all of this has worked. One of my son's graduation presents was that we would pay for Lasik anytime he wanted it. He gets it next Thursday, along with an "old school" barbershop trip. He has a standing appointment every three weeks, his hair grows like crazy. We have a wedding reception for one of his friends, his wife is gorgeous, as are most of her friends. He wants to look good to "shoot his shot".

A rule after graduation?

Only one sitcom has Starburns. Therefore, I'm choosing Community.

Derka is legitimately mentally ill. That's the only explanation of why he would keep doing all of this in this manner day after day, year after year. He flat out can't stop himself.
Telling him to put someone on ignore or to leave is invalid because the dude mentally and emotionally is incapable of doing it. He's incapable of moderating himself.
I don't know if the dude was mentally stable before in his youth but if he was the internet completely broke him. I feel bad for his mom as she has to feel completely helpless as to why her son is letting a stupid Internet slap fight ruin his life.
Also was Bob the site owner when it was shaggybevo and Rick became site owner when shaggy got sued out of existence?
Way to crack the case, Sherlock.

I really want to say that Arrested Development is the GOAT sitcom. The first three seasons really are funnier than any three-season stretch of any show ever. But the newer seasons were absolutely awful and Lobo is right that three seasons just can't compete with 7 seasons of Veep or 12 seasons of Curb.

Are we seriously still arguing about face masks and tents? We all agree that restrictions on tents on the South Mall or masks while protesting are reasonable. OK, so fine anyone who has a tent or who is wearing a mask. Write them a ticket and let them know that if it happens again tomorrow, there will be another fine. It's not hard. Any LEO can do it. You don't need to send in the SWAT team for someone who wore a mask while pitching a tent.

Yup cruise departed Valparaiso on Jan 20 and ended Buenos Aires on Feb 05. The 20' seas are no problem on a ship that big. There was some movement on the boat but nothing bad. No one in our group got seasick.
I would hope not with your user name and all.

“I had a girlfriend who is Jewish”. This phrasing should be used more often when the topic is sensitive and the adjective is not in person forward language. E.g. I have a “patient with obesity” rather than “the obese patient.”
Does this mean I can't saw "jewbies" anymore? Should I say "breasts of Jewish heritage"?

I'm really surprised by how many people loved the finale. I thought it was really rushed. I understand the problem of trying to cram this story into ten episodes, but it really distracted from the ending. Overall, still an incredible series and one I will definitely re-watch a couple of times.

I'm thinking about the teachers in my hallway and which ones I would trust to handle a firearm in a crisis. And the answer is none of them.
But on the positive side, I bet if I start flashing my piece, more students will turn in their homework.

Claiming that a plus for Reno is it's only 90 minutes from Sacramento is definitely an opinion.
I have spent way too much time in Sacramento for work over the years. The food scene there is very properly rated, in that it is terrible and everyone is aware of it.

You wonder if any of the right-leaning jurors in this trial and Trump's upcoming ones are keenly aware of the instant stardom and potential financial benefits they'd receive from right wing media for being "the hung juror".
That was going to be the name of my erotic John Grisham fan fic.

I have figured out the solution to all of the world's problems. @TKthunder2 will go on radio, television, and the internet and explain female fertility to all listeners. Yes, a man will explain the female reproductive system to everyone, including women. Anyone see any problems with this?

Well sure, but I'm just hoping for anything at this point. Hey Greg, let's start with a bottle of bourbon for every teacher and stop politicizing which bathroom a kid uses at school. After that we can discuss next steps.
