  1. The onside kick gave them 7 points they wouldn't have got with the extra possession and we missed out on a possession and 7 points (3 at worse) from a short field. Thus 24-10 at half instead of 17-17.
  2. Was able to watch the highlights this morning. Feels like that onside was a wolid 14 point swing. 24-10 at half wouldn't have been a stretch imo.
  3. With the possibility we move to the SEC next year it is imperative that we beat these B12 schools so they don't have eternal scoreboard once we have left. First on the list and most important is Tech, the last thing we need is forever talking about how they beat us on the way out. Lets roll them and leave them to suffer in the new Big 12.
  4. Van Dyke was definitely the better QB in the game. Play calling got whack in the red zone and gave the aggies an easy out most drives. But the WRs for Miami are the reap JAGs they created no separation and made 0 plays all night.
  5. Just an ugly game all around. Miami and their play calling didn't deserve to win but man that muffed punt was the only difference. Without that 12-10 would have been the final. Both teams suck from what I can tell
  6. I know this is satire but they run on 1st and 2nd 90% of the time. That's why he only throws about 15 times a game. Weird to not let him rip 40 times a night
  7. Looks like this jimbo saw the sign he was looking for.
  8. Oh I will be watching that game too but free college football is hard to pass up but I am going down to Austin later this year to even it out. I really think this game is huge for a&m but it definitely isn't for Jimbo. His money is made and his resume is as good as it will ever be but a&m cant afford for him to implode the program like he did FSU. If they lose this weekend before going on a pretty tough 5 week stretch then they are squarely in the 4-8 or worse territory. 4-8 in year 5 would be pretty detrimental to a historic recruiting class and the following class as well.
  9. Sorry for the early start on this thread but this game has some big implications for all involved but personally this matchup was the first college football game I ever attended with a Jr High group in 2008. I had already hated a&m for as long as I remembered but seeing them get demolished in their own stadium was better than I could imagine. To boot I will also be at this game after being invited by some season ticket holders who made me swear I would not actively cheer against them. To combat this I will wear my new App State shirt under my shirt and debut it sometime in the second half if Miami can manage to go up big. Enjoy
  10. The aggies are in a unfamiliar situation this week because this may be the first time they have ever been in a true must win game with all the pressure on them. They've never been embarrassed like that and been the talk of the national media all week. When they've wok big games at home they're usually underdogs with zero pressure and occasionally knock off a big team. If they want to be a national brand and all that comes with it then they have to win or they'll get laughed at all week again and fade back into irrelevance. Last year against Bama they had nothing to lose and played loose. My money is on the aggies living up their history and falling short when it matters the most.
  11. Good teams win and great teams cover. If we can win by 14+ with a second or third string QB then I'll feel great about Sark and his vision of this program.
  12. So Haynes knows the system inside and out but still cant do anything? Man Johnson must really suck.
  13. As excited as we are for Neyor to come back next year there is a zero percent chance that the likes of Stewart would be scared off by the freshman, Hall, or a recovering Neyor. The coaching staff also seems like they are intent on bringing in as much talent as possible in rooms that aren't already stacked like the QB, RB, and OL room
  14. What if I told you it was liked by Anthony Hill?
  15. He was on the field as well. He isnt allowed to have a headset so on field is the only way he can communicate with coaches
  16. Not sure they have a chance with how last years class went down. Jimbo used every public opportunity to say that he had zero idea about NIL or bags for that matter that may or may not have been dropped. He was creating an out in case anything every went down and I have zero doubt he would take the whole ship down with him if it were to come to him being fired for cause.
  17. The difference this year vs last with the Bama game is they are fresh off of disappointment and are obviously at odds in the coaching staff and locker room. Had they had a tune up post the app state before playing Miami I would tend to agree with you. They are being asked to improve drastically after being embarrassed at home and are filled to the brim with distractions and it is only Wednesday. I went back and looked at some of the bigger upsets of all time and most teams that lost to an unranked G5 team were able to play a bottom dweller to get right. The week after Michigan lost to App State in 07 they were embarrassed at home against Oregon before they were Oregon. That Michigan team ended up being better than I remember and even knocked off a couple top 10 teams. Point being is that it would take a lot for a&m to just waltz in against Miami and win without all of the distractions they are currently dealing with.
  18. Not sure we lost anybody that mattered. Their issue will be losing the people they need to keep around like Marshall and the d line commits. If it really implodes I see a scenario where Weigman bounces or goes to play baseball and they end up with Max Johnson as QB1 next year.
  19. He was pretty hard on him on the local ETX news last week about the 2 picks in the Sam game. Bet he is also just as critical on Jimbo behind closed doors.
  20. And Card left us on the 2, 15, 6, and 31 on his sustained drives and was 1-9 on 3rd downs (that 1 was a Bijan run). Then he had 4 three and outs which kept letting Alabama stick around. He was good enough to keep it close but QE converts on at least one of those and adds 4 to the board at a minimum.
  21. He runs a memorabilia company and had players come do signing events. Seems like a solid reason to have sources so it's worth a data point.
  22. Heard it was mono or something along those lines. It'll take awhile for him to be back full force regardless.
  23. That's what I was saying or was trying to say. Any QB that is above average or better can and likely will beat them
  24. And LOL at the "best fans in the world" narrative they have going
