  1. A rebuilding year is completely inexcusable. We’re in year 5 and have brought in the most talent the program has seen outside of 2000-2002. And considering the access to the transfer portal, there’s no reason why we should ever have a “rebuilding year” that is below 9 wins. We are staring down the barrel of 5-7. Im sure we find a way and get to 7-5 but considering the expectations of where this team was and the hype around them, that has to call into question the leadership and decision making process at the top level of the team. Anyone justifying the performance and horrid outcome of the season chalking it up to youth and inexperience is missing a much larger point of what was being done to avoid that possibility over the last 5 seasons.
  2. If we go 7-5 or worse this season, what would need to happen in order for Sark to get canned next year. Bc no matter what happens this year even if they lost every game, he’s not going anywhere.
  3. Posted this in another thread but Aside from Brandon Baker (who was ranked in the top 40 in his class), the next highest-rated recruit we’ve landed on the OL over the last 4 seasons was Jaydon Chatman at 214 looking at On3 composite. I understand OL ranking is not perfect, but the rankings have to be trusted somewhat. Also, as a team we’ve ranked as one of the worst in penalties per game the last 3 years and its primarily from the o line. Him and banks need to be fired next week if there isn’t a miraculous overnight improvement (which there won’t be).
  4. I got some heat from my Jeff Banks needs to go thread from earlier in the season saying I was going full TexAgs but doesn’t seem so stupid now. We’re 5 years in, we know what we need to know about these guys.
  5. I thought having the most continuity in the country for a coaching staff was going to be an advantage for this team this season and why I was so high on them, on top of all the talent on the roster, but boy was I wrong. It’s on me for overlooking the obvious: 1. Flood has recruited like shit at O-Line We’ve made excuses for it ad nauseam the last 3 years because of the 22 class. This dude has taken nothing but fat losers and 1 good decent every year. Those chubby chickens are coming home to roost now. Aside from Brandon Baker (who was ranked in the top 40 in his class), the next highest-rated recruit we’ve landed on the OL over the last 4 seasons was Jaydon Chatman at 214 looking at On3 composite. I understand OL ranking is not perfect, but the rankings have to be trusted somewhat. All you need to do is look at our 22 class for proof of that with where DJ and Banks were ranked. There is talent we are passing over and it’s killing us now. Not to mention, backbreaking, drive-killing penalties. More on that later. 2. Banks has let the special teams unit regress year after year We saw it last year with the FG kicking situation and trotting a punter out there that was lucky to get it 30 yards downfield. I mean, we basically hold our breath every time special teams hits the field now, just hoping they don’t fuck up. A good play for them is pretty much just catching a punt—which we can’t even seem to do now since they just let them roll past them for an extra 15 yards every time. I can’t find stats on this, but I can almost guarantee we have more roughing the kicker/running into the kicker penalties in the last 4 years than we do blocked punts. 2021 was an anomaly and we just need to see it as that now. We have blocked fewer punts year over year since 2021. We have consistently had poor field position due to bad decisions on KO and punt returns. Looking at the stats, I think we have 1 return over 30 yards on KO in the last 2 seasons. We’ve got the dude giving out scholarships to long snappers out of high school and his unit is doodooing all over itself like the monkey he’s got caged up at his house. 3. Quarterbacks have not been getting better We saw it with Quinn and blamed him. Now it seems to be more like a systemic issue. The longer these guys are here, the worse they’re getting. Who’s to blame—Sark, Milwee, the boogeyman, Russia? I don’t know. 4. Motherfucking penalties These have been here since the beginning. I don’t know why I thought they’d suddenly go away now. As people have stated before, this is a feature of this team, not a bug. It starts with the O-Line, and now it feels like a virus infecting the rest of the team. Since 2021, this team has racked up more penalties per game each season and has never been better than 55th in the country in penalties per game: 2021 – 55th 2022 – 66th 2023 – 98th 2024 – 87th (but bottom 5 in total penalties) 2025 – 128th (and will probably be bottom 3 after this week) 5. Red Zone Offense Before today we were 110th in red zone conversions. Last year 101st. 2023, 90th. We knew this issue the last 2 seasons and I’m not convinced it’s getting fixed this year either Just like me after I had a few too many at Maggie Mae’s in college — we can’t finish. It’s becoming clear that this is the identity of these units and the team as a whole. Something needs to change or else things will continue to unravel at an uncomfortable speed. We thought we could lean on our defense this season to carry water for a young and volatile offense, but that premise was shattered into a million pieces today by Simple Sunbelt Billy Napier. Now we have to ask ourselves: what does this team do well? On offense, I can’t name one thing right now. Defense will probably bounce back, but this team has no margin for error moving forward now.
  6. In what world does this team win out lol. Are any of yall watching the games? This team is TERRIBLE. what do they do well? Name something. It’s impossible on the offensive side. We thought we could rely on our defense and we just let a one legged quarterback do whatever he wanted and we let them run down our throats all game. Special teams is and always has been a total joke under Banks so nothings changing there.
  7. How on earth can any of you come away from that game and not be on the fucking floor with your expectations for this team. That was as bad of an outcome and performance as we could have possibly had considering we just let to a guy whose own fans accurately assessed having a room temp IQ beat us. I mean it was clear as day even in the game with how he was trying to gift us opportunities to get back into it and we couldn’t do it. They weren’t healthy at all and They DOMINATED us on both lines, their receivers dominated us, if they didn’t have Billy at the helm they could’ve hung 40 on us. We will be lucky to win 3 more games this year. This team is BAD. Horrendous. Whatever descriptor you want to assign, they are that. We’ve somehow regressed back to 2021 level. We have no running game. Non existent o line. Terrible QB. We thought we had a world class defense and they got absolutely manhandled. Program is legitimately sliding backwards at light speed.
  8. Alright let’s get serious with the fire Jeff banks and fire Kyle flood threads now please
  9. I mean, he’s right lol. Their schedule is incredibly easy and they play a bunch of dead man walking teams. Arky has completely quit and Florida will probably be in the same boat. Scar is also a shell of what they were last year. LSU is another paper tiger as we saw from today’s game.
  10. Utah state scored more than double the points Auburn has
  11. Punt it lol. Defense has a better chance to score than Jackson Arnold at this point
  12. I mean we all know Jackson is taking 2-3 sacks here on this series after going deer in the headlights against a 3-4 man rush
  13. I texas were playing like Auburn has the last few weeks I’d legit be suicidal. Sloppy, undisciplined, stupid, so many things bad about them
  14. I wish we played Auburn this year. Just a free win on anyone’s schedule right now. This team is horrid
  15. A&M has the biggest paper tiger schedule so far. All of these teams are terrible. Auburn is legit 7-5 team in the making. Jackson Arnold and the combo of that idiot Hugh freeze are about as bad of a pairing you could ever get
  16. This is such an odd feeling and one I’ve never experienced as a fan of any team. Maybe the closest is the 2010 season because I was a kid and all I knew up to that point was Texas winning. Never watched a game and thought losing was a possibility (except against OU)and I figured that’s how it always would be. Then 2010 happened and it rocked my world. Since then, I was beaten into submission to understand that the world I lived in from 2004-2009 was not a given and it would be tough sledding and anytime I built up hope (2016 ND game, 2019 sugar bowl, 2021 when we started off hot and were up 3 scores against OU), it was quickly flushed down the toilet. This was the first year I’ve built up what felt like legitimate hopeful expectations because it finally made sense. Never in a million years could I have expected Arch to look like this and i keep coming back here each day almost expecting an update that he was just low on battery and they charged him up and now things are back to normal. I imagine everyone else is in the same boat because of the panicked tone in everyone’s posts. I am now fully expecting a Doodoo bowl game against SHSU where we don’t cover and arch looks maybe a hair better than last week and just good enough to keep the job going into Florida but not enough to inspire any confidence is us and from there, well we might just be fucked. Everything I’ve thought to this point has been wrong so we’ll see if that continues.
  17. Well, how bout all 3 at the same time lol
  18. Why would we retool the game plan when literally most of the plays are there if just an average QB is behind center? These aren’t other worldly throws needed. Arch can’t even throw 5-10 yard outs or screen passes behind the LOS. Why would we purposely anchor ourselves to a lower caliber of offense because the kid can’t make routine plays or throws? I think we can all agree that Caldwell or someone else on the team can probably make those throws. We need to give arch one more week to see if there’s any noticeable improvement physically and mentally but if not, then we need to move onto the next guy ASAP. This team is built to win now and Arch’s play completely eliminates any chance of that. I usually shit on Sarks playcalling but this season you can see the open guys clear as day without even needing the all 22 view. It’s been the theme since the first throw of the season where he skipped it to Wingo. Just that on repeat for 3 straight weeks but getting worse.
  19. And I’m fine with Sarks play calling for these games. These are about execution since we can simply choke out teams of this caliber with our defense. If our guys can’t beat their guys with their execution then we’re just fucked. No need to get crazy with the gameplan and scripts against these Doodoo teams when we can win with one hand tied behind our backs, which it feels like we literally have been with the QB play.
  20. I still can’t believe this is happening. The game before when Caldwell came in for a few drives and threw some passes it was like a revelation since we haven’t even been able to complete EASY passes this year. Just simple slants. Stuff you take for granted but damn, we literally couldn’t complete anything yesterday. If it looks anything like that again next game, there is no choice left but to move on from Arch immediately. That sucks to think and say but that performance yesterday was Garrett Gilbert getting booed off the field level or Swoopes against Arkansas like someone said earlier. Average QB play gets this team to 9 wins by default with the defense. Good Play, 10+ wins and a potential deep run in the playoff. Great play, championship easy. Right now we’re seeing something worse than below average play. I like blaming sark about everything when I can but the plays have literally been there all season and arch can’t hit a single one. People complained about leaning on the run game early yesterday and not letting arch throw more but fuck, then everyone saw what happened when he did that. You think that getting the running game going early would build some confidence in him that he doesn’t need to press and do everything himself and somehow he was worse! This offense needs an identity and needs to find what it is with arch back there and it seems like sark is exhausting all the options but we’re getting close to the end of them. Maybe we just lean on running him like Notre Dame with Leonard last year. SH is a BAD team, if he can’t put up 250+ yards and above 60% completion through 3 quarters then get Caldwell ready to go for Florida

    A&M at ND

Both of those teams are dogshit and Marcus freeman is a loser that lucked into the championship game last year. Guy is not a good coach and never has been

    Notre dame is dogshit
  23. Let the backup QBs get some snaps, fuck
  24. Take him out. You can’t leave him in any longer or else we may actually lose this game
  25. This really does feel just like Garrett Gilbert the game he got booed off the field
