  2. USC guy (they're one of the finalists, but behind Alabama/A&M/Texas, per 247 ... )
  3. When I saw the " ... or did it?", it reminded me of
  4. Good, long-ish article from Jordan Scruggs (Horns 247) in the spoilered portion below. Posting key excerpts the top, so that you can quickly get back to your weight room hot takes. MICHAEL TERRY: On the same note though, I still view the Longhorns as the team I expect to win this recruitment and so does the source close to Terry. MADDEN FARAIMO: ... sources lean towards Texas when asked where they think the Top247 prospect will end up if the decision isn't for Notre Dame. A source believes Faraimo would find himself comfortable playing and living in Austin with the other polynesian players on the Longhorns' roster, but continues to maintain it will be an uphill battle vs. Notre Dame. NATHANIEL OWUSU-BOATENG: Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng is in talks with the Longhorns to set up an official visit in the fall " ... It's the best ball. I plan on going on an OV to Texas. It is not confirmed yet, but it's being talked about." NICK TOWNSEND: The other Spring Dekaney Wildcat, Top247 ATH Nick Townsend, is a prospect Horns247 continues to feel good about ending up in the Longhorns' 2025 class with Townsend set to come off the board on Monday. ANDREW MARSH: At this point in time Horns247 isn't expecting Marsh to end up in the class, but he's certainly a guy we will be keeping tabs on if receiver dominoes don't fall Texas' way over the next two months. HINES: Regardless, I currently lean USC for the Houston area pass catcher. MCCUTCHEON: McCutcheon commits on Saturday and if he called Texas and tried to commit I don't think the Longhorns would necessarily tell him no. JOHNSON: Johnson's commitment date is TBD but he's also a guy I don't see Texas saying no to either if he wanted to hop in the boat, especially because it seems as if the Longhorns are pushing the hardest for him compared to Hines or McCutcheon. Wednesday night recruiting notes Scattershooting a bevy of recruiting notes collected from the past few days. Jordan Scruggs (Horns 247)
  5. If - heaven forbid - that happened, would that really be irrational?
  6. Lulz. Scruggs throwing some nice shade at A&M, re: Fasusi. (This is in response to a question about Fasusi's tweet.
  7. He takes his Level 1 source below to lunch practically every day, and even bought him those sneakers. (Not sure about the flower bouquet ... )
  8. (Around 4:30 PM, apparently.)
  9. If I may be so rude as to interrupt w/ a tweet about an updated commitment date/time for a guy who is now an important target, whether primary or backup:
  10. Kade Phillips to Texas! https://247sports.com/player/kade-phillips-46131783/
  11. Good news, people!! It's NOT Oklahoma (or A&M) ... and therefore -
  12. Texas Recruiting Notes 2025: Incompetence and bizarre shit coming from Belmont
  13. What are the chances for Texas football and its other 5-star WR targets after Dakorien Moore to Oregon Hank South (Horns 247) (Spoilers - Ffrench will announce a decision on Aug. 30 between Texas, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, and Tennessee. My Crystal Ball prediction is in on the Longhorns. Percentage chances Ffrench ends up at Texas: 60 percent Percentage chances Lockett ends up at Texas: 70 percent)
  14. In this little saga, let’s not forget Nahlin’s shining moment yesterday … lulz.
  15. If we did offer more, and he still chose Oregon, yeah, there’s aspects of that that would make me feel better. - I remember reading (may have been quotes from Moore) that no staff did a better job than Oregon’s. It happens, as long as it doesn’t happen too often. (I don’t think that was the case with the other recruitments we lost to them.) And there may be things Sark learns from the experience. - Or, more likely - given all of strengths we bring to bear in a recruitment of a receiver (Sark/offense/Arch/NIL, etc.), this guy may simply have wanted to go far away and do his own thing. Either way, get Ff and Lockett, and we’ll have a pretty insane WR position group.
  16. Given the deletion of the Thamel tweet, I bet this guy was involved.
  17. Look at the … Hank South (Horns 247) Sonny Shipp (LSU 247)
  18. Lulz … Tom Loy (247), Oregon 247, few minutes ago “Just talked to someone that expressed that Texas is CHARGING right now. They are making this really difficult on Moore. He’s got a lot of love for the Longhorns and Ducks, so this has been a battle. Oregon felt great last night. They are more nervous than excited right now. This one is getting very interesting.” SHORTLY AFTER THAT “All I’m going to say, if it’s not Oregon, something changed drastically since last night.”
  19. Ha ha ha … this guy. Seriously. Hank South (Horns 247) “With that, I'm changing my Crystal Ball prediction to from confidence level 6 to confidence level 1, keeping it on Texas. I've debated switching it to Oregon all together, but I'm giving Texas some benefit of the doubt to try change the momentum ahead of 8 p.m. CT. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but want to prepare you for this, and I'm getting very little optimism on the Texas side when speaking with sources, which is a major sea change. Oregon meanwhile feels confident, per sources.”
  20. Is the family bbq he is announcing at, in Austin? So … many from this group, decked out in green and puke, and quacking like ducks? That would be pretty diabolical.
