  1. - QB Husan Longstreet committed to the Aggies - On the negative side, that means Auburn - who was after Longstreet - will continue to pursue Lacey - On the positive side, A&M getting Longstreet should help us sell Russell on coming in as a second QB Here's a note from Auburn 247, on their QB recruiting (post Longstreet's commitment) Resetting Auburn's QB recruiting board Christian Clemente (Auburn 247)
  2. And here it is - the coaching change version of "Advantage Aggy!"
  3. Lulz. Bobby and Gerry are goofy giddy and humping each other, over the Barnes commitment. I'm sure Happy Hour has begun for them. :-)) - allusions to "selecting" and the Mack-era ("I don't want to say back to the Mack-era but ... Sark's way works better in this age" ) - Gerry loves all three of the defensive commits we have up to this point - he then throws in this nugget "before he retired, Saban rated Barnes among the top 3 ILBs in the country" 🙂

  5. (Good reference list - by week, through the June OV weekends. @Elmer_Fudd - the two kids you referenced, Phillips and Anding, are OVing June 21-21.) ********************************************************************************************************* Visitor list for this weekend, April through June Jordan Scruggs (Horns 247) The Texas Longhorns have a busy month of April ahead of them as they're set to welcome in dozens of Top247 prospects across several recruiting events that are coming up. Those visits include another event on campus this Saturday Apr. 13, the annual Orange and White spring game on Apr. 20, and all the other visits in between like tomorrow as Texas is expected to welcome a handful of prospects to campus on Thursday. That said, here's our running list of visitors for the month of April, as well as another look into Texas is set to host in June for official visits. 6. Caught some of the discussions between Collin Kennedy (OU 247) and Jordan Scruggs (Horns 247). Mostly Collin giving his perspective on Tx/OU recruiting battles. **************************************************************************************************** - OU class numbers - 22/23 takes; expect 2 more today? (Edit Michael Hawkins committed). - Michael Fasusi: Kennedy - close to putting in a CB for Texas. Should be Texas barring change. Right now, OU pretty solidly behind Texas. (Jordan Scruggs said he agreed.) - Cobey Sellers: Kennedy - OU comfortable leader, Aggies pushing, decision July. OU last official. - Courtland Guillory: Scruggs - has a Texas CB, still thinks Texas, but OU may be current leader. Huh. Kennedy - OU suddenly in a really good spot, in play for OU. OU may be at the top. - Michael Hawkins: Kennedy - OU may get him today. (Edit: They did.) - Ty Haywood: Sounds like OU is way ahead of Texas. - Lamont Rogers: Kennedy - Texas made up serious ground ("they had serious ground to make up, that we cannot divulge"), good buds with Fasusi. Business degree very important. NIL. Chris Gilbert - ton of credit. OU in a big fight with Texas, Aggies, Mizzou. Texas vs OU - one rising, one falling. Scruggs - believes Texas vs Aggies, Mizzou 3rd. Flood tells Rogers he (Flood) is not leaving any time soon, Lamont believes that. And that's very important for Lamont and family. Taking several unofficials. Rogers coming to Texas June 14-16, for official. Note - this is his last official. Commitment before end of July, maybe end of June. Lots of things lining up for Texas. Chris Gilbert huge factor, and should get primary credit, if Texas lands him. (FYI - Haywood and Fasusi are 5 stars, Rogers is a high 4 star (#45 overall).)
  7. (Jordan Scruggs - Horns 247.) Matai Tagoa'i committed to USC a week ago, and canceled his 6/21 OV to Texas. Interesting comments at the Dallas OT7 event.
  8. Reminded me of this hilarious tweet, a couple of months after Russia invaded Ukraine.
  9. CB Cobey Sellers visited. Here's a 247 article, with some interesting comments on practice. In particular, the ones on our offense. Coming from a DB recruit on an unofficial visit, I thought they were positive and authentic. (Posted the comments on practice, in the FB board practice thread; here's a snippet, and the complete article after that.) "First of all the offense is great, second to none. Usually the defense is what clicks early in practices but the offense is what really stood out to me, they were clicking on all cylinders and the D-line also looked good especially the transfer from UTSA (Trey Moore), he looked really good." (Full article.) Shadow Creek Top247 CB Cobey Sellers breaks down Friday's all-day visit to Texas Jordan Scruggs (Horns 247)
