  1. My experience was similar. Fema did jack shit for me
  2. instead of your typical "I will be out of office from 7/1/25 to 7/15/25, I will have limited access to email and phone calls during this time" this asshole had to put in there "I will be out of office cycling the Spanish Pyrenees yada yada yada". fucking cyclists
  3. if you translate that to late 80's or early 90's dollars that is like 5 years worth of family vacations for my redneck clan
  4. well they got rid of Dumba
  5. yeah, I'm afraid there are going to be so many people that are never found, until the next big flood washes away the sand and stone to reveal what is left
  6. Ford F250 (the vehicle, not the poster here) buried in rock and sand:
  7. they are going to do a cover of Pat Green's "Wave on Wave"
  8. yikes I also wonder how many they don't know about, i.e. people from out of state camping in their 5th wheel, and the only record of them being there is when they checked in at the campground office that has since been washed away. nobody will know they are missing until they never show up back "home", if they even have a permanent home
  9. yelling "bang" as you are throwing weak-ass punches is pretty funny
  10. at least you didn't post it upside down
  11. no matter what he says it is going to be the wrong answer
  12. I respectfully disagree. When a flood watch is posted in perhaps the most flash flood prone region in the country, and the most flash flood prone river within that region, then the adults need to be on 100% alert, if not take immediate precautionary moves to higher ground. Yeah they may have been lucky the last umpteen times and nothing happened but when the lucky streak runs out it will run out in a bad way.
  13. I find that hard to believe as well, I guess we will have our answer in a few hours
  14. this was the first official Flood Watch from the NWS. later updates kept increasing the potential for higher rainfalls
  15. fair point. my summer camp experience was getting to work for the local farmers so I got to deal with aggies which may or may not be worse
