  1. My favorite part of the Pennsylvania response is that one of the cases they include in their references is "Socialist Labor Party vs. Gilligan". I mean, I don't care what that opinion supports or denies, you gotta love it, right?
  2. Yes, unrealistic. It would be far more likely for them to join Canada.
  3. It actually makes more sense for Cali/Ore/Wash than for anyone else. And no, they wouldn't purchase shit. They pay more to the rest of us than we do to them. No, they'd take it all, and say "Come and take it" and the Cialis swilling pantywaists in the Republican party would bitch and moan and do nothing. Kinda like what they did during the Vietnam War.
  4. I've smoked real pot with a dude that looked like Frampton which is way cooler/ Hedburg Frampton is actually okay to listen to, provided you're bangin' a hot chick at the time. Of course, that's also true of Englebert Humperdink, so, you know, whatever.
  5. Holy shit, these morally bankrupt dumbasses are actually saying out loud they want nothing to do with the people who are paying for their depravity. FUCK THEM ALL. I've been silent on the blowback to "Hillbilly Elegy" because I thought it was stupid. But let me tell you -- I vacation in Appalachia, because it's beautiful. But the people? The LAZIEST, STUPIDEST motherfuckers on the planet. White trash doesn't even begin to describe them. Go ahead. Secede. And when your rent comes due, don't fucking come crying, bitches.
  6. The least bad option is "not". We may get another 9/11 out of it, but hey, at least we won't get an apocalypse.
  7. "Ohmygod, a talking guitar!" Get. The. Fuck. Out.
  8. You're just gonna discount the Regulators in Alamance County in 1770? Or the New England secession movement of the first decade of the 1800's? Nah, taking your marbles and going home is an American tradition. We're sore losers from the get-go.
  9. You're reading too much into it. Right wing fundamentalists have always had a fascinating love/hate thing going on with Judaism, and the further right you go, the weirder it gets. Your typical mainstream Southern Baptist is normal enough about it, but your tinfoil hat wearing, InfoWars reading psychotic bunch... you know, Trumpers... have totally left the reservation. Don't try to make any sense out of it, it's just as bat-shit crazy as anything else the Q people come up with.
  10. Frankly, I don't see the parallels to the current situation. But, hey, if the Trump admin folk want to go the way of the Sicarii at the end of the Siege of Masada, I for one won't stand in their way.
  11. Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr (R) called Paxton's boondoggle "constitutionally, morally, and factually wrong". I'm thinking that right there is banner-worthy.
  12. Oh, the problem isn't that they aren't getting anything done. The problem is that they aren't getting anything done that doesn't directly relate to lining their own pockets.
  13. Tomorrow, and we'll never hear them mention Paxton's bullshit. They'll ignore it altogether.
  14. Dude, it's not our fault you attended MAGA University.
  15. Well, to be fair, we're kinda sitting on a few political powder kegs in NC at the moment. If we'd run anybody other than a dumbass Bill Clinton clone for Senate, we might have made some noise, but then, if we'd run anybody other than a dumbass Bill Clinton clone for Senate, we probably would have won it outright.
  16. I dunno, seems to me that's sort of a prerequisite for the job, actually.
  17. I'm kinda amused that in 2020, there are still people who cling to the possibility of having a reasonable expectation of privacy. Maybe I've just been a parent for too long now, but it seems to me that whole "I'm gonna keep my secrets secret" ship has sailed a long, long time ago. Don't do anything you don't want people finding out about, it's as simple as that.
  18. You're making some awfully big assumptions about the guy's health. The dude is pretty old. I'll be more than happy to get four whole minutes, though, because it would mark the end of the current shitshow.
